Chapter 164
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 164 You Should Call Me Mrs. Hansen
Cordelia took out her phone, looked at it, and found that Elijah had not
contacted her.
Her mood suddenly became a little worse.
Eva falling into a coma was indeed a significant event. Elijah was
anxious. She could understand.
However, he was so reckless, without even a confession, and left her
alone in Tarssa City, which made Cordelia suspicious.
Elijah still didn't really care about her.
Ben and Jacob drank some wine during the meal and talked more than
usual.
Cordelia noticed that, at this time, the way Ben looked at Imogen was
stained with a bit of color, bright and undisguised.
Imogen presented an awkward smile as if she foresaw the night she
was about to experience.
She couldn't escape from Ben, no matter what.
When Jacob stood up, Lamia immediately stood up as well. "Jacob,
where are you going? I'll go with you."
"No need, I just need to go to the restroom. I'll be back soon.â Jacob
smiled gently, then glanced at Cordelia from the corner of his eye.
She was silent all night, and she couldn't arouse her interest at all. This
made Jacob very frustrated.
Cordelia thought of it over and over again and finally couldn't help but
call Elijah.
Elijah answered the phone, sounding very restless.
"How is Eva?" Cordelia asked calmly.
"They have done the first aid, but she is still in a coma.â Elijah spoke
very quickly.
Cordelia said lightly, "Okay then, go on with whatever you were doing!"
"Yeah."
So, the call ended quickly without a word of explanation.
Cordelia looked up at the night with cold eyes.
She laughed for no reason. She was laughing at herself. "So stupid.â
"Who are you talking about?â Jacob's warm and pleasant voice came
from behind.
He approached with a bit of fragrance and a wine smell.
Cordelia looked back and asked, "Where's Lamia?"
"She is in the private room." Jacob said in an unhurried manner, "That
girl has liked to follow me since she was a child. Do you know why?"
Cordelia shook her head and said honestly, "I don't know."
"Because Elijah found her annoying and refused to get close to her. So,
to some degree, I am more a brother to her.â
Jacob smiled lightly, and his smile was charming when he mentioned
the things in his childhood.
Cordelia also smiled. "I envy you, who grew up together with friends.â
"You didn't have any friends? Cordelia?" Jacob asked curiously.
Cordelia frowned slightly. This address seemed a bit too intimate, so
she corrected him and said, "You should call me Mrs. Hansen!"
Jacob looked at her sideways and kept raising the corners of his lips.
"Actually, we were short-lived childhood playmates. I thought we could
be more intimate when we meet again.â
"Sorry, I don't like it." Cordeliaâs eyes remained flat. "It's a bit cold, I'm
going in."
After speaking, Cordelia turned and left.
Suddenly, Jacob's slightly raised voice came from behind her. "Cordelia,
Elijah is not suitable for you. Don't love him wholeheartedly. He is not
worthy."
Cordelia paused, then turned to look at Jacob.
In the dim light, Jacob stood with his hands behind his back, looking at
her seriously.
"Elijah is bearing too many responsibilities on his shoulders. He won't
love you. Anyone could take your place at any time.â
Cordelia was slightly dazed.
