Fan-Made Chaos
SIGNED TO BE HIS
The evening had settled over the city like a blanket, cool and calm. Jax and Grace had retreated back to the apartment after their bold stand in the park. The press had moved on, their questions answered and their images captured, leaving the two of them with a moment of peace they hadn't expected to get so soon.
But as soon as they stepped inside the apartment, Jax's phone buzzed with a notification.
"What's up?" Grace asked, curling up on the couch with a blanket, trying to shake off the last remnants of the day's chaos.
Jax glanced at the screen, his eyebrows furrowing. "Uh... something weird is going on." He handed her the phone.
Grace read the message aloud: "Hey, Grace and Jax! Big fan here! I saw you guys at the park today and just wanted to say, I made something special for you. Check it out!"
Before Grace could ask what the message meant, Jax opened the link. His eyes widened in surprise.
On the screen was a video, and it wasn't just any video. It was a fan editâcomplete with dramatic music, close-up shots of them at the park, and a slow-motion effect on the moment Grace had spoken to the paparazzi. The whole thing looked like something straight out of a blockbuster movie.
"Uh, what is this?" Grace asked, trying not to laugh.
Jax shook his head, clearly amused. "I have no idea, but it's... kind of awesome in the weirdest way."
The video showed them walking through the park, making their stand, but it was edited as if they were in an action movie. At one point, the camera zoomed in on Grace's face with intense music playing, making it seem like she was about to deliver the most dramatic monologue of her life. Then it cut to a slow-motion shot of Jax looking cool and collected, as if he were the hero of a film.
As the video continued, the fan had added in absurd sound effectsâexplosions, heroic theme music, and even a zoom effect on a random person walking by. The whole thing was ridiculous, but somehow, it worked. They looked like they were in an action-packed blockbuster rather than facing down a crowd of paparazzi.
"This is... insane," Grace laughed, covering her face as she watched herself 'deliver the speech of a lifetime.' "Are we supposed to look like we're saving the world from a bomb threat?"
Jax grinned, clearly entertained. "It's like we're in an Avengers movie or something."
The video continued to get more ridiculous. At one point, they edited in a fake slow-motion moment of Grace running away from the crowd, as if she were being chased by some unseen villain. Jax was 'running' after her, trying to catch up. It looked so over-the-top that it had to be intentional.
Grace couldn't stop laughing as the video played. "I mean, we definitely looked like superheroes. Do you think we should post this ourselves?"
Jax chuckled. "Maybe we should, just to mess with people. I'll be honest, it's probably more entertaining than what actually happened."
Grace grabbed the phone and decided to take a screenshot of the video. "Alright, let's post this. It'll make everything look way more fun than the reality of it all."
Before Jax could respond, there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it," Grace said, setting the phone down and standing up. She opened the door to reveal a delivery man holding a large pizza box and a bag of drinks.
"Uh, this is for Jax Riot and Grace..." The delivery man looked a little confused but handed over the order.
Grace raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? We didn't order anyâ"
The man nodded and handed her the receipt. "Yep. You're all set."
Grace glanced back at Jax, who was just as confused as she was.
"You didn't order this?" Grace asked him, still holding the pizza.
"Nope," Jax replied. "And I'm kind of scared to find out who did."
"Maybe it's a fan?" Grace suggested, opening the box to find it stuffed with a variety of pizzas. Pepperoni, veggie, and even one with extra cheese.
"Either way, they've got good taste," Jax said with a grin, reaching for a slice.
Grace laughed and followed suit, grabbing a slice for herself. The doorbell rang again, and this time, it was a large bouquet of flowers being delivered to their apartment.
"What is going on?" Grace asked, shaking her head.
Jax read the note attached to the flowers. "To Grace and Jax, the coolest couple ever. Thanks for standing up for what's right. From a grateful fan."
The message was simple, but it made Grace smile. She had to admit, the outpouring of love from the fans had surprised her. It was a reminder that, despite everything, they had support. Real support.
The evening took an even stranger turn when the doorbell rang a third time. This time, it was a large cakeâfrosted in bright colors, with the words "#TeamGraceAndJax" written across the top.
"I swear, this is like a fan festival," Jax laughed, clearly entertained by the chaos.
Grace couldn't help but join in. It was unexpected, funny, and completely over the top. They sat together, pizza slices in hand, laughing as more packages arrived at the door.
"So, is this our life now?" Grace asked, glancing at Jax with a teasing smile.
Jax gave her a sly grin. "Hey, it could be worse. At least the fans think we're superheroes."
Grace raised her glass in a toast. "To being heroes... or at least pretending to be."
Jax clinked his glass against hers. "To the most entertaining chaos we've ever been a part of."
The laughter and the absurdity of the evening turned the whole experience into something lighthearted. It had been a crazy, wild day, but in the end, Grace and Jax were left with something better than they could have imagined: a little bit of fun, a lot of pizza, and a reminder that the fans, the people who had always been there for them, could turn even the messiest of days into something worth remembering.
