Your pov

It was a nice day in Ponyville and I was outside walking through town fixing to head to Zecora's to get Twilight's favorite tea which she made me go get due to her re-reorganizing the library after another study session.... And that I did bailed on her and the others back at cloudsdale and came back extremely wasted to where I threw up on the library floor. At least I made a new friend during that time.

As I was walking I saw Fluttershy and the cmc walking down the path. "Hey, Fluttershy! Girls!" I said. "Oh! Hello (y/n). Where are you off to?" She asked me. "Well Twilight ran out of her favorite tea, so she made me get it from Zecora's." I told her. "Th-The Everfree Forest? Ah, you'll be careful, won't you?" She asked me. "Of course, I can handle anything that the everfree has living." I told her as there was now a uncomfortable silence for a few minutes.

"I have been training...." I said as another silence appeared. "All those defeats has only made me stronger." I said as there was another silence. "....I do plan be stronger someday Fluttershy." I told her. "Erm.... Well.... At least have a good heart." She said with an awkward smile. "....So, what are you doing with the girls?" I asked changing the subject. "Rarity has a big order to fill tonight, so I volunteered to take the girls over to my cottage for a sleepover." She told me.

"All by yourself? Wow. Sure you can handle those three?" I asked her. "What? These sweet little angels? They'll be no problem at all." She said as the three fillies who were playing as we were talking stopped and they smiled innocently. "Well good luck." I said as I went out to the everfree forest.

Time skip

Evening

Still you pov:

After an hour of getting lost a bit I had finally made it to Zecora's, where I can see Zecora walking out with a bag full of carrots. "Hey Zecora!" I said as she jumps. "(Y/n)! What are you doing here!?" She asked me full of panic for some reason. "Twilight ran out of her favorite tea and I came to get more." I told her. "You can't be here!? It's gonna be a new moon tonight and you must leave!! Leave before it comes out!?!!" She said as she was pushing me away. "What is it?" I asked her. "No time!! Get out before it becomes night!?" She said as she ran back to her house dropped the carrots by her house and tan inside and I could hear a lot of locks locking up. ".....Ok..... that was weird.... I'll have to come back tomorrow to ask what that was all about?" I said In confusion as I walked off.

Time skip

Night

"Great! I'm lost again!" I said as I was trying to find a way out of the forest. "Ugh... I'm never gonna find my way out." I said as continued walking. As I was walking I noticed that there was sound of animal life around me. Not even a cricket is heard or even an owl. "Strange, there was a lot of noise when I entered the forest.... But why did it all stopped when it turned to night?" I asked myself as it was just eerie silence as I was walking.

"Hehe.... Boy. It sure is nice to listen to myself talk and not have to listen at silence. Hehe...." I said as I was trying to mask the silence. Then I felt a rumble coming from the ground. "What?" I said in confusion as a bunch of Pokémon and animals who all had a terrified look on their face, just came out of nowhere running in one direction nearly hitting me in the process. "What?" I said as a small creature with a chicken head and a reptile body popped out of the bushes and was running away in terror who ran past me. "Ok. What is going on!? Why were they all terrified?" I said in confusion.

I then heard a very loud ghostly wail sent chills to my fur. "What.... Was..... that?...." I asked myself as I was looking around to see what made that noise. "Hello?" I called out as I then felt a very big chill behind me. "....By any chance. That the chill behind me..... is just my imagination?...." I asked hopefully as the wail was made right behind me. "Oh dear."

Elsewhere

In the other side of the forest a group of fillies were walking through the forest calling out for a chicken when they the heard a loud scream. "AAAAAAAAAAaAAaAAAAHHHHHHHHHhHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "What was that?" Sweetie asked with worry on her face. "I don't know." Apple bloom said. "It was.... Probably... the wind?" Scootaloo said hopefully. "L-let's just.... Find the chicken and get out of here." Apple bloom said as the other two agreed.

Elsewhere.... Again

Fluttershy pov:

"Girls?" I whispered as I was flying through the forest searching for them. "Girls?" I called out again as I landed. "Oh where are they?" I asked myself as I was walking. "Oh I hope they are ok." I said as I then tripped on something. "Ahhhh!!" I yelled as I got up to see what I had tripped which I then saw that it was (y/n). Who was badly hurt! He/she had a lot of bruises, scratches, and his/her right hind hoof is bent in a awkward looking position. "Oh my goodness!! (Y/n)!!?" I yelled as I zoom to him/her.

"Ugh...." I heard him/her groan. "Ooohhhh.... I knew this would happen if you went. I should've tried to stop you, but...." I said as I felt tears on my face. "Fluttershy? ....what are you doing out here." I heard him/her weakly say to me. "(Y/n)! Your alive and awake! Oh thank goodness! What happens!?" I asked. "No clue.... All I knew something attack me and it was fast.... Or it was invisible. I couldn't tell. It was dark." He/she said. "We need to get out of here. But first we need to find the girls." I said. "What?! We need to find them quick!" He/she said as he/she was trying to get up. "Here." I said as I asked pacer him/her on my back. ".....Am I that light?"

Sweetie Belle pov

We have been searching for the chicken for a while and so far nothing. "Girls, we've been searching and we haven't found anything. Maybe we should stop." I said. "But we still haven't gotten our cutie marks yet?" Apple bloom said. "Yeah... but we haven't seen anything out here and I haven't heard anything since we got here and it's kinda freaking me out a bit." Scootaloo said. "Now that you mention it. I haven't heard anything as well. I would've thought that there would be insects buzzing or something." Apple bloom said.

"Maybe they're all asleep?" I suggested hopefully as we then heard a ghostly chiming sound. "What was that!?" Apple bloom said as something small was flying around us until I felt something hit my horn and a loud ripping noise was heard as something crashed to the trees and more ripping noises were made until it was silent. "G-girls..." I said as shaking and I could see the others were two as the atmosphere had suddenly turn chilly.

We then heard what appears to be growling until it soon became a very angry choking like sounds coming from the bush that was shaking. "P-please tell me that any of you is choking?" Scootaloo asked as we were backing away from the bush. "No." "Nope." We both said as two small blue flames popped out of nowhere and a shadowy looking hand destroyed the bush to reveal what was making the noise.

(Imagine that there are open stitching's on it and black purply mist is coming from the open stitchings.)

"Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!" We all yelled as we ran away from the thing.

Fluttershy pov:

"Girls! Girls!!" I called out as I was carrying (y/n) on my back. "Oh man.... I hope they are ok." (Y/n) said as we heard screaming and the girls zoomed out of nowhere and where behind me. "Girls! There you are. We need to leave! There's something out there." I tried to tell them but they were still screaming. "Just grab them and let's go!"  He/she said as I then heard angry choking sounds. "U-Ummm..... is that?" "No. But still not good." He/she said ad a small figure appeared and was radiating with chilling auras of darkness.

"What is that?" I asked the girls were huddled behind me. "Mimikyu and it doesn't look happy." He/she said as it was slowly.... Umm.... Floating towards us. "It looks like it's disguise got torn. I'm gonna assume that one of you accidentally ripped it." (Y/n) said. "I-I-I did feel something tore from my horn." Sweetie said who was shaking in fear. "Yeah, they take their disguise seriously and they will take revenge if it gets torn." He/she said. "What?!" I yelled at that last part. "You!?" I shouted at it which it stopped and made a confused sound.

"Yes you!? You think just because somepony accidentally tore you disguise and you can attack them then you have another thing young man!?" I yelled as I saw the yellow beads from the body part blink which means that is where it's eyes are. "I have half a mind to tell you mom what you are doing!" I said as it tried to glare at me and I saw a black ball begging to form. "I want you to think about what you gonna do next." I said as I was sporting a frown and I had to used the stare at it.

We were both staring at each other and we were both waiting to see who would do the next move. I continue to stare at and I can see that it's glare was loosening and the ball was beginning to shimmer. "I'll ask you. Do you want to fire that at me." I told it as the ball disappears and it backs away a bit and the dark mist begins to lower until it was small. It then begins to cry. "There, there. You were just a bit mad and you let it control you. But I know you didn't mean it." I said as I pulled it towards me and I gave it a hug.

"Don't worry. I'll fix your disguise." I told it as it's crying begins to die down. "Is it safe?" I heard Scootaloo ask. "Yes. It's safe." I told her as the cmc were slowly walking towards us. "It's.... A lot less scary when it's not angry." Apple bloom said. "Yeah. It's kinda cute." Sweetie said as the mimikyu tilted its fake head which the cmc jumped back a bit. "Al-although that.... Is still Kinda scary a bit." Scootaloo said.

I watched as the cmc was studying the mimikyu which was studying them. "Hey, umm... why does it... wear that?" I asked (y/n). "It wears that to stay away from the sunlight and it also wears it so it can make friends." He/she told me. "Why does it need it to make friends? It doesn't have to wear it at night?" I said. "Unfortunately, it is said that if someone looks at its true form they would mysteriously get ill.... Or die." He/she said which surprised me. "W-wha-wha-what?" I said as a very loud wail was made and Elizabeak ran out of the bushes and ran to me. She, the mimikyu, and the cmc were now huddled around me. "Noooo.... It can't be!" I thought in horror of the wail. "That's the thing that attacked me!? Let's get out of here!" (Y/n) said as I nodded and we all got the heck out of there.

Morning

Your pov:

"Aaaanndddd there. All done." Fluttershy said who had finished repairing mimikyu's disguise which the Pokémon in question was using a bag as a disguise. I was on Fluttershy's couch and I was covered in bandages and had used a makeshift cast for my leg. The cmc were sleeping upstairs because they barley had any sleep last night and after what happened. It was probably for the best that we all get some rest.

"Thanks again for the cast Fluttershy." I said. "No problem. Just try not to walk for a while." Ah man." I said as the door opens as Zecora comes in. "Fluttershy, I was wondering if.... Oh thank goodness, your alive." She said when she saw me. "I could've been killed!?" I said in shock. "The spirit of the everfree is very hostile during new moon's. I was hoping that you were out of the forest by then but... it appears you weren't." She said. "Spirit of the everfree?" Fluttershy said.

"Yes. A hostile spirit that I have seen when I first got here. It haunts the everfree and attacks anything it sees." She told me. "Do you know what it looks like?" I asked her. "No pony has seen it and they only thing I do know that it has a fondness for carrots that are found in the everfree." She told us. "I guess that explains why you dumped the carrots out.I mumbled as I laid my head down and yawned. "I think I need to sleep for a bit." "That's probably a good idea." Fluttershy said as she placed a blanket over me.

Fluttershy pov:

(Y/n) was fast asleep and Zecora was fixing to head out. "I better let Twilight know so she won't worry about where (y/n) is at." She told me. "I'm sure she thank you for that." I said as she was about to leave until I stopped her. "Wait! ....ummm.... You lived in the forest and your familiar with this... spirit.... Do you think.... That it is....." "it is what?" She asked me. "Nothing, I don't remember what I was thinking. Have a good day." I said as I closed the door. I looked at the room which was quiet and the only creature around was the mimikyu who was back in its disguise.

"So..... does this mean.... That Luna.... Was a false Nightmare moon?" I thought as I then sighed and I walked to a chair. "After all these years.... She still haunts the forest." I thought as I felt something snuggle up to me. I open my eyes to see the mimikyu sitting with me. It made some happy clicking noise as it gave me a smiled look. "Thanks.... Ummm.... I think I'll call you....patches." I said as it gave a happy sound. "I shouldn't worry about it right now.... Right now. I need to keep an eye of (y/n) and maybe on day me and my friends and figure this out. One day.... We will beat the real nightmare moon."

The castle of the two sisters

A purple mist surrounds the place as a shadowy equine figure was walking through the place as it then stops and it then rises up and let's put a very loud wail as it then vanishes out of thin air and the mist begins to clear out leaving silence at the abandoned castle.
