“Carrie! Why do you treat me like this? For the past three or four years, I have given you my heart and soul! I saved money and gave all my money to you, just to show you my sincerity! Why do you still abandon me and be with this middle–aged fat man?”

The boy grabbed the girl’s hand and pointed at the fat old man in his forties aside, completely unable to control his emotions.

Adrien Higgins looked at Carrie Archer in disbelief as she heartlessly slapped away his hand.

Hah, you’d better stay away from me in the future! Don’t ever come to me again!” Carrie spoke with extreme disdain in Adrien’s ear.

Her words were like a dagger digging into his heart.

Adrien watched as the two walked away side by side, the pain on his face bringing him a moment of clarity.

He worked so hard for three years just to see Carrie’s smile. Now it seemed that Adrien was nothing but a stepping stone for her.

Carrie had ruthlessly trampled on Adrien’s face and shattered all his hopes and dreams for the future.

The gloomy sky over Reburg was terrifying, and the invisible infrabar caused pedestrians to quicken their pace, afraid of being caught off guard by a sudden downpour Adrien walked alone on the street, watching as the storm approached with roaring winds, and the anger in his heart burst forth “You adulterers!! After a tirade of curses, people passing by Adrien thought Adrien was crazy, hurrying past Adrien.
