chapter 18

Author's POV.

Finally after a lot of struggle Jeevika reached Vidhyut's office. She looked at her watch and prayed to God to help her further. As it was already 12. She took a breath. All she was thinking was to meet Vidhyut as soon as possible.  It takes a lot more time to reach than she intended. At first she couldn't find any riksha and then when she finally got one there was a trafic.

Thinking about all this, she entered the office. Of course it's the office of the Vidhyut Sinha so it screened for wealth. She looked around and there was a reception and waiting area on this floor. With one general department there.

The atmosphere was very quiet. Everyone is engrossed in the work. She took slow steps towards the reception and slowly asked,

" Excuse me"

Receptionist looked at her and gave polite smile,

" Yes Ma'am"

" Can I meet Vidhyut?"

" Sure in which department he works?"  Receptionist asked as she thought that she must be talking about some employee whose name is Vidhyut.

" No No you are mistaken here. I am not talking about some employees. I am talking about Vidhyut shina. Your boss."

" Ohh ok Do you have an appointment?"

" Umm. No."

" Sorry then I can't let you meet him."

" Look, I know there is a protocol everyone has to follow. I also know that he is busy. But please let me meet him. I won't take much time. Only five minutes." She pleaded.

Receptionist melted. She looked at Jeevika from top to bottom. She doesn't look like some cheap girl. Also her pleading eyes told her that she was not wrong so she decided to help.

" Look Maam. I can not help you much in this matter. As you don't have an appointment. But I can take you to the manager 's office. If he says yes you can meet Vidhyut sir. "

" Ok " Jeevika agreed, not knowing in which situation she was leading. Because for now the only thing that matters for her is to meet Vidhyut. As he can only Singh the form and that is the only way she can get admission. And for now nothing is more important than her admission.

They reached the 30th floor. Which has a meeting room for staff meetings. Office of Manager and Finance department.  With permission, the receptionist took her to the Manager's cabin.  After leaving her there she went back to her work.

Jeevika who was tense and in a hurry to meet Vidhyut didn't notice something and that is lust in Manager's eyes.  He asked her to take a seat.

" No it's ok.  I just want to meet Vidhyut. Please can you take me there."

" Look until I don't know who you are and what your moto is to meet sir. I can't take you there. "

" Ohh ok. So I don't need a seat. I will tell you like this only. I am here to take his  sign on my college form and I am his wife."

Manager looked at her and stood up from his place. And comes to her and places his hands on her shoulder.  She felt bad and was wired with it so she took two straps back. And said,

" What are you doing? Stay away. And please take me to Vidhyut."

" Who are you ? And what is the benefit I will get if I will take you there?"

" What benefit are you talking about? You are the manager here and it's your duty to help someone who comes here and I think that is the thing you are being paid. And about me. I am his wife. But the problem is that I didn't know where his cabin was, otherwise  I would have not come here."

He started laughing and said,

" Do you think I really believe you? Everyone knows that Vidhyut sir is single. So now tell me your real agenda to come here. I know girls like you. You must be here to seduce him. But let me tell you, you can't trap him. But you know I also earn well. I will keep you happy."

She felt disgusted with his words. And anger boiled inside her. So she said,

" What do you think of yourself haa. You know what I will tell Vidhyut about all this and will see what he will do with you."

Saying she started moving out of the cabin. But he caught the hold of her hand. And that was the last string for her. She slapped him. He got angry and tightened his hold. She was wiggling but it didn't work. He tried to pull her near. But jeevika saw some show praise there and broke it. And scratched his hand with it. He felt pain and because of it his hold losses and she ran out of the cabin. But by now tears started flowing from her eyes.

Of course she is strong but no one deserves to be in this situation. She came out in just a few minutes. But these are the worst times of her life. She was lucky that she understood his intention earlier and came out from there. But before she can move from their manager came out running behind him and started shouting,

" Security, Security"

The security from the floor came running to him. Jeevika stopped listening to his voice. Not only that but she doesn't know where to go. And how to find her Vidhyut. Looking at them she realizes that nobody here will help her. And she can't trust them. Even this is her husband's office.

" Catch that girl. She is here to steal information about our project.  Look, she even injured me."

Listening to him, everyone on the floor gathered there. They started wispering about what was happening.  She showed broke Vas pease to security and said,

" If you come near me. I will stab this. I am not lying. I have done that with him. I will do that with you also."

Her mind is completely blank by now. She doesn't know what to do. The situation is only getting worse. Security didn't mind her threat and came near her so she stabbed one of them.  And shought.

" I am telling you not to come near me. He is the one who tries to force himself on me. I am telling you I will stab anyone who will come near me."

Nobody from the floor came to help her or even said anything. They are just looking at a scene folding in front of them. As they thought that his manager must be right. Because stealing information is not new in this company. Rivals do that in order to get projects. So they didn't interfere.  One of the guards came forward and held her hand.

Manager came to her and slapped her. She started crying saying she didn't do anything.  In her life she is never treated like this. Her mother never even raised her voice on her  and Vidhyut from the day they got married he treated her like a princess. She is facing this manhandling for the first time in her life. And people  looking at it without even reacting is just adding to her humiliation. Manager got the hold of hairs and asked,

" Tell me why are you here? Tell me what is your agenda"

"I didn't have any agenda. Please leave me."

Vidhyut who was inside the staff meeting room with Vihaan and people from finance, marketing and project management department came out with everyone listening to this disturbing voice from outside and said,

" What the fuck is happening here?"

Manager turns towards him but still his hold on her hair is tight. As soon as he turn both Jeevika and Vidhyut can see the person in front of them. She slowly wispear,

" Vidhyut"

And for Vidhyut the world stops there looking at his love in this situation. Where two men are holding her hands and one man is her hair. He fist his hand and shouted from top of his lungs,

" Leave her."

Everyone who was present there was frightened listening to his cold angry voice.  When three of them didn't leave her he shouted again ,

" I said Leave her fucking now."

Everyone present there gulped and left her. The anger was visible in his eyes and voice. Because of anger he fist his hand and because of that  vein of his neck can clearly see.

As soon as they left her she ran and hugged her Vidhyut. Her safest place in the world and started crying. Her crying can listen through the floor. That is not helping the situation at all  because it's only adding fuel to his anger.

He took a breath to calm his anger as for now consoling his love is more important than anything. He hugged her back and slowly spoke,

" Baccha please stop crying and tell your Vidhyut what happened? How did you come here and that too in this situation?"

She just cried harder that didn't suit him well but for now he just wanted to know what happened here. When she didn't reply he carried her in bridal style and settled her in the sofa that was placed there for waiting.

He set there beside her and said,

" Bachha please say.."

His soft voice. The way he is taking care of shocked everyone present here. It's not like he is a cold, ruthless boss. But still this softness is new for them. Not only that but for the first time he is letting some girl touch him. Not only that but he is consoling Her. Everyone present now is curious to know the relationship this girl shares with their boss.

He looked at Vihaan who nodded at him and went to grab the glass of water for her. He gave it to Vidhyut who took it and forcefully broke a hug and put glass near her lips who was drunk in one go.

" Now tell me Bachha. I am here only nothing will happen to you "

She looked at him with tears in her eyes. And started telling him what that manager did with him. As soon as she completed what he did.  Vidhyut left jeevika and went to that manager and started punching him.

" How dare you touch her? How dare you lay your eyes on my wife? I will pluck them out. "

He was beating him mercilessly and Jeevika was crying silently on the sofa. Everyone else who listens to this is way too shocked to react.  Vihaan knows he needs to take action.  He went to Vidhyut and said,

" Sir please leave him"

" Vihaan leave my hand I will kill this bastard today here only. How dare he lay his eyes on my wife."

" Sir please do whatever you want to do later. Now mam needs you. She is crying sir."

As soon as he Heard Jeevika was crying his hands stopped in Air. Everyone looked shocked at how one sentence can make him stop whatever he is doing. He went back to jeevika and hugged her. She buried her face in his chest.

" Vihaan call, Raghav. Tell him he has a parcel to pick up from  here."

Vihaan nodded at him. Everyone gulped at this sentence. Which clearly means the death sense of this manager.  Everyone knows that Raghav is Second hand of Abhimaan Singh Rathore Who is mafia kind and friend of their boss. Also they know that his boss helps him whenever he needs. But never directly involved in the Mafia. But still hold the power in that world which nobody can cross.  He looked every employee present there,

" We will have a good Chet but before that my wife needs me. Now that everyone knows that she is my wife there will be any problem for her from next time."

He looked at Mrs. Prena, who is a lady in her mid Forties and head in the project department. And said,

" Please follow me. She will need someone. Also if you want you can take someone with you. In case you or she needs help."

Mrs. Prena nodded and asked Vidhi to follow her. Priti who was with vidhi was dumbfull with the situation. It came as a shock to her to know that her boss is married. Not only that, how possessive he is for his wife. That he almost killed that person not only everyone knows that he called Raghav which clearly indicates his death. She also followed without asking which didn't go unnoticed by Vidhyut but looking at the situation he didn't react.

So , how was the chapter?
