chapter 30

Author's POV.

Vidhyut is looking at sleeping jeevika in his arms. After enjoying a lot at the beach they returned home late at night.  She was all excited. First she was finally able to see the beach then returning again in the helicopter was altogether a different experience for her.

When they were going she was very nervous but when they were returning she was excited and enjoyed the whole ride. But what Vidhyut enjoyed was that she was clinging to his side the whole ride.

He decided  to let her rest and went to get ready for office. Once he was ready he went to breakfast. He thought she was tired so she won't go to college today.  He was having breakfast when she came down and sat on his lap. He circles his arms around her waist.

" I thought you must be sleeping." He said while kissing her forehead.

" How will I sleep without cuddling you? I missed you as soon as you left the bed."

She replied looking at him and then kissed his throat. His hold tightened around her waist.

" Bachha stop. I don't think you like the outcome much."

" But I want a kiss." She said while pouting. And he coughed.

"  What "

" Oh ho,  you are reacting like we didn't kiss yesterday.  You have kissed me once, now I want more."

He chuckled at her.

" You are asking as if you want chocolate."

" Whatever, are you going to kiss me or should I ask someone else?"  She asked mischievously.

His expression changed from smile to anger. And he kissed her possessively. Also bite her tongue and lips hard. When she couldn't take it anymore he left her.

" Careful baby,  Next time if this pretty little mouth of yours utter something like this. Then the punishment will be severe."

He said and pecked her lips. She looked at him with pout and blush on her face.  When she didn't spoke anything he asked,

" Understood?"

She nodded her head but he pinched her waist and said,

"Aauch" she hissed and pouted

" Baby words, I need words."

" Yes" she spoke shyly and then hugged him while burying her face in his neck.

" So all bravery gone baccha."

" If you speak like a possessive lover then what should I do?" She said with pout.

" You can't do anything about that baby. I am the most possessive man when it comes to you."

" But why do you have to be possessive when I am all yours." She said with a broad smile and hugged him.

"Hmm. Are you going to college." He asked seriously.

" Can I skip? I only have one lecture. I will study at home, paaka."

" Fine, take a rest and then study.  But if you go somewhere inform me ok."

" Ok " she said.

He looked at her innocent face.

" What are you thinking?"

" Nothing, just  thinking what are you Meri Jaan. Look how innocent you are looking. But a few minutes back you minute back you were mischievous and before boldly asking for a kiss." He said while pulling her nose a little. To which she giggled.

The whole day was happy and blissful for both of them. Finally after their first fight everything is normal.

A boy from seventh standard was sitting on his bench and doing his homework all alone.  As he doesn't have any friends in his school.  The group of three boys come and snatch his book.

" What are you doing that is my book give me back"

" We won't give you. What will you do?"

" I will complain about you."

" Whom will you complain to? Your father. No no he died right. And if you don't have a mother then who will you complain to? Tell us. "

" I will…." He doesn't know what to answer. His father died one year back and his father never mentioned who his mother was. All his life everyone called him Son of whore, bitch and slut.

The other boys started laughing at him.

"You can't complain to anyone. You don't have anyone. And now forget this book also you son of bitch. "

" I am not a son if bitch. You are the son of bitch."

He said and one of the boys from the group punched him. He also punched him back.  Soon they started fighting with each other. When the class teacher came to know about this she took both of them to the principal.

The other boy Vikram with whom he had fought his mother came and shouted at him. Also said,

" I don't know the principal , ma'am. These kinds of students study in this school. Nobody knows who his mother is and still you give them admission. If I would have known I would have never sent my son to this school. Because of him my son is also spoilt."

" We will make sure to give him punishment. But we can't cancel his admission as Rathore has asked."

The lady took his son from there. Vidhyut stood there with tears in his eyes. Knowing that nobody will come for him. In this big world he is all alone.

" You Vidhyut will have to stand for the whole next month in class if you want to attend school. Otherwise don't come to school. "

" But ma'am he was the one who called me son of Bitch and also snatched my book first.  I swear I didn't do anything."

" Don't argue. You are here to study just because of Rathores. Otherwise  you are nothing but a burden."

" No, I am not a burden. " He wispear with tears in his eyes.

Jeevika woke up with constant whispering from the other side of bed. And saw Vidhyut in his sleep murmuring  " I am not a burden."  First she got confused listening to him.

But soon looking at her condition she realized that he is having a nightmare. His whole body was covered with sweat. There was a frown on his forehead and he is continuously saying that he is not a burden.

Her heart clinched at sight. She tried to wake him up.

" Vidhyut, wake up. You are here with me. Everything will be fine."

" No, I am not a burden."

She tried to wake him up. But no use his condition is getting worse. She just hugged him and spoke,

" No Vidhyut you are not burden. Please open your eyes and look at me. I am here for you. How can you be a burden? You are not a burden , please open your eyes."

She repeated words and hugged him tightly. And with another hand she switched on the lights.  Soon Vidhyut's nightmare broke as he found himself in a warm embrace. And slowly he opens your eyes. And listen what Jeevika is saying,

" Vidhyut you are not a burden baby. Please look at me. You are not a burden, please open your eyes."

As soon as she saw him open his eyes she hugged him tightly. And Vidhyut also realized that the nightmare whom he was finally able to overcome has come back today. She broke hug and cupped his face and asked,

" Are you ok?"

" Hmm. Sorry because of me your sleep got broken."

" It's ok. Are you fine now?"

" Hmm."

" Come let's sleep."

She said and pulled his hands. But he knows that he won't be able to sleep now.  Whenever he has this flashback after waking up. He was never able to sleep.

" No you sleep, I won't be able to sleep now."

" You will be able to. You always cuddle me. Today is my turn. I will cuddle you."

She said to him with puppy eyes. Knowing he won't be able to say no to that.

" Fine."

She slept on her back and opened her arms. He looked at him and asked,

" You want me to sleep on your chest." He asked with confused faces. He doesn't want her to feel uncomfortable.

" Haha, you always make me sleep like that only. Today is your turn. Come"

She said lovingly yet innocently.

" Jeevi, I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

" Ohho Vidhyut you can never make me uncomfortable. Now come."

She said, giving him a big smile so that he doesn't feel that she is doing it forcefully. Which she is not. She will love to do anything for him. He smiled at her and kept his head on her chest. And Circle his arms around her waist.

He thought he wouldn't be able to sleep so once she would sleep he would go to work and then go to the gym for boxing. To reveal his stress. She started roaming her hands in his haris and neck to  make him relax.

Soon his body got a little realex. When she realizes that she smiled but soon sees a frown on his face is still there. She didn't like this, she only liked his smiling face.  Soon she got an idea and smiled at this.

She took her hands to his waist and pinched it.

" Aauch. Why would you do that jeevi?"  He asked as she pinched him hard.

" This is your punishment."

" For what he asked, raising his eyebrows."

" Hoo you don't know what you did?" She asked, making a horrified face.

" No, I don't know, will you tell me."

" You didn't tell me you are 28. When we got married."

" And you remember it now."

He asked, narrowing his eyes. He knows she is doing it to distract him. But still decided to play along. As he doesn't want to ruin her efforts and he appreciated how much she cares for him.

" Haa toh, I saw your hair today with full attention. See you have white hair.  You are getting old Vidhyut. "

She said while suppressing her laugh. And he looked at her with an offended expression.

" You think I am getting old. Should I show you how young I am? "  Saying he tickled her.

" No no no please. "

" First say you are sorry and I am not old."

When she nodded in denial. He tickled her more. She laughed more. When she couldn't take it she spoke.

" accha ok I am sorry. And you are not old."

" Hmm better."

Saying he again hugged her.  And this time kept his head on her neck. She can feel him smiling. And she smiled also thinking that finally she is able to make him smile.

Soon sleep took over him. In all this year this was the first time he was able to sleep after his nightmare. Once she knows he is sleeping she kissed his forehead and said,

" I am here with you always and forever. I know there is something you are not telling me. And this nightmare is also because.  I don't know who made you feel like a burden. But I promise I will remove this thought from your mind. You are not a burden,  Vidhyut. You are the lifeline of this jeevika."

So finally I am here with a new chapter.
