Chapter 97

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 97 No Divorce

Cordelia didn't want to speak to him and turned over.

“Cordelia, I've thought about it carefully.”

Behind her came the sound of slippers rubbing against the floor.

Elijah slowly approached her and finally stood by the bed, staring at her

side face with burning eyes.

Cordelia was really uncomfortable being stared at by him for a long

time, so she sat up.

“What the hell are you trying to say?”

Elijah seemed to like to see her little prickly face. He was sitting down

slowly, not in a hurry.

“Then shut up your mouth for good.”

Cordelia got out of bed and was about to stand up but staggered. The

muscles in her legs were trembling.

She found that her legs did not seem to be her own.

So, she gritted her teeth and sat back beside the bed.

At this time, the man’s voice came from the top of her head. “I thought

about it. I will not cure Eva's leg.”

Cordelia froze and slowly turned to look at Elijah.

She saw his full lips move slightly, and he said lightly, “We won't

divorce!”

“Elijah...” Cordelia’s eyes turned red. “Why do you bully me so much?”

Elijah chuckled and leaned closer to her small face, “You are my wife. If I

don't bully you, who will I bully?”

The bully he referred to was obviously related to something on the

bed.

“No! We have to divorce!” Cordelia pushed his hand away. She had no

obligation to continue to endure his impertinence

Elijah’s eyes darkened slightly.

“In the three years since you married into the Hansen family, no one

has mistreated you, right? And it protected you from three years of

hardships.

“Now that you've consolidated your power, your family has acquired

enough things from me, and you have Milo backing you up, so you

decided to kick me away?”

Cordelia looked at Elijah in disbelief. “So this is what you have been

thinking about for such a long time?”

“Otherwise?” Elijah turned up his volume. “I admit that I was

really dissatisfied with my family's interference in my marriage back

then. At that time, I didn't even know whether you were black or white,

tall, short, chubby, or slender.

“But, do you know how much the Deleon family sold you? Three

hundred million dollars!”

Cordelia’s eyes widened suddenly.

She said anxiously, “I don't know about this at all. I wouldn't have let

them ask for so much if I had known initially!”

Elijah caressed her face. “I know you have no idea about this.”

After all, they had been married for three years. Despite their bad

relationship, they still understood each other's temperament.

However, the surprises that Cordelia brought him were continuously

being updated. She constantly brought him new feelings.

“For the sake of the Hansen family’s so much love for you, you should

rethink about the divorce, right?”

Elijah’s persuasiveness in presenting the facts and reasoning made

Cordelia fall into thinking for a while.

"So, you really plan to stick to this meaningless marriage at the price of

Eva's legs?” She asked him puzzled,

Elijah raised his eyebrows with a serious face. “I know better

than anyone else whether my marriage is meaningful or not.

As for Eva, I think it is much more reassuring for her to sit in a

wheelchair when she has such a temper.”

“Really? Aren't you afraid that she will commit suicide again?” Cordelia

asked coolly.

“I can only protect her from being bullied by outsiders. No one can

prevent her if she insists on seeking her own death,” Elijah said in a cold

tone.

Cordelia frowned. After talking for a long time, he would continue to

protect and involve Eva.

She was restless, and her stomach gradually began to churn again. She

quickly covered her mouth and ran towards the bathroom.

Elijah looked at her hurried back in surprise and hurriedly followed her.
