Chapter 63: You Like Me, Don't You?

Reluctantly Yours (HYUNHO)

Minho was doomed.

Utterly and completely doomed.

Hyunjin had always been playful, but now that they had shared multiple kisses and settled into whatever this was between them, Hyunjin had turned into a menace.

And Minho was suffering.

--

It started in the morning.

Minho was innocently making coffee when Hyunjin waltzed into the kitchen, still in his oversized pajama shirt, hair messy from sleep, looking way too soft for Minho's already crumbling resolve.

Hyunjin stretched, rubbing his eyes before lazily making his way over. "Morning, Minho."

Minho hummed in response, focused on his coffee.

And then—

Hyunjin wrapped his arms around him from behind and rested his chin on Minho's shoulder.

Minho froze.

Hyunjin's voice was warm with amusement. "Why are you so stiff?"

Minho cleared his throat. "Because you just latched onto me like a koala first thing in the morning."

Hyunjin hummed, unconcerned. "You don't mind."

Minho hated that Hyunjin was right.

He sighed. "Do you need something?"

Hyunjin grinned, voice dropping just enough to make Minho's entire soul leave his body.

"I wanna do it again."

Minho choked on air.

He spun around so fast that Hyunjin stumbled back, giggling. "What?"

Hyunjin grinned. "The kiss. I wanna do it again."

Minho glared, but his burning face probably ruined the effect. "Can you stop?"

Hyunjin, of course, did not stop.

Instead, he tilted his head, watching Minho with that infuriatingly knowing look.

"You liked it, huh?"

Minho clenched his jaw.

Hyunjin smirked.

"Oh my God." Minho turned away, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Hyunjin, absolutely thriving in Minho's misery, took a step closer. "You like me, don't you?"

Minho stiffened.

Hyunjin giggled. "You totally do."

Minho exhaled slowly. "I hate you."

Hyunjin only beamed. "Nah, you love me."

And then, because Hyunjin had no sense of self-preservation, he stood on his tiptoes and pecked Minho's cheek before skipping away like nothing happened.

Minho was doomed.

--

Later that night, Minho was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, when Hyunjin rolled over to face him.

"You awake?" Hyunjin whispered.

Minho sighed. "Obviously."

A pause.

Then—

"Do you like me?"

Minho turned his head, meeting Hyunjin's gaze.

Hyunjin looked genuinely curious, but there was also something soft in his expression, something hopeful.

Minho swallowed.

He could lie. He could avoid the question like he always did.

Or—

He could finally say the words.

Minho exhaled. "Yeah."

Hyunjin blinked.

Minho's voice was quieter this time. "I like you."

Hyunjin grinned.

"I knew it!"

Minho groaned. "Oh my God, you're insufferable."

Hyunjin giggled, rolling onto his stomach to face Minho properly. "Say it again."

Minho threw an arm over his face. "No."

Hyunjin pouted, tugging at Minho's sleeve. "Please?"

Minho groaned, but when he turned his head, Hyunjin was looking at him with those big, stupid, sparkling eyes and—

Minho was weak.

"...I like you," he muttered.

Hyunjin beamed.

And then, to Minho's absolute horror, Hyunjin giggled.

Minho narrowed his eyes. "What."

Hyunjin buried his face in Minho's shoulder, voice muffled. "It's just funny."

Minho scowled. "What's funny?"

Hyunjin peeked up at him, grinning. "I like you too."

Minho's brain short-circuited.

And then, Hyunjin leaned in and kissed him—soft, fleeting, but real.

Minho blinked at him, heart pounding. "You—"

Hyunjin just smiled. "I win."

Minho groaned. "You are the worst."

Hyunjin hummed, curling into Minho's side. "And yet, you like me."

Minho sighed, wrapping an arm around Hyunjin's waist. "Unfortunately."

Hyunjin just giggled, pressing his face into Minho's shoulder.

--

The next day, Minho and Hyunjin met up with the others for lunch.

Felix was the first to notice.

"Oh my God." Felix gasped, eyes flicking between them. "Did something happen?"

Hyunjin grinned. "Maybe."

Felix screamed.

Jisung, who had been mid-bite, nearly choked. "Wait, what?"

Chan raised an eyebrow. "You two seem... different."

Changbin smirked. "Did Hyunjin finally wear Minho down?"

Hyunjin beamed. "Yup."

Minho groaned, covering his face with his hands. "Kill me."

Jisung gasped. "Wait, wait, wait—did you confess?"

Hyunjin giggled. "He likes me."

Minho whipped around to glare at him. "Can you shut up?"

Hyunjin just smirked. "Nope."

Felix was practically bouncing. "Wait, are you official?"

Hyunjin glanced at Minho, tilting his head. "I mean... not yet?"

Jisung wiggled his eyebrows. "You guys kissed, though."

Minho sighed in defeat. "Yes."

Felix squealed. "Oh my God, FINALLY!"

Changbin grinned. "Damn. Never thought I'd see the day."

Chan chuckled. "So... what happens now?"

Hyunjin turned to Minho, eyes full of mischief.

Minho narrowed his eyes. "Don't."

Hyunjin grinned. "I wanna do it again."

Minho choked.

The whole table erupted in laughter.

Minho was doomed.

And the worst part?

He didn't mind one bit.
