chapter 6

Author's POV.

After realizing that her mother is serious about her marriage. She couldn't control her emotions and started crying. At first she thought her mother was joking. But after knowing she is serious she is very emotional.

She knows how much her mother loves her. So this sudden decision of marriage is very shocking. After crying, she decided to call Vidhyut. If Mahima would have been in town she must have called her. But Mahima is not in town. She went to Delhi with her parents.

Mahima shifted here when Jeevika's mother transferred here. They were best friends. So her parents didn't deny it. As they used to stay out of town most of the time for business. So Mahima came here to her masi's place. But because there is vacation now she went to them.  So having no option Jeevika called Vidhyut. As she doesn't have any other friends.

On the other hand Vidhyut was fighting the beatle between his heart and mind. He knows that he is attracted to her. But because her young age stopped him from thinking anything like that. He knows he can't have her. Even if he wants that is not possible. So he decided to keep himself away from her and her thoughts.

After deciding that he will keep distance from her. And keep himself busy so that he won't get time to think about her. So he buried himself in work. When he was working his phone rang. He looked at phone. Looking at caller id he was confused,

" Why is she calling me? Uhhh I just have decided that I will keep my distance and now this call. Ignore Vidhyut "

Thinking to himself he ignored the call. But his phone rang again.

" Why is she calling me? Doesn't she understand that if someone is not picking a call means he is busy or doesn't want to talk." His mind said

" But Vidhyut, what if she is in trouble and calling you for help. At Least talk once. You can't ignore her." His heart said.

His phone is continuously ringing. Which makes him distressed. All his plans went into vain and he picked a call. But received a shock as he Heard her crying. That makes him panic.

" Jeevi what happened? Why are you crying?"

" Vo… Vidhyut….. vo…"

She was not able to answer that much because she was crying. That made him more panicked. He didn't even bother to change and pick his car keys and decided to go to her house. While still talking on call.

" Jeevi, tell me? Is everything ok?"

" If … everything …was…ok… why…will…I …cry…and…call…you..now."

He doesn't know what to do with his little Patakha. Even when she is crying and Hiccups she can't keep her secrasm in control.

" Ok, my bad. Will you please tell me what happened?"

" Vo…maa"

" What happened to Radha Aunty?"

" I.. don't…know..she… is … behaving …. Widely…also when ….I …. didn't…listen…her she…locked..herself in …room."

Her hiccups are not stopping. Which shows how much she cried. And knowing this made him more panicked.

" Jeevi, do one thing. Drink water. And then open the door for me. I will be there in five minutes "

She did as he said. Her hiccups are now not there but she can't stop herself from crying. As soon as Vidhyut came she ran to him and hugged him. This made Vidyut shocked. Also because of the sudden hug he lost his balance but held her tightly and also took two steps back to prevent both of them from falling.

This Hug was normal for her. But for Vidhyut it creates havoc inside him. But he Stopped himself from thinking anything else and fixed on her. Who is crying his arm. He tries to break a hug only for her to tighten her hold. Knowing she won't break her hug like this. He stayed like that.

" Jeevi look, I am here.  Tell me what happened, why are you crying?"

But she didn't reply. He sighs and says, "Let's sit down first and talk". Getting no reply from her. He facepalm himself. All this gives him a thought he doesn't want to think about.

" Fine, don't break a hug. Don't do anything. But jump a little so that I can carry you till the sofa and we can sit. We can't talk like this."

She jumped a little. And put both the legs around his waist so he could  pick her easily and settle himself on the sofa. With her on his lap.

She is still hugging her. Having no option he broke hug forcefully and looked at her. Her eyes are puffy because of crying. Her cheeks have dry tears. Nose is red. Hairs are messy.

He combed her hair with his hand which blocked his view of her face. Tressed the dry tear marks on her cheeks. And decided something he would have never decided if he would have not seen her in this state.

All this while she is looking at him innocently. She doesn't know what to feel. She never in her dreams thought that she would behave like this. But just looking at his face she knew that she was safe if he was with her. So she runs to him. And it was true she felt that he had the ability to take her pain.

"Please Baccha tell me". He asked softly.

" I don't want to get married. '' Her sentence made him confused and shocked. And his hold on her was titen.

"Hhh"

Realizing she didn't tell her everything she started describing what happened after he left. How Radha asked her to get married. And how  her behavior was.

" But why did she tell you this? And why does she want you to get married?"

" I don't know. She knows that I want to study further. I don't even know anything about marriage. But still she told me like this"

He can clearly see tears in her eyes. And it also hurts how her mother isn't talking to her. He hugged her closely.

" Shh. It's ok. I am here Naa. I will talk to aunty. And about your studies I won't let anyone stop your studies. I promise."

"Pakka "

" Pakka. Now tell me have you eaten something "

To which she nodded. They talked little. He also promised her that he will come tomorrow and will talk to her mother. And won't let her marriage happen without her will.

She was not ready to leave. She is clingy but he is liking it. This shows how much trust she has in him. After consoling her a lot. He made her sleep. He sat beside her until she slept.  Looking at her sleeping from he spoke,

" I have decided that I will ignore you. But this state made me realize that I can't even want to. I was thinking that I was attracted to you. But no this what I feel when I saw you crying was equal to death. And we can only feel this if we love someone. So what I feel for you is not attraction but love.  And I promise my love I won't let any harm touch you. I won't let anyone sacrifice your dreams. Don't worry baccha "

He kissed her forehead. And come out. All his actions were watched by someone. Looking at the person he doesn't know what to feel or say.

Radha who listened to everything doesn't know how to react. But she is happy. That someone is there apart from her who cares about her daughter. Who can make her happy.

" What are you doing here?" She asked.

" Jeevi called me. She was crying so I came here."

" Hmmm"

" Why are you doing this to her?"

He wants an answer. He thought that he would talk in the morning but now that he came face to face he needs to know the reason.

" Let's talk in Garden"

They went to the Garden. After taking seats Radha started speaking,

" I don't have money."

" She is a kid, aunty. I am not. I know that someone is telling the truth or lying. And your face clearly says that you are lying."

" Let's come to a point. I have seen everything from the moment you came here. Also listen to what you said. So tell me, do you want to get married to her?"

" Are you serious? She is a kid. She has a lot to achieve. And you want her to get married. "

" She is not a kid, she is 18. And I think you always wanted me to be your mother. By marrying her. Your wish can be fulfilled. And also you will get her. Which you want now. And she is getting married so get this chance "

" Hahh do you really think I will get you as my mother on the cost of her happiness. No never. About her marriage. Nore I am getting married to her. Nore I will let anyone marry her. she will leave her dream life."

Saying he left from. The only emotion he is feeling now is anger. He will not let anyone harm her dreams. At any cost. He will protect her. Even if needed from her mother.

Radha just smiled at his back. Finally she got someone who will take care of her daughter just like she did. The only thought in her mind is now how she will convince both of them for this marriage.
