The gray world

Gray wakes up in the room where he fainted. He looks at the clock and realizes that he has been asleep for three hours. His brother is not in the room, but Gray remembers that his brother is at kindergarten. "My father should have returned by now," says Gray, and he goes down to the living room. There, he finds his father sitting on the couch, deep in thought. Gray's father, named Hugh, works at an optician.His hair is thick, with pronounced gray streaks, cold eyes, slim build, he has long fingers, refined, but not weak.He wears dark, muted clothes: charcoal-gray sweaters, faded dark jeans, simple shirts in earthy tones.
