(33) Man Period Probably
I Made A Bet With The Bad Boy ✔️
"So...You didn't tell me how your date went!"
"Mother! You can't be so nosy! Aren't you supposed to be more strict or something?" I shout, sprinting up the stairs trying to out run her.
"Yeah but I'm a cool mom!? Right Cassie? Such a cool mom." She smiles, proudly looking at me. I cringe at her word choice.
If cool means slightly annoying but still lovable, then yeah, she's a cool mom.
"No." I grunt, facing her.
"Tell me sweetheart!"
"Nooo mom!" I whimper, blushing.
"You're blushing Miss Cassiopeia! I know you are! Tell me, or I will call Carter right now and-"
"Fine!" I roll my eyes. "He challenged me to a bet that's it." I smile, letting her into my room.
"What was the bet?" She wiggles her eyebrows.
"Well...It wasn't really a bet..."
Oh yes it was Cassie, and his was the first time you've won one in years.
"Just tell me child!" She flops on my bed.
"He asked me to be his girlfriend and I technically said yes! That's it mom!" I whimper.
And that's.
When my.
Eardrums.
Bleed.
"Oh my god! Where are your best friends, this is amazing! My daughter with her first boyfriend, this is going to be amazing! You know what we need..."
Oh no. Please don't...Mother...
"A PARTY! LETS CELEBRATE-"
"Calm yourself birth giver!" I chuckle, pushing her off the bed. "I want to sleep please!"
"Fine. But I knew this whole Cartsie situation would work out. I ship it!" She swoons, walking out of my room. "Goodnight Cassie."
"Goodnight mom." I whisper.
Before falling asleep, wondering how Monday is going to work out with a special someone.

"Hey boo." He says loudly, kissing the top of my head. I cringe at how loud he said it.
"You're so embarrassing." I sigh, elbowing him in the ribs.
"And that hurt." He winces. "Now get on. Little miss goodie-two shoes probably doesn't want to be late to school."
"And what about you mister bad boy? When was the last time you've went to class?" I smirk, hopping onto the back of his bike, just before he starts and leaves.
But really, I barely have seen Carter anywhere in the school at all this whole entire year.
"Actually, you're sticking with me the whole day. And you, are going to go to your classes." I continue.
"Yeah right. Like I'm going to do that."
I will force him if I have to.
"You should've gotten a longer shirt." He chuckles, as I remember him eying me up and down before the ride.
"We've been over this before."
"Yeah, yeah. Don't have to explain it to me Cassie."
I wait a couple minutes before answering him again.
"Well what if I do?" I squint my eyes at him.
"Well then don't."
"Why?"
"No more questions sunshine. We're here." He mumbles.
We quickly get off and walk towards the school before I hear a familiar voice shouting behind me.
"Cassie! Cassie!" The voice yells, angrily. I turn around to face the source of the noise.
"Who peed in your cornflakes today, Jace?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"You forgot the fucking movie on Friday! I texted you a billion messages!" He yells at me.
Oh god. I was so excited for the date I completely forgot about the movie...
"I didn't get any messages..." I whisper, cocking my head to the side in confusion.
"I might've blocked his number for you one time." Carter whispers in my ear.
Oh Carter...
"And I'm guessing you two are back together then?!" He says through a clenched jaw. "Fine then Cassie! If you're going to be like that." He mutters, walking off.
"Jace! Wait-I'm sorry!" I grab his arm, turning me around. But he just slaps it away.
"Bitch." He walks off, flipping me off.
I stand there in shock of what just happened.
"Don't worry Cas, I'll protect you the next time. I can't believe sweet ol Jace did that though!"
"Man period probably." I suggest to Carter, laughing.
He tries to stifle a laugh, "Most likely."
"You know me so well." I smile, pecking his lips.
We continue walking to the front of the school and split up before I tell him that he is coming with me the whole school day so that he can go to class once the bell rings.
"What was up with you and Carter over there?" Tessa raised an eyebrow at me.
"Did he propose?" Laila wiggles her eyebrows. "You didn't tell us what happened the night of the date..."
Oh shoot! I forgot to tell them everything over the weekend.
"Tell us Cassie, please!" They both beg.
So I tell them everything. Almost everything Carter and I discussed and said. I told them all about the Harry guy and how we were able to walk to the pond. Then I topped it all off by ending with how he asked me out to be his girlfriend.
"Cassie's got a boyfriend! Cassie's got a boyfriend!" Tessa chants, dancing around me.
"I thought you didn't like Carter?" I mutter.
"Yeah, I don't. But I'm happy you have your first boyfriend Cassie!" Tessa responds, still dancing around me.
"And what about you and Blake? You haven't talked about him since the movie night months ago!" I ask. She had been obsessing over Blake every single day until it all just stopped.
Tessa's face flushed a deep shade of red. "We broke up. He wasn't the one for me."
"Aww, Tess. How come you didn't tell us?"
"I forgot." She suddenly laughs.

"Mister Wayford! You finally decide to join us...On the third to last week of school." My math teacher grunts.
The whispering gets louder as people notice he's in the room.
"It's a pleasure to. But I'm only doing it for my girlfriend." He winks at me. The girls start to all fawn over the way he winked wondering if it was at them.
Like no. Are you his girlfriend? I am.
Ok now I understand why Carter gets jealous...
He walks to the empty seat behind me that is usually empty because that's where he sits. Then he places his arms over his head to show that he is sleeping.
"Carter!?" I whisper at him. "You're not supposed to sleep!"
"It's ok princess, I know you're concerned about me but I can handle myself." He winks, putting his arms back over his head.
I just roll my eyes.
"Ok class!" The teacher interrupts, making the whispers die down. "We are going to continue our analysis on question four as I bet some of you are going to have a hard time answering it." He glares at Carter.
But Carter is still 'asleep'. Doesn't he know he is going to embarrass himself once Mr. Crawford picks on him to answer the question?
Me. Crawford always picks the people that aren't paying attention.
"So does anyone have a guess? To what the answer is?" Mr Crawford looks around. Some hands shoot up, but we all know he isn't going to pick those people.
"No? How about you Mister Wayford." He smiles, triumphantly.
Oh no...Here it goes....
"Yes?" His head shoots up.
"The answer to four?" Mr. Crawford smiles, tapping his fingers on his desk. "I knew it Mister Wayford. Anyone else-"
"The answer is 8, because you have to carry the 4 and..." Carter interrupts, explaining how he got the answer.
He can't be correct. No way! We've been studying this equation for months now! Even nerdy miss Cathy Williams hasn't been able to figure out the answer to the equation...
Is Carter secretly a math genius too?
"Why...That is..." The teacher stutters.
Don't worry Crawford, I'm amazed too.
"That is the answer."
Huh. I guess I have a lot more to learn about this bad boy.

A very fun chapter, just shows how their first day of their relationship is going!
I'm going to end the book around chapter 35 so things are coming to a close. I know I said I would do it around chapters 40-50 but it would just run on and on and on. But I will have some bonus chapters too! It's so sad. I love this book with all my heart!
Love you guys!
