âYou still wouldnât tell me, would you?â Luna said with a cold smile at the grunts in front of her. âItâs fine. There comes a time when youâll be begging to tell me, and itâll be too late by then.â
The one who supported her was Alexander. The famous Alexander White. So she wasnât afraid at all.
âFine!â Dyson gritted his teeth and said, âItâs Trumble. Trumble Springfield was the one that looked for me. He wanted me to teach you a lesson.â
If the recording just now reached the hands of others, his reputation would be completely gone from this area.
Luna scowled. Trumble Springfield was the elder brother of the originalâs stepmother.
She didnât even have to guess who was behind all this. Flora Springfield. She was impressed.
She had just helped her daughter take her first step into the Oaksâ front door, and she couldnât even wait to finish her off now that she was useless to her!
âTheyâre all yours to deal with!â Luna looked at the five men and didnât say anything before turning and leaving.
âWait, the recording! Luna Brookeâ¦â
Luna didnât even turn around and said, âDonât worry. As long as you keep to yourself, this recording will never appear in this corner of the world.â
ââ¦â
Once she returned to the mansion, she then copied it into the computer, and then connected to her Bluetooth earpiece.
There wasnât anything useful in the laboratory. They were all simply chatting.
It seemed that Clarence knew that the things inside were no longer critical to him, and therefore didnât continue to be worried about them.
If that was the case, then she should go to the laboratory and take back the bug.
With that thought in mind, she then gave Clarence a call.
Maybe it was because she had helped Clarence get together with his one true love, he didnât let her wait for long before picking up the call.
âLuna?â She could hear the confusion in Clarenceâs voice, as well as some surprise.
Luna didnât beat around the bush and said to him, âIâve finished my medicine. Last time, when I went to your laboratory, they said that all the meds are gone. Is that true?â
Clarence was slightly stunned before replying, âWe donât have any anymore. You already have Alexander White, do you even need me?â
This sentence was somewhat sarcastic.
âIf you donât have any, then thatâs fine. I was just asking,â Luna said in a matter-of-fact tone. âBut your labâs key card is with me. Iâll return it to you soon. Are you still in the lab?â
Clarence just wanted to say something, but Eveâs voice had already reached him, âClarence, whoâs calling you?â
Luna was the only one that was shocked this time. Didnât they say that the two of them should contact each other at this time? These two were really inseparable.
âNo. Just give it to Grant when youâre there. Alright, Iâm hanging up!â
Clarence hung up the call immediately as if he was afraid that Luna would notice who was by his side.
Luna rolled her eyes. She didnât have the time to report them!
She drove to the laboratory to return the keycard. She retrieved the tapping device when no one was paying attention to her and successfully completed her objective for coming to the place.
Luna was quite tired that day. Once she was back to the mansion, Mrs. Niles brought over a cup of warm milk and greeted her, âMadam.â
Luna thanked her as she grabbed the cup. âMrs. Niles, what are we having tonight? Iâm somewhat hungry.â
Mrs. Niles then asked, âI bought two fresh fish today. Do you want them steamed or fried?â
Luna nodded and said, âSteam them then! Oh, right. Did Alexander say when heâll be back?â
Mrs. Niles shook her head and said, âNo. You can ask him directly.â
Luna then drank her milk, and then asked her curiously, âAlexander wouldnât tell you when he would come home in the past?â
âHe would,â Mrs. Niles replied. âHowever, ever since you moved in, Mr. White has never informed us anymore. Perhaps because there was someone at home now, he didnât have to worry that no one would eat my cooking.â
Luna coughed lightly and then asked her, âSo no other women have ever lived in this house other than me?â
Mrs. Niles answered very quickly, âYouâre the first one, madam.â
This time, Luna didnât want to say anything anymore. She hadnât expected that Alexander would be so squeaky clean even with his personal life.
But if she were to give it some thought, he must be quite lonely to come back to such an empty house!
She was suddenly quite curious. What would Alexander do after work when she wasnât around?
It was night time and Alexander finally made it back home.
âYouâre home!â
Luna turned her head as she sat on the sofa, holding a cushion. Her smile was bright and warm.
Although Alexander was slightly tired, all the fatigue magically disappeared at this moment.
âIâm home,â Alexander changed his clothes and shoes, and then sat down next to Luna and said, âI heard that you were quite bold this afternoon?â
He was quite surprised that even Dyson Suth wasnât her match.
He always thought that she only knew a little martial arts.
Luna smiled and said, âNope. Iâm just a weak little girl. I still need you to protect me!â
Alexander didnât believe her at all. Instead, he smacked her head with his hand. âItâs Trumble Springfield. What do you want to do? Need my help?â
Luna gave it a thought and said, âOf course! If itâs me alone, I couldnât handle him at all.â
Alexander smiled and asked, âIs it? Thereâs a time when you canât handle someone?â
He didnât believe it, though.
Luna turned around and looked at him, then said, âI canât stop myself from falling for you for one.â
âWhat a sweet tongue.â Despite saying that, the smile on his face became even wider.
They watched the television for a while when Mrs. Niles and the butler prepared dinner. âMaster White, Madam, dinner is served.â
The two of them sit by the table. Luna tasted the fish, and then gave Mrs. Niles a big thumbs up and said, âThis is so good! Itâs like a 5-star chef cooked it!â
âAs long as you like it.â Mrs. Niles shook her head with a smile and left.
Luna glanced at Alexander and said, âItâs too bad that you canât eat this.â
Alexander then said, âItâs fine. Iâm used to it. There are so many things that I like to eat, I canât have all of them.â
Not to mention that he felt rather happy just watching her eat.
Luna gave it some thought and said, âWhat would you do after work when I wasnât around?â
âRead books, look at documents, sometimes watch a movie,â Alexander said in surprise. âWhy did you suddenly ask about this?â
Luna prepared not to hear his question, âWatch a movie? With whom?â
Alexander chuckled. âWho else? Just myself.â
He would rather watch alone than together with all the other women that wanted to watch it with him.
Luna answered okay and then said, âCan I accompany you from now on?â
Alexander glanced at her and said, âDepends on how you perform.â
Luna pouted. âFine, Iâll watch with someone else instead.â
Alexander was slightly stunned, and his eyes stared into her. âWhat did you say?â
Luna immediately gave up. âWith Melody! Melody Seawine!â
Alexander nodded in satisfaction. That was much better..
