Chapter 19
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 19 Cordelia Was Upset
Cordelia immediately smiled and pushed the door open. âElijah, I have
something to talk to you about.â
Elijahâs outfits today were not as casual as usual but very formal. His
suit jacket was hanging on a hanger beside him.
Now he was wearing a white shirt, and his hair was combed
meticulously, making him look less sloppy than usual and more
serious.
When he was at work, he looked charming.
Knowing Cordelia came, Elijah took a look at her coldly, then lowered
his head and said, âOkay. We'll talk about it until I finish my work.â
Then Cordelia waited until noon.
The assistant was sensible and delivered them lunch. Then Elijah put his
work aside, got up, and sat down on the sofa.
âElijah, today...â
âDon't talk about such an unpleasing topic during the meal.â Elijah
squinted at her and pushed her lunch toward her.
Cordelia pressed her lips together and had to eat obediently.
It wasn't until they finished eating that Elijah said, âAre you afraid I'll
change my mind?â
Cordelia was wiping the corner of her mouth. Hearing this, she paused
and then looked at him. âToday, I was late due to something. It was my
fault. I sincerely apologize to you.â
Elijah smiled.
He raised his hand and took the tissue from Cordeliaâs hand. Then he
gently pinched her chin with one hand and wiped the corners of her
mouth with the other hand.
âI remember I said that the one who doesnât show up will be called a
dog.â
Cordelia was suddenly embarrassed. Her face blushed instantly, and she
was ashamed and angry.
âBabe, I'll remind you once again. If you leave me, the mess in your
mother's family will have nothing to do with me anymore.â Elijahâs voice
was hoarse, and he reminded her in a low voice.
Cordeliaâs body trembled slightly, and she immediately dodged. back,
looking at him vigilantly. âAre you regretting it?â
Elijahâs eyes changed, and he had a mocking smile immediately.
âWhy are you so confident?â
Cordelia ignored his attitude and hurriedly said, âThen let's go to... in a
while.â
âI have a meeting in the afternoon.â Elijah got up and walked to stand
by the window. He seemed very irritable and lit up a cigarette.
Www
âI will accompany Eva to requ
Elijah said impatiently. âI will let you know when I have time.â
It was Eva again!
His work was important, and so was Eva. Divorce was such a trivial
matter that he cared little about!
Cordelia frowned.
âHow long will I have to wait? I don't want to wait any longer!â She
thought.
âOr, you can entrust someone to do it?â Cordelia suggested.
"I will consider it.â
Cordelia couldn't bear it anymore, got up, and left angrily.
She felt that no matter what she did, it was useless and that Elijah never
gave her the answer all the time.
Cordelia was very upset!
She took the presidents special elevator and went directly downstairs
to leave.
However, as soon as she walked out of the elevator, she bumped into
someone.
âImogen!â
Imogen was very surprised and raised her eyebrows. âYou came
lo
see your husband?â
âWell, I have something to talk to him about.â Cordeliaâs expression was
a little unnatural. Then she quickly changed the subject and asked,
âWhat about you? What are you here for?â
Imogen smiled and said, âI am also here to see your husband.â
Cordelia was taken aback for a moment.
