Chapter 294

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 294 They Maybe Already Married

When Cordelia fell into Eason's arms, she lost consciousness for a brief

moment.

When she regained her senses, she found herself lying in a guest room

at Adam's house.

Next to her, Eason held her hand, looking at her with worry.

Cordelia moved her fingers and said with a bitter smile, "Eason, did you

try to wake me up?"

"Yes, I tried to wake you up, but it didn't work, so I called Milo for

advice. He told me to fan some wind at you, and if you didn't wake up,

we should take you to the hospital,” Eason said apologetically.

"I'm fine. I was just too anxious.” Cordelia frowned and looked away

uncomfortably.

Suddenly, a shadow cast over her.

She turned her gaze and saw Eason standing up abruptly, his hands on

both sides of her head, his deep eyes staring at her intently.

"Cordelia, is it worth it for Elijah? What does he have that's worth your

love?"

Cordelia stared at Eason in a daze. She felt the aura emitted from Elijah

was unfamiliar at this moment and domineering like never before.

"It's your personal matter, and I have no right to interfere. But I don't

want to see you making the same mistakes again, Cordelia,” Eason said

earnestly.

Cordelia avoided eye contact, afraid to look into Eason's eyes.

She curled up slowly, like a child devoid of a sense of security, silent.

At that moment, Imogen and Adam entered the room one after

another.

"Is Cordelia awake? Cordelia..."

From their perspective, their postures seemed somewhat ambiguous,

and Adam's voice gradually weakened.

Imogen approached quickly and pulled Eason back when she saw

Cordelia's appearance. She said, "Eason, did you do something to

Cordelia?"

Eason opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say anything,

Cordelia interrupted.

"No, Imogen. Eason was just trying to console me."

Imogen nodded and suddenly felt nauseous. She quickly ran out.

Adam hurriedly followed her out, and the guest room, which had just

been lively, returned to tranquility.

"I'm sorry, Cordelia. I was too hasty." Eason regained his composure

and apologized.

"Eason, you're right. Regardless of whether this was a misunderstanding

or not, he didn't care about me. I won't forgive him." Cordelia tightly

gripped her front shirt, and her heart suddenly ached.

This time, Cordelia was hurt so much.

Eason was at a loss. "Cordelia, are you okay? Should I call an

ambulance?"

"I'm fine, Eason.” Cordelia grabbed Eason's sleeve. "Go and close the

door. I want to be alone for a while."

"Can I stay with you? I'm worried that something might happen to you.

Don't worry, I won't say a word, just keep you company," Eason said

anxiously.

"Okay."

Cordelia knew that Eason knew how to diminish his own presence. If he

said he wouldn't disturb her, then he definitely wouldn't.

So, Eason closed the door and sat near the entrance, keeping his gaze

fixed on Cordelia.

And so it went on until midnight.

Adam ordered some late-night snacks, and after Imogen finished

eating, she couldn't hold on any longer and went to sleep.

Adam and Eason took turns staying by Cordelia’s side, accompanying

her as the sky slowly brightened.
