(23) Ordering A Unicorn Onesie Off Of Amazon
I Made A Bet With The Bad Boy ✔️
"I've got thick skiiiiin and an elastic heaaaaaart! Ohh!"
"Shut up, you're hurting my eardrums."
"I can sing a lot better than you can!" I scoff.
"Wanna bet on it?" He raises his eyebrow.
"Go ahead. It's not like your a good singer anyways." I roll my eyes.
Come on. It's Carter Wayford. He's the school bad boy. Isn't he supposed to be picking fights instead of picking songs to sing?
Well. Now that I've met him he's sort of not a bad boy anymore.
Maybe I changed him, muahahahaha!
"Kay then. Meet me outside of your house at 7:00. We're going somewhere." He winks.
"Is this supposed to be a date?" I smile.
"What if it is?" He smirks.
Ok. If it is, maybe I'm fine with it.
"I doubt you have plans for tonight anyways."
"Excuse me!"
"Oh did you fart?" He laughs.
"Are you trying to offend me? Because all that really did was embarrass yourself even more. You're so childish." I sigh.
"You know you love me, sweetheart. Anyways, this is your stop. I'll see you at 7:00." He grins, blowing a fake kiss towards me as I hop off.
"Loser!" I yell from my steps.
"Sweetheart!" He yells back.
I think I really do like this guy. But I wonder, does he really like me back?

I don't slack off on what I'm going to wear, but I'm not too fancy or casual-fancy if that makes sense.
Carter texted me to wear something casual. I just wore a white cropped sweater and some high waisted jeans. (Below). Who knows what could happen tonight...Might as well be comfortable.
I call Laila and tell her everything about what's going on tonight.
"So, you're going on a date with him? I take back what I said about him being a douchebag. Maybe he is sweet!" Laila swoons.
Aw, she's such a hopeless romantic.
"Enough about me, what about you and Greyson? Any luck with him?" I ask.
"He broke up with Lydia after the party. Apparently it was because he caught her hooking up with some other guy." She explains.
Huh. Sounds like me and Carter's incident. This time gone wrong.
"That sucks. You happy about it?" I ask, plopping a mint in my mouth.
Not for any reason.
For real. I really just like mints.
"Not really. I feel bad for Lydia, but I feel bad for him too. He seems so down and depressed. He says that he feels a lot better when he's around me." She squeals.
"Awww. That's cute."
Ding-dong.
"Oh! That's him I think. I got to go Laila, see you tomorrow!"
"Kay. Tell me everything girlieee!" She squeaks, then hangs up.
I run downstairs and quickly yell at my mom that I'm going out. Then I open the door.
"Hey, you ready." He wiggles his eyebrows.
"Mhm. Watch me win this bet." I smirk.
"Yeah right."
"Now that I think about it, what's up with us and bets?" I laugh, walking up to his motorcycle.
"I don't know. Must be our thing or something like that."
Hmm. Our thing. I like that.
Ok, I think I'm low key obsessed with Carter.
Shhh, don't tell anyone though. :p
I hop onto his bike and wrap my arms around him before we take off.
"Ok. I've made up my mind on what I want if I win the bet." He grins, deviously. "You have to go to the mall in a unicorn costume and do the most awkward dances at the entrance." He laughs.
"Where'd you get that idea from?!" I raise an eyebrow.
"It's a secret." He smiles.
Ok. Pfft. Like I'm going to actually do that. There's no chance that pretty boy can sing.
"Okay. And if I win?"
"What do you want?" He asked.
Hehe. He shouldn't have asked me that question.
'Shopping spree!' I chant in my head.
Just kidding. You actually think that I'm going to give up a good chance of me embarrassing Carter?
Hell no!
"You have to get into a hot dog suit and start singing fetus Justin Bieber songs at the mall." I smirk.
Haha. This is going to work out perfectly.
"That sounds like so much fun! Note the sarcasm." He says.
After an awkward moment of silence, I decide to break it.
"YOU SHOOT ME DOWN! BUT I WONT FALL! I AM TITANIUMNNM!" I sing out.
"Oh my fucking god, you are actually hurting my ears. Shut up."
"What? I'm warming up." I smile.
"Well, stop cause we're here."
He parks his bike in the parking lot of this building. I take the time to read the flashing neon sign that says 'Okie Dokie, Kareoke.'
Haha. So clever.
*insert picture of me rolling my eyes*
"So you brought me to a restaurant with karaoke?" I raise my eyebrow, grinning.
"Not just any karaoke. Competitive karaoke! The audience is going to decide who is better, from the two of us."
What the hell? There's something called 'competitive karaoke'?
Oh fuck it. This is going to be fun.

Ok I'll be honest right here. I'm not bad at singing. I'm actually pretty good at it. I've won 3 talent shows when I was younger.
That's why I'm pretty confident. I'm already set on singing 'Mercy' by Shawn Mendes.
Why? Because he's secretly my online crush. Don't tell Carter though. Because he's going to get jealoussss!
The karaoke guy walks up on stage, he's pretty old, and by the way Carter's looking and nodding at me, I'm pretty sure we're competing next.
"Ok! So we have 2 competitors singing here at Okie Dokie Karaoke! So we have, Cassie Mavis and Carver Wayford!" The guy says, but then he's interrupted by a much younger guy that tells him something in his ear.
"Oh my bad! Cassie Davis, and Carter Wayford! And remember the rules my folks, once they sing it, you judge it! So can we have Cassie Davis come up!" He finishes.
I'm pretty calm. I mean, I've been in so many talent shows when I was younger. I'm pretty used to this. I tell the karaoke guy what I'm singing and he goes over to his station.
The song starts to play, and I start jamming out.
"Mmmm...I can't take anymore, i'm saying baby please have mercy on me! Take it easy on my heart!...."
Before I realize it, the song is over and I just know there's no way Carter can beat me. I killed that song! Not to brag, but I did amazing!
"Give it up for Cassie Davis! Now, upcoming we have Carter Wayford!" The karaoke guy says again.
He reminds me of Santa Claus for some reason.
Ok. Never mind. That was weird.
As Carter walks up, he pauses right beside me. "Not bad sweetheart, but I don't think that'll be good enough." He smirks.
Douchebag!
"Not good enough...I'd like to see you beat me..." I mumble.
I sit back in the chair and relax. I wait for Carter to start embarrassing himself. Oh this is going to be great.
It sucks that no one we know is here.
But there are a bunch of obnoxious 15 year olds gushing out in the front at Carter. Some of them glare at me so I just give them a much eviler glare.
Muahahaha!
I need to stop with those cheesy evil laughs.
I shift my eyes back to Carter and pull out my phone so I can savor the moment that Carter embarrassed himself. The song has started playing...'Drag Me Down' by One Direction.
Aww, is he a Directioner too? How cute! I didn't know Carter had a 16 year old girl side of him...
I just can't wait to see how bad his voice really is-
Holy shit!
He can actually sing!
Might as well order a unicorn onesie off of Amazon now.

So? Hehe. Who knew Carter could actually sing!?
And bring out his 16 year old fan girl side hehe.
He isn't so much of a bad boy now that he's revealed all of his secrets...or did he?
Thanks for 20k guys! I really appreciate y'all! I'm actually thinking about making this book longer. Maybe up to 40-50 chapters? I was planning on making it 30 but that doesn't look like that's going to happen. Do you guys think I should do it? There are some people that like shorter books, and I totally understand. Just comment your opinion please! It would really help to know!
Did you like this chapter? It was more of a fun chapter without much drama hehe.
