For the last 30 minutes I am here trying to sleep.

Keyword: trying.

Fine I agree. I am scared right now.

You know first of all I am scared and on top of that it's raining outside with the loud thunder.

Hey consy don't you think that it's some horror movie scene.

And I thought you were scared. But here you are joking.

Hell yes I am. Consy I think someone is standing behind me. Maybe it's the doll. Oh consy save me.

I told you not to watch the movie. Now you are acting wierd.

Sorry I won't ever watch horror movies again.

Oh God why does this girl always repeat herself.

Then suddenly I heard a loud thunder. I screamed and ran out of the room.

My only knight in the shining armor right now is Alexander Knight.

I ran towards his room and started banging the door.

"Xander please open the door. Xander I am going to die. She is going to kill me."

Such a drama queen.

"XANDER." I yelled and finally he opened the door.

Without looking anywhere I ran inside his room and sat on the bed covering myself with the blanket.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Have you gone crazy screaming on top of your voice at 2 am in the morning." He said in an extremely irritated tone. He was sweating and breathing heavily.

Why is he sweating so much? I am damn sure he was sleeping. Does people sweat in their sleep nowadays? But I don't. I know I am unique but still this is strange.

"Are you okay? You are sweating." I asked.

"It's none of your business. Ev go back to your room."

I shook my head. "I am scared."

"Don't tell me you are like those girls who get scared of just the thunder."

"It's not the thunder I am scared of. It's-" wait if I tell him he'll make fun of me. I bit my lower lip and shut my mouth.

"It's what?" he asked raising his eyebrow.

"Nothing I just don't want to sleep there." He came closer stood in front of me with hands in his sweats pocket.

"If you don't tell me what it is then I will leave the room and you can sleep here all alone. Do you want that to happen?"

I widened my eyes. "HELL NO." Quickly getting off the bed I held his hand so that he cannot leave the room.

"Then tell me." he demanded.

"Umm.. actually I watched a horror movie today and on top of that the thunder it's scaring me and I am not able to sleep alone."

"Are you serious Ev? You know that you are scared of horror movies still you watched it. And what are you a kid who is scared of some movie. Why are you so immature?" He was scolding me. I am scared and he is scolding me. Great!

"It wasn't just some movie it was a horror movie. Fine. I am really sorry Mr. Alexander Knight to disturb your lovely sleep. Not that I'll die if I sleep alone and you are not my Dad to scold me like that. Even my Dad has never scolded me like that." I was making my way outside really angry with what he just said.

Asshole.

As I passed him he held my arm and said "Go sleep."

"If you don't leave my hand then how can I go."

"Not in your room. Sleep here."

"I think I will be alive if I do not sleep one night. So no thanks."

"I am in no mood to fight with you at 2 am in the morning. So just go and sleep."

"No I am-"

"Ev don't make me more angry." He looked really pissed so I decided to not make him more. I went to the bed and laid on the right side. Xander came back after closing the door and laid on the left side his back facing me.

Thud.

I closed my eyes tightly grabbing on to the blanket tightly.

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

Oh No!

I moved to Xander's side a little and held his t-shirt tightly closing my eyes.

"What are you doing?" he asked turning towards me. Before I could say anything again Thud.

I hid my face on his chest tightly holding his t-shirt. He sighed and pulled me more closer to him. His one arm was resting on my waist and the other one was caressing my hair.

"Close your eyes and sleep. I am here Ev." In his arm I felt safe, protected, relieved. His hold was tight on my waist. I have never felt like this before. I hope this night never ends and we just stay like this in each other's arm.

When sunlight hit my face I closed my eyes tightly once before opening them and the first thing I saw was the most beautiful morning view. Xander.

He was sleeping peacefully still holding me in his arms. He looks so handsome. I was starring at him and smiling. I moved my face a little close to him.

What the hell are you trying to do?

A kiss wouldn't harm right? I mean he will not be able to know I'll be quick. Just one peck.

You love getting yourself into problems. Don't you?

I ignored her and brought my face closer to his. I could hear his light snoring. I closed my eyes and just when I was about to kiss him "Stop whatever you are doing Ev."

My eyes widened. OH FUCK! He was awake all this time.

Huh! I tried to warn you but you being you, you will never listen to me.

He then opened his eyes and looked at me once. I gulped. I am sure my face has turned red by now.

I am so dead.

"Taking advantage of a sleeping man. Are we Ev?" he said in his hoarse morning voice. God his morning voice is also sexy.

"I-I wasn't t-taking a-advantage."

"Oh really then why were you pouting bringing your lips close to mine."

"I-I have t-to go." I ran to my room closing my door leaning against it.

This is so embarrassing. Ev breathe. Breathe. Calm down.

After brushing my teeth I went downstairs. I and Xander ate breakfast together. I did not dare to look at him. I could feel him smirking all the time we were having breakfast.

While eating the breakfast my phone buzzed I took my phone from the aisle and saw the caller id it was Blake. Why is he calling? Maybe to tell about the date night of his and Rose. I excitedly got down my stool leaving the breakfast and Xander there I ran to the living room to pick up the call.

"Hey." He said.

"Hello. I thought I would get to know about the date from you first but Rose already told me." I answered.

"Okay I really wanted to tell you everything first. Anyways Eveline Knight you are freakin' amazing." He shouted.

"Oh believe me I know that. I am so happy for both of you. Next time she does something like this again I swear I'll kill her."

"Wo wo wo girl calm down. You are telling her boyfriend that you will kill her." He chuckled.

"Thank you so much Eveline. I mean it."

"Welcome Mr. Simon. Now I have to go Bye."

"Ya bye."

Spending the day by reading magazines and chatting. I finally decided to go and talk to Xander for sometime. I am not used to this silence.

I made coffee to light up his mood and went to his favorite place 'his office.'

I knocked the door and entered. He was busy doing his work. I kept starring at him. This was the first time I have seen him wearing glasses.

Is he for real? How can someone look equally handsome with and without glasses? How is he so perfect?

"Don't you think that these days you stare at me a lot." He said without even looking at me.

"I-I've brought coffee for you." He raised his eyes to look at me and that look if looks could kill you know the rest.

"Why?"

"I thought you were working since morning so you might need this." I went towards his desk and kept the coffee there.

I saw a file on his desk. A name caught my eyes 'Blake Simon.' I picked up the file and asked him in excitement "You are doing a partnership with Blake?" if this is true then there would be less problem for Blake to tell Xander about him and Rose. WOW!

Xander looked up. "No I am not." He said a bit irritated.

"But here it's written Blake Simon."

"Is there my name in that file?" I again went through the file then I found out that it wasn't him but his Dad.

"It's your Dad. But you have the company now so you would do the partnership right?"

"No I won't. This is the reason why I asked for the file. To terminate it."

"Xander that would cause a huge damage to Simon Corporation." Is he serious? He can't do that.

"Do you think I care?"

"You don't but I do."

"Why?"

"Because I work there."

"Or because it's Blake." he said bitterly.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"Xander I can't understand. What are you trying to say?"

He scoffed and got up from his chair. Now he was standing right in front of me with both hands in his pockets.

"Don't play that innocent game with me Ev. I am not one of those people who you can trick easily with this act of yours."

"Xander if I did something wrong then tell me. Why are you being like this?"

"I don't want to talk Ev just leave."

He was going back to his seat when I stopped him.

"You can't always run away from things. Just tell me what is it." I yelled.

He turned around and marched towards me. Within seconds he pinned me to the wall. His both hands had a tight grip on my wrist. I looked at his eyes they were dark. He clenched his jaw.

"Eveline I have already warned you once that you will never raise your voice at me. I am not going to tolerate your nonsense."

"Then tell me what did I do." I asked looking straight in his eyes. I was scared as hell but still I wanted to know the reason why he was so angry. He didn't say anything for a minute then he pushed me out of the room slamming the door on my face.

I ran to room. Burying my face on the pillow I cried my heart out.

I thought everything was perfect between us.

I even thought that we can be together.

I thought that I could change him.

But I was so wrong.

Why is he like this? He always does this first he acts nice to me and the next moment he is a complete different person.

I didn't realize while crying when did I drifted to sleep.

Next morning it was hunger that woke me up as I skipped the dinner last night and chose to cry. I dressed up for my office and went downstairs where Maria was cooking.

She looked at me and smiled. She served me my breakfast and I ate it. I knew that it was still a little early so Xander wouldn't come down. Knowing that I was relieved that I will not have to face Mr. Arrogant Knight.

After I was done eating I went to the kitchen and made the coffee for him. Normal coffee.

Note: normal coffee without any design.

"Maria I have to leave early for work so please give this to him." I said with a smile. She nodded. When I went to the office I saw Scott he was going to enter the elevator when he saw me. He looked at me and was about to step back. "Scott it's okay you can come in."

"Ev this time I swear it's really a coincidence. I didn't do it on purpose." He entered and was trying to defend himself.

"Scott it's okay. Actually I wanted to apologize to you for that day. I am really sorry I was angry that day and I took all my anger out on you. I am sorry."

"Oh it's okay. I mean we are fine now right?"

"Yep."

"Oh that's a relief." He sighed putting one hand on his chest. I laughed at his action.

The office was normal with Cass coming and disturbing me all the time. After the office hours were over I went back home had my dinner then went to my room. I really don't want to face him. So it's better if I stay in my room only. I am sick and tired of his mood swings.
