Chapter 264
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 264 You Are Drunk
Cordelia shrugged.
"It's up to you. You can whether accept the deal or reject it."
With that said, Cordelia had already stood up, ready to leave without
hesitation.
She didn't want to stay here for another second.
Elijah seemed to have expected that their meeting would go badly, so
he got up silently and followed Cordelia like a responsible bodyguard.
"Cordelia, wait!" Ben suddenly stood up and tottered to his feet.
Probably due to the dizziness caused by the alcohol, Ben's leg knocked
on the chair, making a loud noise.
In spite of that, he went straight to Cordelia.
âImogen thinks Elissa and I are having an affair, does she?"
Cordelia looked at Ben strangely, thinking that he was kidding.
Not only Imogen but everyone in the world thought the same.
Cordelia looked at Elijah. "What was he thinking? Did he want to deny
it?"
Elijah shook his head as if he didn't want to get involved.
"There's nothing happening between Elissa and me!" Ben said solemnly.
"Yuck!" Cordelia said in her mind, looking solemn.
"What Elissa did was not that bad. Am I right, Elijah?" Ben turned to
Elijah.
Elijah looked at Ben indifferently. "You are drunk.â
Cordelia also felt that Ben lost his mind now.
He wasn't much of a talker when he was sober.
"You know better than anyone else what Elissa means to me. And you
never think about how I feel. Is that what a friend does?" Ben smiled
miserably, in a state of madness.
Cordelia knew that the two of them would fight in the next moment if
Elijah was also drunk.
Fortunately, Elijah was sober and calm, still reasoning with this ignorant
drunk.
"You should ask Elissa the same question. Has she ever thought about
our friendship?â
Cordelia raised her eyebrows, secretly knowing Elijah better.
It turned out that Elijah wasn't completely incapable of communicating.
Perhaps he was simply impatient with Cordelia in the past.
"Since Elissa is so important to you, you guys be happy together. Please
stay away from Imogen!" Cordelia said sincerely.
"Imogen can't just come and go as she wants. Who does she think she
is?" Ben said angrily.
Cordelia looked at Elijah, and sneered, "See, you told me that he liked
Imogen. I think he is too self-confident. Now he's angry only because
Imogen left him, which made him feel bad about himself."
Elijah pulled her into his arms and coaxed, "Whatever you say, you are
right.â
Looking at the couple in front of him, Ben was even madder than
before.
"You two, get out!" Ben said furiously.
Cordelia replied, "You think I want to see you? I came here because of
Elijah."
With that said, Cordelia and Elijah were about to leave.
Ben's lips trembled with rage. He shouted at them, "Get out! You are
nothing to me, Imogen. I can have a better life without you!"
Followed the sound of wine bottles shattering.
Cordelia looked at Elijah suspiciously. "Is Ben crazy?"
"Almost," Elijah said indifferently.
Cordelia didn't quite understand Ben.
If Ben didn't want to lose Imogen, he should have been better to her.
"Perhaps he thought too highly of himself, thinking that Imogen would
never leave him," Cordelia snorted.
