Hiccup Haddock X Male reader

Males x Male reader

Tittle: Stary kiss

The stars spread like scattered diamonds across the velvet sky, their light reflecting softly on the calm surface of the cove. The air was cool but not biting, carrying the scent of the sea and the faint tang of grass. You lay back on the blanket Hiccup had spread out, his arm resting lightly around your shoulders. It was one of those rare, quiet nights in Berk where the world seemed to slow down, giving you both a moment to just exist.

Toothless lay a few feet away, his massive form curled up in the grass, his yellow eyes occasionally flicking open to survey his surroundings. The dragon’s presence was comforting, like a silent guardian watching over you both. Hiccup turned his head slightly to look at you, his green eyes catching the faint starlight.

“You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the stars this bright before,” he said softly, his voice carrying a note of wonder.

You smiled, tilting your head to look at him. “Maybe you just needed the right company to notice them.”

Hiccup chuckled, his fingers brushing against yours where they rested on the blanket. “Maybe. Or maybe you just have a way of making everything feel… better. Simpler.”

His words carried a vulnerability that made your chest tighten. Hiccup wasn’t one to openly share his feelings often, but when he did, it always felt genuine, like a rare gift. You reached up, your fingers lightly tracing the line of his jaw. “You’re the one who makes everything better, Hiccup. Not just for me, but for everyone. You’ve got this way of seeing the world that makes people want to be better.”

He smiled, a little shyly, but didn’t look away. Instead, he leaned in closer, his breath mingling with yours as his gaze searched your face. “I’ve always felt like I’m running to catch up, trying to figure out where I belong. But when I’m with you… it’s like I finally know.”

Your heart swelled at his words, and you couldn’t help but close the remaining distance between you. His lips were warm and soft against yours, the kiss tender and slow, carrying all the unspoken emotions you both held. His hand slid to the back of your neck, anchoring you in the moment as the world around you seemed to fade away.

When you finally broke apart, his forehead rested against yours, a small, content smile playing on his lips. “I could stay here forever,” he murmured, his voice barely louder than a whisper.

“Me too,” you replied, your fingers curling around his. “Under the stars, just like this.”

Toothless let out a low, rumbling purr, as if in agreement, his tail flicking lazily against the ground. Hiccup laughed softly, his other hand brushing a strand of hair from your face. “I think we’ve got his blessing.”

You leaned into his touch, your eyes drifting back up to the endless expanse of stars above. In that moment, wrapped in Hiccup’s arms with the night sky as your witness, you felt an overwhelming sense of peace. It was a night you knew you’d remember forever, a quiet reminder that sometimes, the simplest moments were the most extraordinary.

The two of you lay there in comfortable silence for a while, the only sounds being the gentle lapping of the waves and Toothless’s soft breathing. Hiccup’s hand traced absentminded patterns on your arm, his touch light but grounding. “Do you ever think about what’s out there?” he asked suddenly, his voice thoughtful.

“Out there?” you echoed, turning your head to meet his gaze.

“Beyond the horizon. Beyond the stars. Sometimes I wonder if there’s more to the world than we know. More dragons, more islands, more… everything.”

You smiled at his curiosity, at the way his mind was always reaching for something greater. “I think there is. And if there is, I’m sure you’ll find it.”

He laughed softly, the sound warm and full of affection. “Not without you. I couldn’t do any of it without you.”

“You could. But you don’t have to,” you replied, your voice steady. “I’ll be with you, no matter where you go.”

Hiccup’s eyes softened, and he leaned in to press another kiss to your lips, this one a little firmer, a little more certain. When he pulled back, he rested his head against yours, his breath warm on your skin. “You mean everything to me,” he whispered, his words carrying the weight of truth.

You didn’t need to say anything in response; the way you tightened your hold on him, the way your eyes shone with unshed tears, said it all. The two of you stayed like that, wrapped in each other’s arms, as the night deepened and the stars seemed to shine just a little brighter.

Eventually, Hiccup shifted, pulling the edge of the blanket up to cover you both. “It’s getting colder,” he murmured, his hand rubbing small circles on your back. “Let’s stay like this for a while longer.”

“I’d like that,” you said, resting your head on his chest and listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. It was a sound that grounded you, that reminded you of all the reasons you’d fallen for him in the first place.

Toothless let out a contented sigh, his tail curling around the two of you as if to shield you from the rest of the world. Hiccup chuckled softly, his fingers brushing through your hair. “Looks like he’s not letting us go anywhere tonight.”

“Good,” you said with a smile, your eyes already growing heavy with sleep. “I don’t want to be anywhere else.”

And as your eyelids fluttered closed, the last thing you felt was Hiccup pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead, his whispered “I love you” carrying you into the most peaceful sleep you’d ever known.
