chapter 7

Vidhyut's POV.

After receiving a call from Jeevi I was so tense. She was all fine when I left but when she called me she was a crying mess. I thought no actually I have decided that I won't meet her or talk to her so I can stop myself from getting attracted towards her.

But looking at her state made me realize that what I feel for her is not just attraction but love. Looking at her crying face made me feel like dying.  I wanted to see happy and cheerful just like I met her the first two times. And I promise her that I will protect her and I will not let anyone marry her. Not without her will.

When Radha Aunty asked me if I wanted to marry her only I knew how I refused her. But I know she is not someone who makes decisions in haste. I just need to find out what made her make a decision like this.

After returning home I called one of my investigators to collect all the information about them. I never have collected information about them like this but it is needed now so I have to do this.

Once I was done talking to him I lay on my bed but of course I wasn't able to sleep Every time when I close my eyes I can only see one face and that is of my little Patakha.

" Don't worry little Patakha, I will make everything correct. So don't worry. I won't let you sacrifice your dreams."

Author's POV.

Next day when Jeevika woke up she found herself in bed. First she was confused about how she got here. Then realized that Vidhyut must have dropped her here. Smile automatically made its way to her face.  After getting fresh she decided to call Vidhyut,

" Hi Vidhyut"

" Hey Baccha how are you feeling now"

When he called her baccha she smiled or maybe blushed without even realizing.

" I am fine. Actually I called you to say thank you. Thank you "

" Hmm but don't you think you should say thank you in some special way? You know I came at night. Stayed till you fell asleep and also carried you till your room."

Jeevika got confused when he asked her to say thank you in special way.

" Vidhyut I don't know any special way. I just know how to say thank you. But still if you want I can do something if you want "

" Fine, I don't want anything now. But I will surely ask when I will need it."

" Ok fine ; but Vidhyut what about maa she won't listen to me."

" Jeevi baccha, trust me. Nothing will happen against your will and I promise nobody will be able to stop your studies."

" Pakka "

" Pakka now go have breakfast and don't take tension "

After talking to him she went out of her room to Only find her mom to cook. She was upset with her maa. As she doesn't know why she is doing this. But still she went to her and hugged her.

" Good morning maa"

" Good morning beta" saying her mother kissed her cheeks.  She looked at her daughter lovingly.

" Let's have breakfast then we need to talk jeevi"

" Maa let's have breakfast but we don't need to talk as I have already told you that I don't want to marry"

Radha didn't argue further. They have their breakfast silently. Once they done with breakfast she spoke,

" Jeevi what I am telling you please try to understand"

" Maa you try.."

" Jeevika listen to me. Have I ever stopped you from doing anything? I have always listened to you to fulfill all your demands and can't for once you listen to me. And do what I want you do"

" Maa, I agree that what you are saying is true. And I can do anything you want but not marriage."

" Jeevika you are not understanding "

" Maa tell me the truth , why did you suddenly want me to get married?"

" Jeevika I am not answerable to you. So do as I am saying. And about you I don't have more money to waste on you so stop being childish and do as I say " Radha said getting angry. So Jeevika agrees by listening to her harsh words.

" You know Maa you are bad, very bad and also very selfish. You want me to get married for money then Let me tell you I will never agree to this. And if you force me I will run away. First time I am regretting why I don't have papa. If he was here he would have never forced me."

She shouted at her mother and ran into her room. Once she was out of sight Radha broke into tears.

" I know beta, I am selfish. But what can I do? I want to see my daughter happy and safe. Even when I won't be in this world. I know if your father would have been here this day would have never come. But what can I do beta? I don't have an option. I want to see you in safe hands. Please try to understand your mother. "

Because of crying and not having enough rest she started feeling dizzy. She started going towards her room but before that only she lost consciousness.

Jeevika, who was in her room, didn't realize this. She was also in grief that her mother was not understanding her. She also kept crying. But soon realized that in anger, what she said to her mother and ran out of her room.  When she came out of her room she saw her unconscious mother. She ran to her and sat on her knees.

" Maa what happened? Pls open your eyes and see that your jeevika is here. Maa, please tell me what happened to you?"

She taped her cheeks but still didn't get replies. Because of her voice her neighbors come. They asked jeevika,

" What happened beta ?"

" I don't know if Aunty look maa is not opening her eyes, not even answering me. Please tell her to open her eyes."

They understand what jeevika can't handle in her sadness and help jeevika to shift Radha in hospital. One of her neighbors asked whom he should call here,  the only name that came out of her mouth was Vidhyut. So he took the number from her and informed Vidhyut about the matter.

When Vidhyut came to know about it he ran to the hospital with his assistant Vihaan. By looking at jeevika his heart pained. Only one day before she was all happy and now crying from last night.

" Bachha"

He called jeevika softly. As soon as she saw him she hugged him. And started crying more. He was standing and she was sitting on a chair so she was hugging his waist. He started running his hands in her hair softly to make her calm. Also signals his assistant to come. When he came he asked him to manage hospital formalities and doctors. Also tell him to postpone all his meetings for a week.

Vihaan was shocked. He knows how sincere his boss is about his work. He never posted any meeting for anyone. Another thing that shocked him was the girl. Everyone knows that he always stays away from. Many daughters of his business partner approach him also though girls from office also want to approach him but because of his nature of staying away nobody dares to do that. But here for some random girl he postponed all his meetings and stayed with her letting her hug him. He is so confused about what is happening and who the girl is. But still nodded at him.

Once he left Vidhyut set beside Jeevika and asked,

" How did this all happen ?"

Jeevika explains to him. He sighs at this.

" Didn't I tell you I will talk to her and will handle this matter. Then why did you say all those things.?"

Jeevika looked at him with tearing eyes. But she wipe her tears and said,

" Vidhyut we won't talk about it with maa ok. She wants me to marry then I will marry anyone whom she wants but please tell her to wake up. I will do everything she will tell me to do. I won't even question her but please tell her to wake pls."

She ended up crying again. This time Vidhyut hugged her. And said,

" Let's wait for the doctor , ok. "

After some time the Doctor came. Both of them stood-up and went to her.

" How is she?"  Vidhyut asked while Jeevika clutched his hands tight hoping for good answer.

" Who are you ?"  Doctor asked him.

" You can consider me as her son, she is just like my mother. "

Doctor already knows Radha so she knows Jeevika is her daughter. And when she saw how he was consoling her and how she was tightening her hold on him. She realized that though he is not her son but still very close also she knows jeevika is too young to handle everything on her own so she decided to let him know. Though he was not blood related to her.

" Come to my cabin"

They both went to her cabin. He refused her to come but Jeevika being Jeevika decided to go. Once they took their seats, the doctor started explaining.

" Look Ms. Radha already knows about it. I have told her. Actually from the last few months she was feeling shortness in breath. When we did the test we found her heart was weak. So there was a chance for heart failure. I asked her to do the operation but she refused. Said that she has very little money and that is also for her daughter who is studying. She was taking medicine but still there was no recovery. Last time I told her that her heart is too weak. "

" Doctor, please don't think much. I will pay for the operation. But please do it fast. " Vidhyut said

" Sorry Mr. It's very late. And she already knew that if it will be we can't do anything. Still she didn't agree. And took risks. Also she went unconscious which is dangerous for her. Sorry now I can't help. She doesn't have much time. We can just pray to God. "

" How much time does she have?"  Vidhyut asked, gathering all his courage.

" We can't say anything. Maybe one hour, one day or one year. Just make sure she doesn't take much tension and stay happy."

Vidhyut nodded at her. Jeevika is numb to react to anything. He took her forcefully out of the doctor's cabin.
