Sana Short Imagines

It had been weeks since the party, and Y/N noticed that Sana was acting distant. At first, she thought Sana might just be busy, but it felt like more than that. Whenever Y/N tried to spend time with her, Sana seemed distracted or kept mentioning plans with friends, especially with the guy sheâd been talking to at the party. Y/N finally decided to ask Sana about it.
They were sitting in the TWICE dorm's living room. Sana was scrolling through her phone when Y/N took a deep breath and spoke up.
"Hey, Sana... Iâve noticed youâve been hanging out a lot with... that guy from the party." Y/N kept her tone light, but she couldnât hide the concern in her eyes. "Is everything okay with us?"
Sana glanced up, surprised, then shrugged casually. "Oh, him? Itâs no big deal," she said, sounding almost dismissive. "We just ran into each other a couple of times. Heâs an old friend, you know?"
Y/N tried to process Sana's answer but felt a twinge of frustration. "I get that heâs an old friend," Y/N said slowly, "but it feels like youâre spending more time with him than with me lately."
Sanaâs expression shifted, almost defensive. "Y/N, he and I havenât seen each other in years. Of course, weâre catching up! You should understand," she added, a hint of irritation in her voice. "I canât spend all my time with just you. I have other friends too."
Y/N was taken aback, feeling hurt but trying to keep her cool. "Right. Of course, you need time for your friends," she replied, forcing a tight-lipped smile. "Well, thanks for letting me know."
Sana just looked at her, arms crossed. "Where are you going?" she asked, her tone almost sarcastic.
Y/N turned towards the door, her voice calm but strained. "Just going out for some air," she replied, trying to hold back her emotions. She didnât wait for a response and left the dorm, shutting the door gently behind her.
As she walked down the hallway, Y/N heard someone calling her name. She turned to see Jihyo, who had obviously overheard part of their conversation.
"Y/N, wait up!" Jihyo hurried over, her face full of concern. "Iâm so sorry about Sana's attitude," Jihyo sighed, then placed a gentle hand on Y/Nâs shoulder. "Iâll try to talk to her."
Y/N managed a small smile, appreciating Jihyoâs kindness. "Thanks, Jihyo, but itâs really between us," she replied. "I donât want to drag you or the others into it."
Jihyo nodded, respecting Y/Nâs decision, though her expression stayed worried. "Alright, just know weâre here for you, okay?"
"Thank you," Y/N said softly, before heading toward the exit, her mind swirling with frustration and confusion.
When she finally reached the YG building (you're an idol under YG entertainment) she felt like she could breathe again. The elevator doors opened, and Y/N stepped inside, ready to leave the tension behind for a bit.
As she pressed the button to her floor, the doors started to closeâuntil a hand suddenly slid in, stopping them. Y/N looked up in surprise as the doors reopened, revealing Miyeon, who was out of breath, clearly from running to catch the elevator.
Miyeon glanced up and froze for a moment, her face turning slightly pink. She quickly caught her breath, then stepped inside. Y/N chuckled, watching Miyeonâs flustered expression.
"Well, someoneâs in a hurry," Y/N teased, a small smile breaking through her earlier frustration. "Didnât know you were such a runner."
Miyeonâs eyes narrowed playfully, though she was still catching her breath. "Stop teasing me," she muttered, a smile tugging at her lips. "I just didnât want to wait for the next one."
They shared a laugh, and Y/Nâs mood felt a little lighter. She looked at Miyeon curiously. "So, what brings you to the YG building?" she asked. "You donât usually come here, right?"
Miyeonâs lips curled into a mysterious smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "That," she said, leaning in slightly, "is a secret."
Y/N rolled her eyes but smiled back. "Fine, keep your secrets," she said, chuckling. "I wonât ask."
Just then, the elevator dinged, signaling Y/Nâs floor. She glanced at Miyeon and offered a warm smile.
"Well, this is me," she said, stepping toward the door. "It was nice seeing you, Miyeon."
Miyeon returned the smile, her usual playfulness softening. "Same here, Y/N. Iâll see you around."
---
Days had flown by since Y/N's last argument with Sana. She kept busy with her training, preparing for her upcoming release, but she couldnât shake the frustration from her last encounter with Sana. She thought, If anyone should be upset, itâs me, not her. But every attempt at talking things through ended in arguments, so Y/N had resigned herself to letting Sana be. Still, she made time to visit Sana, even though Sana continued giving her the cold shoulder.
In the meantime, Y/N frequently ran into Miyeon at the YG building. Their brief chats had become a regular occurrence, and Y/N began to suspect that Miyeon might be collaborating with another YG artist. Her curiosity grew, especially since Miyeon was so secretive about it.
One day, after yet another âmysteriousâ encounter, Miyeon chuckled as Y/N shared her latest theory about the supposed collaboration.
"Y/N," Miyeon laughed, "if youâre that curious, why donât you just come out with me tonight? Iâm celebrating the release of a new song with my team."
Y/N hesitated. "Itâs your celebration; I donât want to intrude. Besides, itâs probably a close group, right?"
Miyeon waved a hand dismissively, grinning. "Oh, come on! The more, the merrier. Plus, I could use someone to celebrate with who isnât part of my team. Please?" she asked, her eyes wide with hope.
Y/N laughed, rolling her eyes playfully. "Alright, alright, you win. But only because youâre buying, and who would say no to free food?"
Later that evening, Miyeon, her crew, and Y/N all headed to a restaurant, and Miyeon encouraged Y/N to order freely. "Anything you want, seriously. Go crazy."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, feigning seriousness. "Anything? Better ready your wallet because Iâm ordering the most expensive dish here."
Miyeon giggled, nudging her. "Silly, just eat whatever you like."
As they enjoyed their food, Y/N glanced around the table. She was genuinely curious about the supposed âcollaborating artistâ but hadnât spotted anyone new. Finally, she leaned toward Miyeon and asked, "So, whereâs this mystery artist youâre working with? Shouldnât they be here too?"
Miyeon grinned, amused. "There is no âother artist.â Itâs just me. I just joined YG."
Y/N stared at her in disbelief. "Wait, youâre⦠youâre under YG now?! And you didnât tell me?"
Miyeon chuckled at Y/Nâs expression. "I didnât lie! You just assumed I was collaborating with someone."
Y/N crossed her arms, half-amused and half-annoyed. "You could have told me, you know! Iâd have given you a proper welcome."
Miyeon laughed and shrugged. "You can give me that welcome some other time."
Y/N rolled her eyes, but she couldnât help smiling. "Fine, you got me. Guess Iâll have to properly congratulate you soon."
Just then, the countdown for Miyeonâs new song release began, and the entire crew joined in, excitedly counting down. When the song finally went live, they all crowded around a big screen in the restaurant to watch the music video. The energy in the room was contagious, and Y/N felt herself getting swept up in the celebration, applauding with everyone as the video ended.
"Congrats, Miyeon," Y/N said warmly, her eyes lingering on Miyeon, who looked both thrilled and a little bashful at all the praise.
Miyeon caught her gaze and chuckled. "Whatâs with the look, Y/N?"
Y/N crossed her arms, mock pouting. "Youâre a trickster! You really didnât mention a word about joining YG."
Miyeonâs smile turned playful. "Well, you canât really blame me for you guessing wrong," she teased. "Besides, it was a good surprise, right?"
Y/N sighed dramatically. "Alright, fine. I guess Iâll just have to make up for it and give you a proper welcome soon."
Miyeon winked. "Iâll hold you to that."
As the night went on, Miyeonâs crew ordered some soju to toast her new release. The celebration grew a little louder, and Miyeon happily took the first shot to a round of cheers. Y/N clapped along, but she started to feel a bit worried as the drinks kept flowing.
Leaning over, she whispered to Miyeon, "Donât overdo it, okay? Remember last time?"
Miyeon turned to Y/N, their faces inches apart. She smirked, eyes sparkling. "What, are you scared of what might happen if I get drunk?"
Y/N pulled back, chuckling. "Hardly. Just trying to save you from yourself."
They continued laughing and talking with Miyeonâs crew until Y/N noticed that the room was emptying out. She glanced at her phone; it was past 1 AM. Just as she thought about heading out, she noticed Miyeon was still there, tipsy and cheerful.
I should get going, Y/N thought, but then she hesitated. Miyeon was hardly in any shape to get home safely alone, and while her team offered, they were mostly guys and were clearly as tipsy as she was.
With a sigh, Y/N turned to Miyeon. "Alright, letâs get you home."
Miyeon grinned, clearly amused. "Where are you taking me?" she teased, flashing a flirtatious smile.
Y/N rolled her eyes, tugging her along. "Come on, letâs get you to your place safely."
They made it to the parking lot, and Y/N decided to drive Miyeonâs car, leaving her own at the YG building. After a few laughs, some sleepy complaints, and a few wrong turns, they finally arrived at Miyeonâs condo.
Miyeon got out, her expression softening as she looked at Y/N. "Thanks for bringing me home," she murmured, a slight blush in her cheeks. And before Y/N could react, Miyeon leaned in and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
Y/N froze, her face heating up. She sighed, giving Miyeon a gentle but exasperated look. "You know I have a girlfriend, right?"
Miyeon chuckled, her expression soft. "Relax. Itâs just a thank-you for getting me home."
Y/N let out a breath, then nodded. "Alright. Goodnight, Miyeon."
Y/N took a cab back to the YG building. As she stepped out and headed toward the parking garage to get her car, she noticed a familiar figure standing in the dimly lit area.
It was Sana.
Surprised, Y/N walked over, glancing at her watch. Itâs 2 AM, she thought, wondering what Sana was doing here at this hour. But just as Y/N was about to ask, Sana turned toward her, her face unreadable. Then, without warning, Sana raised her hand, and the sharp sound of a slap echoed in the empty garage.
Y/N blinked, stunned, her hand going to her cheek. "S-Sana... what theâwhat was that for?" she asked, her voice trembling with both confusion and anger.
Sana glared at her, her voice icy. "So, you think you can sneak around with Miyeon behind my back?"
Y/Nâs eyes widened in shock. "Sneak around? Sana, thatâs not whatâs happening! I was justâ"
"Spare me the excuses," Sana interrupted, her tone bitter. "Do you know what it feels like to see you with someone else when youâre supposed to be with me?"
Y/N clenched her fists, hurt flashing across her face. "Are you serious, Sana? Youâre the one whoâs been pushing me away! I tried talking to you, I tried reaching out, and you shut me out every single time."
Sana looked away, her jaw tense. "So, thatâs your excuse for hanging out with Miyeon?"
"Sheâs my friend!" Y/N shot back, her voice breaking slightly. "Unlike you, sheâs been there for me these past few weeks."
They stood there in silence, the tension thick between them. Finally, Y/N took a deep breath, her voice barely a whisper. "I donât know whatâs going on with us, Sana. But you donât get to slap me and accuse me of something that isnât true."
Sana looked away, her anger fading just enough to reveal a hint of regret. "Y/N⦠Iâ¦"
But Y/N shook her head. "I need some space right now, Sana," she whispered, stepping back. Without another word, she turned and walked away, her heart heavy with the weight of everything left unsaid.
Sana let out a bitter, sarcastic chuckle, her eyes flashing. "So, what? Youâre breaking up with me now?"
Y/N turned back to her, eyes wide with frustration and disbelief. "No, Sana. Iâm not breaking up with youâI just need space. Thatâs it. Why are you jumping to conclusions?"
Sana folded her arms tightly across her chest, her expression cold. "Space, breaking up⦠Itâs the same thing, Y/N. Youâre just trying to dress it up."
Y/Nâs patience started to fray. She took a deep breath, trying to keep her voice steady. "No, itâs not. I just need some time to breathe, to think. This isnât a breakup. I just⦠I need a moment to figure things out."
But Sana shook her head, her lips twisting into a bitter smile. "Fine," she said sharply. "You want space? Letâs make it permanent then. Letâs break up."
Y/Nâs heart dropped, her mind racing to catch up with what sheâd just heard. "Wait⦠what? Sana, thatâs not what I said. I never asked for that."
Sana shrugged, her voice laced with hurt. "Well, itâs what you want, isnât it? You need time away from me. So, fine. Letâs make it official."
Y/Nâs frustration hit its peak, her tone hardening. "This is ridiculous, Sana! Youâre twisting my words!"
But before she could finish, Sana turned and began to walk away, anger in every step. Y/N hurried after her, catching her arm and gently but firmly guiding her toward her car. "Weâre not done talking about this," Y/N said, her voice a mix of determination and desperation.
Sana pulled back, trying to escape Y/N's hold, but Y/N was stronger. She opened the car door, carefully but resolutely steering Sana inside before closing the door and locking it. Sana tried the handle, her breathing quickening when she realized it was locked.
"Let me out!" Sanaâs voice broke, tears streaming down her face as she pounded on the window. "Y/N, open the door. Let me go!"
Y/N clenched her jaw, heart pounding. Sheâd tried so hard to stay calm, but now her own emotions were spilling over. She snapped, her voice rising louder than sheâd intended. "Sana, stop!"
The sharpness of Y/Nâs tone cut through the air, and Sana froze, her eyes widening. Sheâd never heard Y/N shout at her before, and the shock was enough to halt her protests.
Realizing the effect her tone had, Y/N softened immediately, regret flooding her expression. She reached over, pulling Sana into a tight hug, holding her close as she whispered, "Iâm sorry⦠I didnât mean to scare you. Please⦠just stay with me for a second. Let me explain."
Sana stayed in Y/Nâs arms, her breaths still coming in shaky gasps, but her anger slowly faded into exhaustion. When sheâd calmed, Y/N gently pulled back, searching her face for any sign of understanding before turning the key in the ignition and starting the car. The hum of the engine filled the silence between them as Y/N began driving toward Sanaâs place.
As they drove, Y/N reached over, gently placing her hand over Sanaâs on her lap. She gave it a reassuring squeeze, glancing at her every few moments to check if she was okay. Sana looked out the window, silent and still visibly upset, but she didnât pull her hand away. Y/N felt a small sense of relief at that.
When they finally arrived at Sanaâs building, Y/N turned off the engine and faced her, determination in her eyes. "Sana, please listen to me. Thereâs nothing going on between me and Miyeon. Sheâs a friend, and thatâs all. You have to believe me."
Sana stayed silent, her gaze fixed somewhere over Y/Nâs shoulder, a tear slipping down her cheek.
Y/N took a deep breath, her tone gentle but firm. "Asking for space doesnât mean I want to break up. Iâm not going anywhere, Sana. I just⦠I need some time alone to think and unwind. This doesnât change how I feel about you."
Sana finally looked at Y/N, her expression softening, though traces of doubt lingered in her eyes. "But⦠if you need space, does that mean somethingâs wrong with us? Are you unhappy with me?"
Y/N shook her head immediately, her voice full of conviction. "No, I love you, Sana. I love you so much. But sometimes, I just need time to clear my head. Itâs not about us not working; itâs just⦠I want to be the best version of myself, for you and for me. And that means sometimes I need a little space."
Sana swallowed, nodding slowly as she processed Y/Nâs words. "So⦠youâre saying this is just temporary? Youâre not leaving me?"
Y/Nâs grip on her hand tightened. "Not in a million years. Iâll be here, Sana. You donât have to worry about me leaving."
A few more tears slid down Sanaâs cheeks as she gave a small nod, finally meeting Y/Nâs gaze with a look of understanding. "Okay⦠I trust you. Iâm sorry. I just⦠I get scared sometimes."
Y/N smiled softly, reaching up to brush away a tear from Sanaâs cheek.
After a moment, Y/N gave her hand one last reassuring squeeze before letting go. "Get some rest. Iâll check in on you tomorrow, alright?"
Sana nodded, finally looking at peace. "Thank you⦠for not giving up on me."
Y/Nâs smile grew as she opened the car door for her. "Never. Goodnight, Sana."
With one last glance, Sana stepped out of the car, giving Y/N a quick kiss on the cheek before disappearing into her building. Y/N watched until she was out of sight, her heart feeling lighter than it had in weeks. She knew things were far from perfect, but this was a step toward healingâa step she was willing to take, as long as it meant theyâd keep walking forward together.
