"Fell Out Of Love"
Sana Short Imagines
Y/N had been noticing Sana's change in behavior for weeks now. The once bubbly and affectionate girl had become distant and reserved, especially when they were together. Y/N already had an inkling of why this was happening, but she waited patiently, hoping Sana would eventually open up.
One night, they were both sitting on the couch, supposedly watching a show on TV. The screen flickered with colorful images, but neither of them was paying attention. The silence between them was heavy, filled with unspoken words and lingering doubts.
Y/N glanced at Sana, her heart aching at the sight of her distant expression. She took a deep breath and finally broke the silence. "Sana, are you okay? You seem... different lately."
Sana turned to Y/N, her eyes reflecting a mixture of guilt and sadness. "I'm fine," she replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Really, I am."
They both fell silent again, the atmosphere growing more tense by the second. Y/N couldn't take it any longer. She turned to Sana once more, her voice gentle but firm. "How about we go out tomorrow? Just the two of us. We could go to that new café you wanted to try."
Sana hesitated, her eyes darting away from Y/N's gaze. "I don't think I can make it," she said, her voice strained. "I'm really busy tomorrow. Maybe you could go alone?"
Y/N's heart sank at Sana's words. She shook her head, a sad smile playing on her lips. "I can't go alone, Sana. I wanted to go with you. It was supposed to be a date."
Sana bit her lip, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I really am."
Y/N sighed, feeling a wave of resignation wash over her. She had done everything she could to bring back the spark in their relationship, but it was clear that Sana's feelings had changed. Even if Sana couldn't say it, Y/N knew deep down that their time together was coming to an end.
"It's okay, Sana," Y/N said softly, forcing a smile. "I understand."
She turned back to the TV, the colorful images blurring together as her mind raced with memories of happier times. Y/N knew she couldn't change Sana's mind or her feelings. All she could do was cherish the moments they had shared and accept that it was time to let go.
Y/N smiled softly and held Sana's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "No matter what happens, I just want you to be happy. That's all that matters to me." She looked at Sana with a mixture of love and sorrow. "Sana," she began, her voice gentle and sincere, "being with you has been one of the best times of my life. Iâm going to cherish every moment weâve shared."
Sana turned to look at Y/N, her eyes meeting the deep sadness hidden behind Y/N's smile. She shook her head, trying to stop Y/N from continuing. "Please, Y/N... donât," she pleaded, her voice cracking.
But Y/N couldn't hold back any longer. She pulled Sana into a tight embrace, holding her as if she might disappear at any moment. "I love you, Sana," Y/N whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I love you so much. And itâs okay. Itâs really okay."
Sana shook her head again, tears streaming down her cheeks. "No, Y/N. I donât want to hear it. Please donât say it."
Y/N held her tighter, feeling Sana's body tremble against hers. She gently stroked Sana's hair, trying to offer some comfort. "Sana, I know you want to stay. But staying will only hurt us both more. Itâs not fair to either of us."
Sana's sobs grew louder, and she clung to Y/N as if she were her lifeline. "I donât want to hurt you, Y/N. I donât want this to end."
"I know," Y/N murmured, her own tears falling freely now. "But staying isnât a solution, especially if the feelings arenât there anymore. We both know it."
Sana pulled back slightly, looking at Y/N with a mix of anguish and regret. "If my feelings hadnât disappeared... if I could still feel the same way... maybe weâd still be happy together. Maybe we wouldnât be hurting like this."
Y/N chuckled softly, her fingers gently wiping away Sana's. "Donât blame yourself, Sana. Feelings change, and sometimes thereâs nothing we can do about it. It doesnât mean youâre at fault. It doesnât mean we didnât have something beautiful."
Sana stared at Y/N, her heart breaking even more at the understanding and love in Y/N's eyes. "Iâm so sorry, Y/N," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Y/N shook her head, giving Sana a sad but comforting smile. "Donât be sorry, Sana. We had something wonderful, and Iâll always be grateful for that. Weâll both find our way, even if it means we have to part now."
Y/N slowly let go from the hug and gently wiped the tears from Sana's cheeks. "Sana, donât blame yourself," she said softly, her voice filled with warmth. "Never think about what others feel, including me. What matters is your own feelings. You need to be true to yourself."
Sana nodded slightly, still sniffling. Y/N gave her a reassuring smile. "I can take care of myself, Sana. I can manage. You don't have to worry about me."
Y/N leaned in and kissed Sana's forehead tenderly. The tears continued to flow from Sanaâs eyes, causing Y/N to chuckle. "If you keep crying like this, you might get ugly," she teased gently. "It should be me crying, not you."
Sana's sobs intensified, and Y/N laughed softly, her eyes twinkling with affection. "Hey hey hey, I'm only joking and youâre beautiful even when you cry."
They continued to hold each other for what felt like hours. Sanaâs tears eventually slowed, and exhaustion took over. She fell asleep in Y/Nâs arms, her breathing becoming steady and calm.
Y/N carefully shifted, gently laying Sana down on her bed. She sat beside her, watching the peaceful expression on Sanaâs face. A heavy sigh escaped Y/Nâs lips as she leaned down, placing a soft kiss on Sana's forehead. Her own tears now began to fall, one by one.
"Take care of yourself, Sana," Y/N whispered, her voice trembling. "I love you."
With a final, lingering look, Y/N stood up and quietly left the room, closing the door behind her. The weight of their parting settled in her heart, but she knew it was for the best.
