Sonic Rainboom

It had been a week since Twilight was trying to study Pinkie's pinkie sense. Currently me, Applejack, Rarity, Pinke, and (m/n) the Morpeko were helping Twilight clean the library after her week long studying of the Pokémon we have encountered. "Last one. Thank you so much for helping me clean up all these books, guys. It was a crazy week of studying." Twilight said.

"No proble-" I was then interrupted as suddenly a light blue and rainbow blur crashed into the place and all chaos broke as of now, the library is now a total mess. "Rainbow Dash, you rock! Woohoo." Fluttershy came in quietly yelling. "Did my cheering do that?" She asked as I looked around the room and everyone is covered by a pile of books. "Sure. Let's go with that." I said as Everyone was recovering from the speeding Pegasus.

Speaking of the Pegasus. "Hehe. Sorry about that ladies/.....And boy. That was a truly feeble performance." She said. "Actually, it wasn't all bad. I particularly liked it when you made the clouds spin." Fluttershy said. "Ugh. I'm not talking about my performance, I'm talking about yours. That feeble cheering!" Rainbow said.

"What are you two arguing about?" Twilight asked. "I think it's more of a one sided argument then a regular argument?" I said. "Were we arguing? I'm sorry." Fluttershy apologized as Rainbow grunted in frustration. "I wish you guys could come to Cloudsdale to see me compete in the Best Young Flyer Competition." She said. "What's that?" I asked. "It's where all the greatest Pegasus flyers get together and show off their different flying styles! Some are fast!" Pinkie said as she somehow makes a car sound going fast. "And some are graceful. Whoa, whoa, whoa!" She said as she was trying to pretend to fly.

"Golly. I'd love to see you strut yer stuff in that competition." AJ said. "Yeah. I wish you guys could be there. Fluttershy's a great support, but her cheering isn't exactly inspirational." Rainbow said. "Ooh! I'd love to see you make a sonic rainboom! It's like, the most coolest thing ever! Even though I've never actually seen it, but I mean come on! It's a sonic rainboom! How not cool could it possibly not be?!" Pinkie said in excitement. "The sonic what now?" I asked in confusion.

"You really need to get out more." Pinkie said to me. "What?!" I yelled. "Yeah, The sonic rainboom is legendary! When a Pegasus like Rainbow Dash gets going sooo fast... Boom! A sonic boom and a rainbow can happen all at once!" She said. "That doesn't sound possible. Although I now live in a world filled with magic and talking ponies, so what do I know." I said. "Well, I only did it once and I was just a filly at the time." Rainbow told me. "Do you think you can do it again?" I asked. "Are... you kidding? I'm the greatest flyer to ever come out of Cloudsdale! I could do sonic rainbooms in my sleep." Rainbow awkwardly said as first but quickly changed to confident.

"Wow. If you pull that off, you'll win the crown for sure!" Twilight said. "The grand prize is an entire day with the Wonderbolts. A whole day of flying with my lifelong heroes... It'll be a dream come true!" Rainbow said as Fluttershy quietly cheered. "I'm gonna go rest up. Don't wanna over prepare myself, y'know. Hehe. You, on the other hand, better keep practicing. I need a cheering section to match my spectacular performance." Rainbow said as she left.

"She's practiced that move a hundred times, and she's never even come close to doing it. I don't know if I can cheer loud enough to help her." Fluttershy said as she also leaves. "We'll go on." Rarity said to Twilight. "Go on what?" She asked. "Find a spell that will get us wingless ponies into Cloudsdale. Didn't you see how nervous she was?" Rarity said. "Nervous? Have you spit yer bit or somethin'? She was tootin' her own horn louder than the brass section of a marching band!" AJ said.

"Oh, puh-lease. I have put on enough fashion shows to recognize stage fright when I see it. We've got to find a way to be there for her. Now go on!" Rarity said as Twilight was searching through the cluster of books. "How am I supposed to find a flight spell in this mess?" She asked. "Morpei!" (M/n) said while holding the book. "Good job (m/n)!" Pinkie said as Twilight was searching through the spell book. "Here it is! A spell that will allow Earth ponies to fly for three days. Ooh, it looks really difficult... I'm not sure I can do it." She said in uncertainty. "You can do it." I said.

"Okay... But who's gonna volunteer to be the test subject?" She asked us which we didn't know how this was gonna go until Rarity says. "I will! For Rainbow Dash, I will go first." After that it was time for Twilight to do her spell.

Time skip

It's the day that we would go and cheer rainbow and we were gonna surprise her. Luckily the spell that Twilight put on Rarity worked but it put a lot of work and so she found an easier spell which allows us to walk on clouds without having to have wings. Although it would be cool to have one like Rarity.

"I... I can't believe it!" Rainbow yelled in surprise as the hot air balloon landed on the cloud. "This is so cool! You guys made it!" She said. "Sure did!" Pinkie said as she jumped off the balloon scaring Rainbow a bit until Pinkie touches the cloud without falling. "How'd you do that? Only Pegasus ponies can walk on clouds." She asked in confusion. "I found a spell that makes temporary wings, but it was too difficult to do more than once. So I found an easier spell that lets the rest of us walk on clouds." Twilight explained.

"And we came to cheer you to victory!" "I tried to find a plusle and minun or even a pom-Pom style Oricorio. So I brought (m/n)." "Morpei!" She said as she jumped onto the cloud and I followed suit. "Holy smokes, this is awesome!" I thought to myself in excitement of actually touching a cloud. "It's sooooo soft." I said. "Thanks guys.... And to be honest, was starting to get just the teeniest, tiniest bit nervous. But I feel a lot better now that you guys are here. Hey, we've got some time before the competition. Why don't Fluttershy and I show you around Cloudsdale?" Rainbow said as we all said "Yes!/Morpei!"

Time skip

We had just reached to Cloudsdale which began Rainbow's tour. "Here it is: the greatest city in the sky!" She said as we were admiring the awesome looking city of the clouds. "Cloud city, eat your heart out." I said in awe as Rarity was still flying and was admiring herself in the mirror. "Uhh... Some of the greatest Pegasi in history came from Cloudsdale!" Rainbow said as we were now on the move and as we were moving a bunch of Pegasus we're admiring her wings.

"Be careful with those wings, Rarity. They're made from gossamer and morning dew, and they're incredibly delicate." Twilight said. "Yeah, you don't want to end up like Icarus." I added. "Who?" AJ asked. "It's a character in a old story whose father made some wings to escape a prison and the kid flew high in the sky and his wings melted and then he drowned." I explained. "What a.... Sad story...." She said as I shrugged. "Hey! Uh.... Who wants to see the weather factory?" Rainbow asked which we agreed and we were off to the factory.

Another Time skip

We had just reached the factory which were required to a wear weather suits and a helmet for protection. "This is where they make the snowflakes. Each one is hoofmade. As you can see, it's a delicate operation." Rainbow said as we can see different Pegasus looking at snowflakes, but the snowflakes were blown away due to Rarity's wings. "We better move on before Rarity ruins winter and causes a drought." Rainbow said as we left the snowflake division.

We then reached a place we're Rainbow's are being made. "And here's where they make the rainbows!" Rainbow said as Pinkie and (m/n) walked up to a rainbow and licked it until they were now breathing fire. "Spicyyyyyy!..." "Morpeiiii!...." They both said as me and AJ were laughing. "Hahahaha.... S-s-so much.... For tasting the rainbow! Hahahahahaha!!...." I said while laughing. "Yeah, rainbows aren't really known for their flavor." I heard rainbow said as a bunch of ponies were admiring Rarity's wings.

This unfortunately had only made Rainbow more nervous and Twilight did try to remind what we were doing here but unfortunately, the wings have her and have blinded her with admiration. This soon resulted in one Pegasus telling Rarity to enter the competition which freaked Rainbow out.

Time skip

It was time for the competition and the five of us minus ,Rainbow, Rarity, and (m/n), were at the stadium seats preparing to cheer for rainbow. I let (m/n) go with Rainbow to hopefully calm her nerves and since she was the only one that can go to the back with the other flyers. "Fillies and gentlecolts! Please rise and join me in welcoming our beloved Princess Celestia!" The announcer said through a cloud microphone?.... What?.... Anyway Celestia then flies down along with two guards as the land on a cloud and there was a lot of cheering and horn playing.

"Please welcome our celebrity judges for the Best Young Flyer Competition: the Wonderbolts!" The announcer said as the Wonderbolts flew in and landed on a cloud which received another loud cheering. "Gahh!!... man that was loud!" I said through the loud cheering. "And now, let's find out who will take the prize as this year's best young flyer!"

Rainbow pov:

"Oh man.... I'm not sure I can do this! I don't know if I can do this." I thought as I was sitting in the back and (m/n) was next to me. "Morpei." She said as she patted my front left leg. "Thanks (m/n). But I'm not sure if I can do this?" "Morpei!" She said. "Maybe you are right. I can do this!" I said with determination. "Okay, number two, let's go." I heard one of the employees called. "Nope! Can't do this!" I said as I switched the number card with another Pegasus and I can hear (m/n) sighing. "Don't judge me. I mean.... I will be going out next."

Your pov

We had been watching many Pegasus flying but not one of them was rainbow or rarity. "I wonder when they are gonna come out?" I asked. "I'm sure they'll be coming out soon." Twilight said as the announcer then called out. "And now, for our final competitor of the day, contestant number fifteen! Uhh... And apparently contestant number four..." then classical music started playing. We then saw Rarity and rainbow fly out. "Oh! Their starting." I said as they begin their performance.

I watched Rainbow's performance and at first her nerves have been showing as she messes up a bit, but she's getting better on the second run and she was soon fixing to do her final act until I then heard Rarity was flying to the sky. "Look upon me, Equestria, for I... am... Rarity!" She yelled as the crowd cheers until her wings burst into flames and she was now falling. "Rarity!?" I yelled as I was about to jump when Twilight stopped me. "You don't have wings what are you gonna do?!" She asked in panic as I saw the wonderbolts were chasing after her.

"She's right! I can't do anything to help without wings! Hopefully the Wonderbolts can- and they are knocked out." I thought as I saw them get knocked out by Rarity and I saw Rainbow zooming down to save them. "Come on... come on..." I said as I was hitting my hooves until. "BOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!" I very loud boom was made as rainbow just broke the sound barrier and a rainbow blast appeared as rainbow going so fast that she had managed to catch Rarity and the Wonderbolts. Me and the other four were jaw dropped amazed as Fluttershy was cheering like a mad pony.

Time skip

The eight of us were at the hot air balloon so that Rarity wouldn't fall. "I want to apologize to all of you for getting so carried away with my... beautiful wings. I guess I just lost my head." Rarity said. "Don't worry about it. It would've happen to anyone." I said. "And I'm especially sorry that I was so thoughtless as to jump into the contest at the last minute after you had worked so hard to win it. Can you ever ever forgive me?" She asked rainbow. "Aw, it's okay. Everything turned out all right, right? I just wish I could have met the Wonderbolts when they were awake." She said as I saw the Wonderbolts and the princess walking towards us. "You may want to turn around." I said which she was confused but still turned around and then she went whole fan girl.

"So you're the little pony who saved our lives. We really wanted to meet you, and say thanks." One of the Wonderbolts said to rainbow who was still geeking out. "Hello, Twilight Sparkle, and hello to your friends too." Celestia said as she greeted us. "Princess Celestia, I am sorry I ruined the competition. Rainbow Dash here really is the best flyer in Equestria." Rarity said to her. "I know she is, my dear. That's why, for her incredible act of bravery and her spectacular sonic rainboom, I'm presenting the grand prize for Best Young Flyer to this year's winner, Miss Rainbow Dash!" She said as the crowd cheers. "Oh yeah... we are still at the stadium." I thought as Rainbow was now in geek out mode alpha. "I think you just broke her." I jokingly said.

"It appears so." Celestia said as she was walking to Twilight to probably to catch up. I then walked up to rainbow who was still geeking out until I clapped my hooves near her ears surprising her. "Gahhh!!! Don't do that!" She said in annoyance. "Sorry, but you were stuck in geek out mode." I said teasingly. "I'm not a geek." She grumbled. "So did (m/n) cheered you up?" I asked her. "A little bit. But she did help me a bit. Even when she kept sighing." She mumbled that last part. "But hey! Now you can hang out with..." I said as I saw her smile slowly. "Yep! If you need me. I'll be with the Wonderbolts." She said as she went off with the wonderbolts.

"There she goes..." I said. "Morpei." (M/n) said who was next to me. "So..... want to explore the city?" "Morpei!" "Yeah!" I said as the two of us were off to explore the city.

The mane 6 as dragons would be cool or should I saw the dragon six.
