Chapter 61: Something About You

Reluctantly Yours (HYUNHO)

The train ride back home was a mess.

Jisung was half-asleep, draped dramatically over Felix's lap. Chan and Changbin were arguing over who had the worst sunburn (Chan definitely lost). Jeongin was scrolling through his phone, pretending he didn't know any of them.

And Minho?

Minho was pretending he wasn't staring at Hyunjin.

Hyunjin was sitting by the window, chin resting on his palm, watching the city lights blur past as they got closer to home. The golden glow from the streetlights outside made his skin look warm, his soft, tousled hair framing his face perfectly.

Minho's grip tightened on his phone.

Before he could even think about stopping himself, he lifted it and—click.

A perfect snapshot of Hyunjin, looking ethereal without even trying.

Minho checked the picture.

Then, without hesitation, he set it as his home screen.

And just as he locked his phone—

"Did you just take a picture of me?"

Minho nearly threw his phone.

Hyunjin was staring at him, an amused smile playing on his lips.

Minho cleared his throat. "What? No."

Hyunjin narrowed his eyes. "Yes, you did."

Felix, who had been half-listening, perked up. "Minho taking candid pictures of Hyunjin? Oh, this is getting good."

Jisung suddenly wasn't asleep anymore. "No way. Let me see."

Minho panicked.

"No," he deadpanned, shoving his phone into his pocket.

Hyunjin smirked.

He leaned in slightly, voice teasing. "Was it a good picture at least?"

Minho scoffed. "Obviously."

Hyunjin chuckled, stretching his arms above his head before settling back down. "You could've just asked to take a picture of me, you know."

Minho was not about to admit he wanted the picture for himself.

Instead, he rolled his eyes. "Yeah, sure. Next time, I'll ask you to pose like one of those influencers."

Hyunjin gasped. "You think I could be an influencer?"

Felix snorted. "Hyunjin, you already act like one."

Hyunjin flipped his hair dramatically. "True."

Minho just shook his head, but he was smiling.

--

The next morning, Minho woke up feeling too comfortable.

It took him a moment to realize why.

Because there, curled up beside him, was Hyunjin.

His face was turned toward Minho, his breathing soft, lips slightly parted. His hair was messy from sleep, a few strands falling over his forehead.

Minho swallowed.

He was used to waking up alone. Even when Seungmin used to stay over, they had always kept their distance.

But this?

Hyunjin was close enough that Minho could see the faint freckles on his nose, the soft rise and fall of his chest.

Minho exhaled slowly.

His hand twitched. Don't do it.

And then—

He did.

Before he could stop himself, Minho reached out and brushed Hyunjin's hair back.

And that's when Hyunjin stirred.

Minho barely had time to think before Hyunjin's eyes fluttered open.

Minho froze.

Hyunjin blinked at him, dazed from sleep. Then—

A soft, sleepy smile. "Morning."

Minho felt his heart stutter.

"Go back to sleep," Minho muttered, rolling onto his back.

Hyunjin chuckled, closing his eyes again. "Bossy."

Minho bit the inside of his cheek.

I am so screwed.

--

Hyunjin could tell something was up with Minho.

He didn't know what, exactly.

But Minho was being weird.

It wasn't that he was ignoring him—quite the opposite. He was staying close, making little comments here and there, but every time their eyes met for too long, Minho would look away.

Which, for Minho, was not normal.

So naturally, Hyunjin had to poke the bear.

They were sitting on the couch later that evening, scrolling through their phones, when Hyunjin casually leaned over and said,

"Let me see your home screen."

Minho stiffened.

Hyunjin smirked. "Come on, I showed you mine."

Minho scoffed. "I never asked to see yours."

Hyunjin pouted. "You're being so suspicious right now."

Minho refused to make eye contact.

Felix, who was in the kitchen grabbing snacks, overheard everything.

"Wait, Minho, why don't you wanna show him?" Felix smirked. "What are you hiding?"

Jisung peeked in from the hallway. "Minho? Hiding something? This I have to see."

Minho groaned, throwing his head back. "Oh my God."

Hyunjin giggled. "Just show me."

"No."

Hyunjin gasped. "So there is something!"

Minho side-eyed him. "Drop it."

Hyunjin, now fully entertained, grinned.

"Ohhh, let me guess," he teased. "It's probably a picture of Dori, right?"

Minho said nothing.

Hyunjin's grin widened. "Or maybe... it's a picture of me?"

Minho immediately got up and left the room.

Hyunjin cackled. "That's basically a confession, Lee Minho!"

Felix clapped. "I knew it."

Jisung whistled. "Oh man, he's down bad."

Minho yelled from the hallway, "I hate all of you."

Hyunjin just smiled.

Yeah.

This was definitely getting interesting.
