He sat in his car talking to a client when a girl who looked troubled, lost, and disoriented walked past his car. He looked at her with interest, his hazel eyes followed her to the back where she continued walking with her hands on her waist, she looked really tired.He dropped the call and went after her, he stopped the car in front of her and opened the door so they could face each other.Sandra was walking aimlessly on the street, she had nowhere to go, she had no money and her mom is still in the morgue. A black BMW pulled in front of her causing her to pause in her tracks"How can I help you, sir?" she asked witha tired voice coupled with a sore throat."I should be asking you that, why the tears and why do you look shaggy?" His words only brought more tears to her eyes. "Hush, get in" he opened the car door for her. Sandra didn't think twice to enter the stranger's car."I didn't introduce myself, I am Mason Campbell." Sandra's eyes cleared up instantly. Everyone knows who Mason is just by name, after the ruthless Alex, is him."I am Sandra sir" she mumbled. Mason smiled when he saw the fear and happiness in her eyes. He started the car and drove off.He took her to his house. The gateman opened the gate when he heard his car honking, his car drove into the huge compound. His house was a two-story house painted light orange, and five guards were stationed outside.Sandra followed him around like a lost puppy, the interior decor was amazing, the interior has two beaded chandeliers hung on the ceiling, one in the living room and another in the dining area.Amber wool carpet covered the floor, it looked soft and comfortable, and a plasma screen TV hung on the wall. The carpeted staircase leads towards the first floor, with ornate stained-glass interior windows and a large cloakroom, and the reception hall."Martha" he called, a girl who looked like she was in her late twenties came running."Welcome back sir Mason" she bowed her head showing respect."Take her to the guestroom, give her new clothes and food to eat, and send her to my office when you are done." Sandra followed Martha to the guestroom, she took a warm bath, changed clothes to something comfortable, and ate to her heart's content.Martha took her to Mason's office, and she was offered a seat "So are you going to tell me what happened to you now that you are better?" He asked looking at her in the eyes.Sandra told her everything about how her mother gambled their house, company, and wealth and lost, and how she died in a car accident, and now she has nowhere else to go, she has bills to settle, and her mom hasn't been laid to rest."So you are the daughter of the woman who was fighting in Alex's casino" he chuckled looking at her with mischief."I have a proposition for you," he said with a glint in his eyes.Alex held Laura in his hands lovingly, he still hasn't openly accepted his feelings for her, she is unaware of the fact he loves her.She has finally fallen asleep after hours of crying about the death of her mother, her shedding tears because of it made him angry, he had the urge to kill Sandra but it will have to wait.A knock on the door jolted him from his thoughts, the door opened, and Dexter came in with a file in his hands."Why didn't you wait for me in my office? "He whispered not wanting to wake Laura up. Dexter rolled his eyes."I have been waiting for you for the past forty minutes." He retorted "when I tell you, you have fallen in love with this girl you won't agree. What will you do if she finds out you caused Pauline's death?" Alex glared at Dexter, he checked if Laura was sleeping or pretending, he couldn't take chances."I didn't kill her, she had an accident because she was intoxicated, I didn't give her the alcohol, did I?" He asked with a bored tone"You made her miserable for making her lose everything she had in one day." Luckily for them, Laura was fast asleep."I'm only took back what was mine. I made her richer after she sold Laura to that brothel but then I decided to take it back with a little extra."
