chapter 19
Hate
Mark's eyes widened in surprise as Damien introduced him to his team of four men, each with a menacing presence. They were all dressed in black, their faces covered with masks that revealed only their eyes. Mark felt a shiver run down his spine as he looked at each of them, their intimidating aura making him feel like he was in a movie.
"Shadow 1, Shadow 2, Shadow 3, and Shadow 4," Damien said, his voice low and serious. "They're the best in the business, and they're here to help us rescue Liam."
Mark nodded, still trying to process the situation. He had known that Damien was a spy, but he had no idea that he was involved with a team of elite operatives.
As they drove to the location where Liam was being held, Shadow 4 worked his magic on the security cameras, hacking into the system and using the cameras to gather intel on the situation inside the building.
"Okay, I've got eyes on the inside," Shadow 4 said, his voice low and steady. "Martha's organization is having a meeting on the top floor. And...I've found Liam."
Mark's heart skipped a beat as he looked at Shadow 4, his eyes locked on the screen. "How is he?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Shadow 4's expression was grim. "He looks weak and exhausted. We'll need to get him medical attention ASAP."
Damien nodded, his eyes locked on the road ahead. "Shadow 1, prepare your medical equipment. We'll need to move fast once we get inside."
Mark felt a surge of hope as he looked at Damien and his team. They were his only chance of getting Liam back, and he knew that he could trust them with his life.
Mark walked into the building, his gun held firmly in his hand, and his eyes blazing with determination. He shouted for his mother, Martha, and she emerged from a room, flanked by her colleagues.
Martha sneered at Mark, "How did you find us? I know with your limited brains, you can't find this place."
Mark laughed, a cold, calculated sound. "Oh, mother, you're so silly. Give me my husband."
Martha raised an eyebrow, "Or what? You know IÂ can kill you. I was planning to have Rachel kill you on your wedding night, leaving me as the owner of everything your lazy father left you."
Mark's face twisted with hate, but he kept his cool, remembering Damien's advice not to lose control. He smiled, a psycho-like grin spreading across his face.
"You know, mother, you're live on all my social media platforms. I planned that if I don't make it out alive with my husband, at least I'll ruin all your reputations."
Mark's laughter echoed through the room, and Martha's face turned white with rage. She and her colleagues panicked, knowing that they couldn't easily cover up the evidence if it was already live on social media.
The seven members of Martha's organization exchanged nervous glances, their faces pale with fear. They knew that they were in trouble, and that Mark's plan had caught them off guard.
