Chapter 58 Share the Table

Imogen compiled Cordelia’s video and posted it on major video

platforms in the past few days. The traffic had brought her a lot of

income.

That night, Imogen invited Cordelia to a meal, and they discussed their

ideas for the next step.

“Cordelia?”

As soon as Lamia entered the restaurant, she saw Cordelia from a

distance and immediately called her loudly.

Cordelia was a little surprised and looked up. She saw Lamia follow

three men into the restaurant, who were Elijah, Ben, and Jacob.

“Jacob is back?” Imogen said in a low voice.

Cordelia didn’t know Jacob but still nodded to him.

Jacob was very handsome and had delicate facial features.

Seeing Jacob shaking hands with Cordelia and Imogen, Lamia muttered

unhappily, “We're not at a negotiating table. Why did you make it so

official?”

Jacob immediately proposed to share the table. Cordelia and Imogen

looked at each other. They were a little unhappy, but they felt too

embarrassed to refuse.

Lamia asked cautiously, “Cordelia, have you and your friend already

ordered?”

Cordelia said with a smile, “Yeah, the food should be served soon, so we

don't want to disturb your party.”

Elijah said flatly, “It's okay. I'll ask the waiter to find a bigger table. My

treat.”

Cordelia and Imogen were both speechless.

They didn't want to have a meal with Elijah and the others at all.

Since Elijah had decided, Lamia couldn't say anything else.

She followed behind unwillingly and watched Cordelia and Imogen

vigilantly as if she were afraid they would communicate with Jacob too

much.

After they entered the box, Cordelia and Imogen found two seats next

to each other.

Then, Elijah and Ben sat on their sides.

“The driver is outside. You can drink if you want,” Elijah said softly.

Lamia looked at Elijah, widening her eyes. “Elijah, isn't Cordelia trying to

get pregnant? How can she drink?”

After Lamia spoke, the whole room suddenly fell into silence.

Cordelia’s face was gloomy, and she looked at Lamia coldly.

What do you look at me like that? I didn't say anything wrong!” Lamia

was used to being arrogant and always thought she was superior to

other women.

Hearing this, Elijah said casually, “She's my wife. It's none of your

business.”

“Elijah...” Lamia wanted to retort but stopped speaking when Elijah gave

her a look.

Imogen was envious and whispered to Cordelia, “Your husband is so

manly!”

Cordelia just smiled and didn't speak.

She was actually a little surprised. After all, when Lamia used to speak

without thinking in public, Elijah never stopped her.

What happened? That was not like him today.

Even though Elijah was abnormal, Cordelia was still calm. She wouldn't

be touched just because he defended her.

His attitude towards her always depended on his mood. Especially

recently, he often had mood swings. She didn't want her mood to be

affected by his attitude as it was very

returned from studying abroad. He had known Elijah and Ben for a long

time, and they had a very good relationship.
