Chapter 198
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 198 I Want to Sleep in Your Bed
Cordelia sighed and muttered to herself, "I didn't expect Eason to have
such a childish side.â
He actually went along with Imogen's antics.
So Cordelia had no choice but to reply to Imogen's message. [Thank
you so much for this, but please don't do it again...]
[Haha...] Imogen immediately responded. It was obvious that she
enjoyed stirring up trouble and didn't mind pouring oil on the flame.
Cordelia helplessly turned off her phone to avoid unnecessary
complications, claiming that she needed beauty sleep.
With the phone off, the world was tranquil.
She enjoyed a comfortable hot shower, feeling relaxed. Then she went
to bed.
It wasn't until the next morning when her phone automatically turned
on and the alarm rang, that she reluctantly opened her sleepy eyes.
There was a knock on the door from outside
It was early in the morning. Cordelia thought it was the landlady, so she
rushed to open the door with her hair disheveled.
But she froze as soon as she opened the door.
"You... Why are you here again?â
If she remembered it correctly, this guy had just returned to Beilve City
yesterday afternoon.
Elijah had an exhausted look on his face as he said, "Can I come in and
rest for a while?"
"Oh, come in then!" Cordelia stepped aside and let him in.
She didn't notice that from the moment Elijah stepped into her room,
and he looked around as if searching for something.
After he saw that there were no signs of any man having been in
Cordelia's room, his tense nerves relaxed.
While taking off his suit jacket, Elijah said, "I came here to explain in
person.â
Cordelia paused in her steps as she was heading towards the bathroom
and turned to him in confusion. "Explain what?"
"About Daiss," Elijah said earnestly.
Cordelia thought, "It was Daisy, not Daiss."
Cordelia understood but still couldn't help but wonder. "Couldn't you
have just called me? Did you have to fly over here in person?"
"You turned off your phone. I tried calling you for a long time but
couldn't reach you, so I decided to fly over and see you directly," Elijah
said, getting up and pacing in front of her.
Cordelia had just woken up without any makeup on, and her hair was
still messy and fluffy, making her look much younger, like a girl of
eighteen or nineteen
It reminded Elijah of how she looked when he flirted with her that
drunken night.
Although the memories were not so clear, the feeling at that time was
still fresh in his mind.
Seeing Elijah staring at her, Cordelia's slightly confused mind gradually
cleared up.
"Um, you should rest for a while. I'll go take a shower,â Cordelia said,
obviously wanting to escape.
Elijah quickly grabbed her arm
"Cordie, what are you panicking for? I won't do anything to you," he
said with a tired smile.
Looking at Elijahâs exhausted smile, Cordelia slapped away his hand
with a stern expression. "I think you won't dare!"
With that, she escaped into the bathroom
Elijah chuckled lightly, strolled back to the bedside, thought for a
moment, and didn't dare touch her bed. Instead, he sat on a nearby
chair and closed his eyes to rest.
When Cordelia came out of the bathroom, she thought Elijah had fallen
asleep, so she took a blanket and walked over.
"I don't know if you're tired from running around, but you look
exhausted,â Cordelia muttered as she covered him with the blanket.
As she looked up, she froze.
It turned out this man hadn't slept. He was looking at her with focused
eyes.
"You're not sleeping? Well, why don't you go back to the hotel to
sleep?â Cordelia suggested
Elijah gently held her hand and kissed it by his lips, saying, "I want to
sleep in your bed."
