885. Anti-Healer
Nexus Awakened (An Isekai LitRPG Gender Bender Story)
885. Anti-Healer
A perfect, naked replica of Frost formed from the spiral of blood she had spilled. Its inner body formed first. Nothing about it was remotely human aside from its outer flesh. Writhing tentacles and rows of teeth crossed paths where bones and organs should have been. A single combined vertical mouth ran from across its body and to its extremities, meaning it could open every inch of its body to reveal its inner mouth.
âEat?â It asked. âDevour? Consume?â
Each word it spoke caused it to shove its face closer to Frostâs, its eyes widening until one sole eye encompassed its entire face.
The only difference was that its eyes were red, much like Mimicryâs. Although, this one did not have a mind of its own. It was a mass of primitive instincts governed only by the commands of the Amalgam.
It could not differentiate good from evil. All it knew was how to eat. If anything, it was the closest thing to what Mimicry was before she gained sapience. But like her, it showcased absolute loyalty to Frost.
âDevour those falling rocks.â
Frostâs command was its law. It did not even put on clothes, because Frost had not ordered it. A simple mental reminder caused shards of bones to stab out of their back, eventually transforming into black feathers like Frostâs Coat of Prejudice.
It ate them with its body, for its body was its mouth. No matter the size of the rock that fell, the apparition devoured it before it could fall to the ground.
Itâs an expressionless creature. Mimicryâs not different in that regard, but she at least has the capacity to improve. Of all the Skills Iâve gained, this is the one Iâm most afraid of. It carries a piece of my Will, but itâs constantly overridden by hunger.
âDonât you think you would have looked like her if you were driven by hunger?â
I hope not. Itâs been a long time since Iâve had to suffer from my irrational hunger.
The Frost that consumed. That is what she saw the Mimic of Amalgamation as.
âThankfully, I donât have to keep you out all the time.â
It folded into itself before disappearing without a trace. Now that there was nothing to stop the falling rocks, Frost moved to her next Skill.
(O) Voracity [0/10]
A tail appeared behind her back. It was the Tale of the Black Dove. However, the tip expanded and split into 4 petals, revealing rows of curved teeth. She used it to devour the falling boulders with ease.
âI had trouble securing my jaw around Iscarioâs arm. [Voracity] will make it easier. Iâm sure in time Iâll be able to use my entire body to consume my targets, rather than just relying on my maw and my fists.â
Her last Skill for Devourer was a Passive Skill.
(O) PASSIVE: Predatory Instincts
It was a tracking Passive Skill; in case she needed to hunt down a slippery prey. There were bound to be more Bloody Herrings in the sea. And if she couldnât catch them, then she had someone much faster to take her place.
The avalanche blocked the skies. It fell in slow motion. Frost had the Skills to erase it before it could touch the ground, but it was still useful to test her other skills.
Starlight Barrier. Her second Defense Profession focused on defense unlike her admittedly underused Counter Offensive. It came with only 2 Active Skills and 1 Passive Skill.
(D) Light Barrier [0/10]
(D) PASSIVE: Greater Barrier Reinforcement
A magical circle appeared 10 meters above her suddenly. The intricate symbols that decorated it were a splitting image of what she saw in Gerinaâs own magical circles. Unfortunately, this Skill was not based on Light, but on light as an attribute of magic much like âdarknessâ, âelementalâ, etc.
Still, it managed to temporarily block the avalanche before utterly succumbing to it.
Next, she bolstered her DEF with [Protection Ward].
(D) Protection Ward [0/10]
Her body lit up with a flash of light for a brief moment. The symbol of a five-armed star appeared in the center of her chest to indicate that she was under its protection. Then, she used an Amplified version of [Inferno] to melt the avalanche before it could touch the ground.

It was absurd.
The ice within a 1.5km radius in all directions turned to steam with an explosive force. Snap had already left the vicinity with Jury and Nav. The eruption caused a tremendous amount of steam to enter the atmosphere as the barren rock of the mountain range was exposed.
Such was Frostâs power. Conflagrator had gained many levels during her time in Grandis unbeknownst to her, especially during her fight against Iscario. She had been honing her skills for the last 3 months but had not yet reached a new Skill Mastery.
âNowhere near a million damage, but the range is impressive. No burn marks on me. Not that Iâm surprised. I just wanted to preserve some burn wounds for my Support Skills.â
Sanguine Genesis had default Skills supplied in the Support Profession. Not only that, but it was closely related with the Harmacist Profession.
This was the Profession that the Sanguine Doves possessed. It worked as both a healing and an anti-Healing profession. Black Doves relied on weapons to deal with their enemies, but they were still Healers deep down.
The Sanguine Doves however, had torturous Skills and blood-manipulation abilities embedded into them.

(S) Blasphemous Heal
(S) PASSIVE: Malignant Overheal (NEW)
Harmacist was one of Navâs puns in the past. It was a hilarious spin on how Frost could fight despite being a Healer. But there was nothing to laugh at here. These Skills were equally as incredible as they were horrifying.
Aside from [Blasphemous Heal]. It had the capabilities to heal Carpalis, which she planned to do during her next visit when summoned Kingdoms arrive in Atlas.
âMayâ. Iâm afraid of that word. Think thereâs a chance for the healing to get botched?
âDemon biology still does not make much sense to us.â
