Chapter 93

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 93 Ben Must Be Blind

Elijah’s tone was very gentle, devoid of any sarcasm. Cordelia didn't

bother to argue and accepted it with a smile.

“Where did you buy the lucky charm for my grandpa?” Elijah withdrew

his hand and asked calmly.

“I bought the materials and made it myself.” Cordelia glanced at the

time. “Aren't you leaving yet? You'll be late.”

“It's fine. I won't be late.” Elijah suddenly grabbed Cordelia“s hand and

pulled it towards himself, examining it closely. “How come I never

noticed before that you're quite skilled with your hands?”

Cordelia kept a straight face. “Probably because you used to be blind to

my worth.”

Elijah’s grip on her hand stiffened for a moment before he let go with a

detached demeanor. “Unappreciative. I'm leaving now. And I'll be back

tonight.”

Cordelia remained silent.

She wasn't necessarily going to wait here for him tonight obediently.

She had no obligation to do so.

After Elijah left, Cordelia immediately lay back down on the bed.

She glanced at the untouched half of the bed and saw the sheets

slightly wrinkled. Letting out a cold snort, she closed her eyes.

She didn't want to shortchange herself when living alone, even just a

little.

After getting enough rest, Cordelia left the apartment to buy some

materials. She made another lucky charm and brought it to the Hansen

Manor.

Upon hearing that Cordelia had arrived, Lamia became excited and

dragged Cordelia into her room after Cordelia finished talking with the

elders.

“What's going on? Do you have something to tell me?” Cordelia asked,

looking puzzled.!

“Cordelia, do you know that Elissa got into another fight with someone

last night?” Lamia said, handing her phone to Cordelia as if presenting

a treasure.

Cordelia glanced at the screen and widened her eyes in astonishment.

"Imogen?"

In the video, the two women fighting were Elissa in her striking red

outfit and, unmistakably, the petite and slender Imogen.

“No wonder she looked familiar. We seemed to have had a meal

together, right?” Lamia suddenly realized. “If I had known she was your

friend, I would have gone to help her.”

Cordelia rubbed her forehead. “I should be thankful you didn't

get involved!"!

No wonder she heard Elijah on the phone in the living room last night,

asking about injuries. It turned out to be about Imogen and Elissa.

Cordelia took out her phone and quickly called Imogen, only to find

that Imogen'’s phone was turned off.

At that moment, Edith knocked on the door. “Cordelia, why don't you

stay over tonight? I've already talked to Elijah, and he'll come here after

work.”

“Sorry, Mom. I have something to attend to. I need to leave,” Cordelia

quickly said.

Lamia nodded along. “Yeah, Mom. Cordelia really has something to

do."

Edith looked at Lamia suspiciously, noticing her sudden change. She

seemed to be getting along quite well with Cordelia recently.

After leaving the Hansen Manor, Cordelia headed straight to Imogen's

apartment.

However, when the door opened, it was Ben who stood there.

“Why are you here? Is Imogen badly injured?” Cordelia said and tried to

break in.

But Ben raised a finger to his lips in a hushing gesture. “Shh... She's

sleeping.”

Cordelia checked the time. It was 4:30 PM. She didn’t understand why

Imogen slept at this time.

“She's fine. No need to make such a fuss,” Ben said coldly.

Fuss?

Cordelia glared at Ben and took a seat on the sofa. “Haven't you broken

up? Can't you just mind your own business?”

Ben gave her a half-smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. “You two

divorced, and yet you still live together. Do you have the right to say

that?”

Cordelia chuckled, “You men have a mansion to live in, yet you like to

pester and cling to our little apartments. So disgusting...”

Though Cordelia was polite and generally refrained from using harsh

words, it didn’t stop her from silently cursing in her mind.

Ben scrutinized Cordelia for a moment and then snorted, “Sharp-

tongued as ever. You're only this bold because Elijah dotes on you,

allowing you to be arrogant with me!”

Cordelia was stunned.

“What did Ben say? Elijah dotes on me? He must be blind!" She

thought.
