Bella's POV

Today was Alex's birthday and I gotta say, Mrs Quinn went overboard with the decorations and celebration. This was practically a ball.

"I told you, I didn't want her planning my birthday." Alex said and I smiled.

"Well, it's not bad now is it. It shows how much she loves you. Lest year we simply celebrated you birthday in my pub. I feel so bad for under planning your birthday now."  I sucked.

"Hey, my birthday last year was the best one I ever celebrated. It was just us, genuine friends we could call family. No two faced bitches that I had to greet and all. It felt at home. I loved every moment of it." He said making me smile.

"So, except for last year, all your birthdays have been like this?" I asked and he nodded.

"And you still haven't forgiven Luxe?" Alex asked.

"No, I am still giving him silent treatment. Ngl, looked at him like that is kinda fun. Maybe I'll play with him a bit more." I said.

"Waa, you women are evil beings. But be careful, you're playing with fire here, you'll regret it if you drag it too far." He siad and I shrugged.

Over the week, Mrs Quinn and I bonded quickly. She was the mother I never had and the way she showered me with affection almost brought me to tears.

"Bella, my baby!" I smiled as Mrs Quinn came over to us.

"Good evening Mrs Quinn." I said with a smile.

"How have you been child?" She asked and I smiled.

"You saw her yesterday!" Alex commented earning a glare from Mrs Quinn.

"Well, today is your birthday so I won't hit you." She said making me laugh.

The rest of my evening was well spent, I wasn't staying over, as there was no place for me, so I gotta leave early.

"Bella!" I heard Luxe call behind me.

I was making my way to the living room, as I went to the washroom.

I decided to ignore him to see how he reacts. As a result I was suddenly pinned to the wall.

"What do you want, Lucifer?" I asked ignoring the effect he wa having on me.

"Don't ignore me Bella?" He growled into my ear making me shiver.

"I already apologised Bella, for how long are you going to torture me." He asked as he pressed his core onto my stomach, making me gasp.

"Do you see what you're doing to me Bella? What your closeness is doing it me?"

I could smell alcohol in his breath.

"You're drunk, Luxe, let's talk when you're sober." I said.

"I ma very much sober, thank you very much." He said.

"No, you're drunk." I said.

"I'm not a lightweight Bella." He said.

"Okay I won't ignore you anymore, now let me go." I said.

"Really?" He asked and I nodded.

And he hugged me, "Thanks for forgiving me Bella. I missed you." He said.

"Well I forgave you long ago, I was just teasing you, to see your reaction." I slapped my hand over my mouth.

Fuck me, why did I say that?

"What did you say?" I heard him growl.

"Nothing." I said.

Stupid. Stupid Bella.

"No you did."

U'oh, he was mad.

I shook my head as I looked down, guilty. But he yanked on my hair and pried my hands away from my mouth.

"Do you know what you've done, Bella?" He asked. His voice extra raspy.

Man, I'd have an orgasm right here and now.

I shook my head.

"Well, I'll tell you, you've unleashed a beast, Bella, and you're gonna face the consequences." He said as he crashed his lips on mine.
