Chapter 62: Wanna Do It Again?
Reluctantly Yours (HYUNHO)
Minho should have known Hyunjin wouldn't let it go.
Ever since that stupid moment at the amusement parkâthe kiss that shouldn't have happened but didâHyunjin had been relentless.
Not in a way that made Minho uncomfortable, but in a way that made his heart ache in the best and worst ways possible.
Because Hyunjin wouldn't stop teasing him.
It started the night after they got home.
Minho had been lying in bed, trying to sleep, when Hyunjinâwho was supposed to be on the other side of the bedârolled over and poked him.
"Hey," Hyunjin whispered.
Minho groaned. "Go to sleep."
Hyunjin poked him again. "Minho."
Minho cracked an eye open. "What."
A beat of silence. Thenâ
"Wanna do it again?"
Minho choked on air.
He sat up so fast he almost fell off the bed. "What the hell?"
Hyunjin burst out laughing, burying his face in the pillow.
Minho stared at him, absolutely baffled. "Are youâserious?"
Hyunjin peeked up at him with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I mean... you seemed to like it."
Minho died.
Actually died.
He hated how much Hyunjin was enjoying this.
With a groan, he flopped back down and pulled the blanket over his face. "I'm going to sleep."
Hyunjin giggled, settling back down beside him. "You're blushing."
"I am not."
"You so are."
Minho clenched his jaw, refusing to acknowledge how hot his face felt.
Hyunjin's voice softened. "You don't regret it, do you?"
Minho hesitated.
That was the problem.
He didn't regret it.
But that scared him more than anything.
Because now, every time he looked at Hyunjin, all he could think about was how soft his lips had been, how easily he had melted into him, how natural it had felt.
And that was dangerous.
So instead of answering, Minho sighed. "Go to sleep, Hyunjin."
He felt Hyunjin shift closer, just enough for their shoulders to brush.
"Night, Minho."
Minho closed his eyes, willing his heart to stop racing.
--
It had started out innocently.
Hyunjin had been whiny about the cold one night, and Minho, being the responsible one, had begrudgingly let him stay in his bed.
And then it happened again.
And again.
Until, eventually, neither of them questioned it anymore.
Now, it was just normal.
Minho didn't even think about it when they both climbed into bed at night.
What he did think about, however, was how Hyunjin had started to sleep closer.
He didn't know when it happened, but at some point, Hyunjin had stopped keeping distance between them. Some nights, Minho would wake up to find Hyunjin curled against his side, his face pressed into Minho's shoulder, his breathing slow and steady.
And Minho... never pushed him away.
Because, as much as he hated to admit itâ
It felt nice.
It felt right.
--
The next morning, Minho walked into the kitchen, groggy and half-awake, only to hear Felix cackling.
Minho blinked. "What's so funny?"
Felix smirked. "Ask Hyunjin."
Minho narrowed his eyes, turning toward the culprit, who was sitting at the counter, sipping his coffee like he hadn't just ruined Minho's life.
Hyunjin smiled sweetly. "Morning, Minho."
Minho knew that tone.
And he did not like it.
"What did you do," Minho asked suspiciously.
Hyunjin tilted his head. "What do you mean?"
Minho crossed his arms. "Why is Felix looking at me like I just committed a crime?"
Felix burst into laughter again.
Hyunjin, still way too pleased with himself, set his coffee down and pulled out his phone. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe because of this."
He turned the screen toward Minho.
And Minho's soul left his body.
Because there, on the screen, was a picture of them.
In bed.
With Hyunjin practically draped over Minho, his face buried in his shoulder, Minho's arm loosely wrapped around him.
Minho panicked. "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?"
Hyunjin grinned. "I woke up before you and thought it was cute, so I took a picture."
Felix was dying.
Minho wanted to explode.
"YouâYou can't justâ" He sputtered, completely betrayed.
Hyunjin batted his lashes. "Relax, I didn't post it anywhere. It's just for me."
That did not make Minho feel any better.
Felix wiped tears from his eyes. "Oh my God, this is the best thing that's ever happened."
Hyunjin hummed. "It's not even the best part."
Minho glared. "What else did you do?"
Hyunjin leaned in, voice teasing.
"I set it as my lock screen."
Minho died.
Again.
--
That night, when they were lying in bed, Minho let out a sigh.
"Hyunjin."
Hyunjin turned to face him. "Yeah?"
Minho hesitated, staring at the ceiling.
There was so much he wanted to say.
But he settled for something simple.
"I don't mind this."
Hyunjin blinked. "What do you mean?"
Minho swallowed. "You... being here. With me. I don't mind it."
Hyunjin's expression softened.
Minho exhaled. "I actuallyâ" He trailed off, shaking his head. "Never mind."
Hyunjin shifted closer. "Minho."
Minho turned to face him.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then, Hyunjin smiled.
"I don't mind it either."
Minho's heart stuttered.
Maybeâ
Just maybeâ
He didn't have to hold back anymore.
