: Chapter 74
The Alpha King’s Heart: The King’s Mate
Adiraâs POV
I finished packing for my trip in a small black suitcase I was carrying tomorrow when the bedroom door opened and Wyatt walked in. I stood up to greet him with a soft kiss but he deepened it. My stomach somersaulted and suddenly, he attacked my neck with his delicious lips. I felt excitement grow in my stomach. He carried me in his arms and I wrapped my legs around his waist.
He sat down with me in his arms and I moved my body closer to him eagerly. His kisses were more intense and I felt pressure between my legs. His hand wrapped around my breast and he gently caressed them.
âAdira,â his tongue explored mine. Wyatt was ravishing me with his tongue and as he did, my voice was getting louder and louder. He switched our position and pulled down my leggings along with my thong gently. I felt his tongue deep in my pussy and I gasped, aching my hips, â Hhm,â
He fucked me with his tongue, pleasure and desire continued to build in me and I gripped his hair tightly, making him groan.
âOh, yes,â I breathed as I pressed my hips against him.
âMore, more,â I cried, and he moved faster. He was a really talented man. I screamed as I orgasmed. My mate was still sucking and licking me. Fuck, he was hot. I was breathing heavily while he smirked, satisfied. I blushed at the way he was looking, and to avoid that, I quickly got in an upright position and pulled down his pants. I looked at his massive erection and wrapped my fingers around it. I stroked his dick and he let out a pleasurable moan. I took his tip in my mouth all while stroking it. My head bobbed faster as I continued and he moaned. Wyatt thrust in my mouth and I moved my head to meet his pace. My tongue was twirling around his cock.
âOh fuck, Adira,â he was thrusting harder and deeper. His hand held the back of my head. I was gagging as he hit the back of my throat. He released in my mouth and I swallowed, licking his shaft. He helped me up and he kissed my lips deeply, without a care that I had his semen all over my mouth.
We lay in bed and I snuggled against him. My stomach was still doing backflips when I thought about how happy he made me.
âTomorrow morning, Iâll go to the palace to deal with something and Iâll meet you at the airstrip, is that alright?â
âWhat do you have to deal with?â I yawned, fighting back sleep.
âDonât worry about it,â he kissed the top of my head and I nodded, letting sleep take over me.
The following morning I got ready and went downstairs. Wyatt left early for the palace and will meet me at the airstrip.
âCan I come with you?â Chloe asked.
âIâll be back soon, â I said with a smile. The servants all wished me a safe flight and the driver opened the door for me.
In twenty minutes we arrived there and I was directed to wait in a large waiting area that was made of glass. I waited for about an hour, what was taking Wyatt so long? I stood up and paced the room, just hoping that he would show up soon.
âWhy are you so nervous?â Kira asked.
âWe are going back to our pack, should I remind you what happened?â I sneered.
âYou are going back as a different wolf, an alpha female, and the kingâs consort,â she said confidently. Still, I couldnât calm my nerves. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I abruptly turned, hoping it was Wyatt but I wasnât. I frown, â What are you doing here?â
âWasnât expecting you to be merry in my presence but didnât expect that look either,â Azriel grumbled.
âHello, Azriel,â I smiled tightly. â I just wasnât expecting you here,â
I looked over his shoulder, hoping Wyatt would appear but he didnât, â Rachel is sick, and Wyatt rushed her to the hospital,â he said, sitting on the large sofa comfortably.
âWhat happened?â I asked.
âAre you worried about her?â he smirked and I kicked his leg.
âThe woman is carrying your nephew,â I barked.
âWhy is everyone so sure that itâs male?â he wondered. I sat next to him. Rachel said it so much that I started to believe it. I only looked away.
âIt was probably just a ploy to keep Wyatt by her side,â Azriel said. I grabbed my phone and called Wyatt but he didnât answer on the first or second ring, when he did, I went straight to ask,
âAre we going?â He exhaled and I knew his answer.
âBabe, Rachel is unwell,â he said softly.
âWyatt, it hurts,â I heard Rachel Tarion whimper in the background. I rolled my eyes and held my breath, waiting for what heâll say next.
âCan we cancel and go next week, the doctor said we should observe her for a few days,â his voice filled with regret. I felt tears well in my eyes but nodded.
âSure,â
âAdira Iâm so-â I ended the call before he could finish his sentence. Goddess knows I didnât want to sound immature and selfish but the truth is that I was feeling insecure now and as much as I tried to not feel this way, my emotions couldnât be helped because this is how it will be subsequently.
âIâll drive you home,â Azriel said and nodded, standing up. He helped me with my bag and I followed him out, I stopped and looked at Wyattâs plane, deciding to go in its direction.
âAdira!â Azriel hollered, but I didnât stop. Three employees smiled at me and bowed.
âMy lady, I just spoke to the kingâs beta and he said you canceled the trip,â he said respectfully.
âNo, Iâm going alone. Can you tell the pilot?â
They glanced amongst each other, looking unsure and their eyes went to Azriel, when he nodded, they dispersed.
âWyatt wonât like this,â he commented.
âAnd youâd love it, wonât you?â
âIâd enjoy it, indeed,â he nodded.
âAnything to Vex your brother,â I sighed
âIâm going with you,â he said. Wyattâs POV
I was in my office doing some last-minute work before I go to meet Adira at the airstrip when Rachel entered the office,
âGet out!â I barked at her, she frowned and dropped some files on my table.
âBe nice to me, King Wyatt, Itâs not good for the child to be surrounded by that angry aura,â she said gently. I only glared at her.
âI heard youâre leaving the pack again,â she said, folding her arms against her chest. My eyes fell on her stomach, I could now hear the heartbeat of a child in there, and she was beginning to show. I experienced a strange feeling Iâd never in my chest. It was pleasing.
âIn less than five months, youâve left the Diamond royal city twice!â she bewildered, â King Wyatt, this is dangerous, what happens when thereâs another attack,â
âI think my men are more than capable of defending the city, Rachel, now if you have nothing more to say, please leave,â
My people and Alphas were more than capable of defending their packs and we strengthen security in all areas again.
âWhat about me?!â she asked.
âWhat about you what?â I snarled and she touched her stomach.
âIâm carrying your future heir in my belly, donât you think Iâll be a target of attack?â
âHeir,â I repeated. The dark wolves are after my position and will get rid of anyone who stands in the way, including a child but Rachel is safe as no one knows sheâs carrying my child.
âIâm giving you a son, Iâm confident,â she said, rising her head to meet my eyes.
âOkay,â I didnât want to discuss further so I just agreed.
âSo, what happens to me now that youâre going?â she asked and I was getting frustrated with her now.
âAs discussed, donât go anywhere without your assigned security and stay in the palace or your house, in your pack,â I shrugged. I moved past her but she gripped my hand and doubled over in pain. Worry instantly took over and asked,
âWhatâs wrong,â
âI feel pain in my stomach. Itâs terrible, Wyatt,â she whimpered. I carried her in my arms and rushed her to her suite.
âCall the doctor to Rachelâs room,â I mind-linked Aspen.
âIs she alright?â
âNo, just do as I said, no, Iâll just take her to the hospital,â I said, turning around and going to another wing. Rachel was crying in my arms, gripping her stomach when she suddenly went limp.
I got to the palace clinic and professionals immediately surrounded me, followed by her doctor.
âMy king, what happened,â he asked as I placed her on the bed.
âShe was in pain,â
The doctor started examining her, and I sat on the sofa outside the room. Soon, Richard was here. He bowed and greeted me politely. I checked the time and realized Iâd kept Adira waiting for an hour now, I stood up to leave, however, Richard spoke.
âYou canât leave her alone, King Wyatt,â
âI have an appointment, the doctors are more than capable of taking care of her,â I said coldly.
âWhatâs more important than what the doctor has to say regarding YOUR child,â he said and I sighed, rubbing my forehead. I promised to be there for Rachel. A few minutes later, the door opened.
âIs she alright?â I asked.
âSheâll be alright, but we must keep her here for some hours, and she needs to be observed for the following days to come,â he said.
âIs it normal that she was experiencing pain?â I asked.
âYes, King Wyatt,â he said, the doctors discussed with us the common cause of pain during pregnancy before he left the room. I went in to see Rachel, she was awake now but her skin was pale and she looked frail.
âHow do you feel?â I asked her,
âScared,â she exhaled â Stay with me, please,â she begged.
I checked my time again and my heart twisted knowing how much Adira wanted to learn the truth.
âYou know I have to go,â I said. Rachel was about to cry.
âIâm so scared King Wyatt and you promised to be there for me. Itâs not proper to leave me,â she said.
My phone rang and I checked it, Adira was calling. I answered and told her what happened, I was uneasy the whole time during our conversation. I hated disappointing her. She ended the call, and I tried calling her again but her phone was off.
âIâm sorry, Wyatt, I know you had plans,â Rachel said. I left the room, wanting time from her and her brother.
