Chapter 47
Hey Sweetheart
"S-something tasty."
She said and he smiled.
"Of course."
Sameera got off of him and he stood up. Holding her hand he led her to the kitchen.
Sameera couldn't find a place to sit there and she was not feeling so energetic that she could just sit on the counter.
But she squealed when he picked her up and sat her on the counter.
Shrithik was now busy in cooking noodles and Sameera was busy staring him.
Wasn't it too damn romantic? She sat on his lap, he pulled her on his lap, he picked her up and tucked her to the bed, he picked her up and sat her on the counter.
Maybe if she wasn't as tired as she was, she would've been blushing and what not.
When the noodles were fully cooked, Shrithik served it in a bowl and stood in front of her.
She raised her hands to hold the bowl but he swatted her hands away. She made a confused expression and he didn't respond.
Then parting her legs he stood in between them.
It was enough to get her heart racing.
"What are you doing Sh-Shrithik."
She asked and for a split second he looked so hurt.
"I'm......old man. Right?"
He asked and now she couldn't help but smile softly. He was hurt because she didn't call him by his nickname.
Seeing her smile once again, Shrithik's heart warmed.
She lifted her hand up and kept it on his cheek, with her thumb grazing it.
"Of course."
She said and a tear left her eye. How can someone curse a person like him?
Chuckling she wiped the tear off and then asked
"I don't look good when I cry, do I?"
"You look good all the time."
She let out a half laugh-half cry and said
"So should I cry more often?"
And he panicked.
"No! That's not what I meant. Though you really look good when you cry but you should always stay happy and not cry and-"
She cut him off by placing her thumb which was grazing his cheek, on his lower lip.
"Stop talking. Please. If-if you say anymore, I'll cry."
She whispered. His eyes never left hers. She was glowing. Her eyes were glistening, her skin was soft and it looked like she was relieved.
He nodded and started feeding her. This time, a slight blush crept over her face, but it was not visible as she was already in a shade of red from crying.
She was sitting on the counter, he was standing between her legs and feeding her like a child, while talking gibberish.
How can she not blush?
"Come on now. Let's get you to bed."
He said after keeping the bowl in the sink and cleaning her face with a wet cloth.
He has been invisible for many years. At least he knows this much that girls hate pimples and the salt water alias tears can get you that.
He was just about to pick her up when she stopped him.
"I-I can walk."
She said and even a blind person can see how incredibly hurt he was.
"Sure. Will you be okay by yourself?"
"Y-yeah. Good night."
She said and got down the counter.
He gave her a smile in return and made his way to his room along with her.
Sameera entered her room and immediately layed down on the bed. She was extremely tired.
But despite being so tired, she was not going in a deep slumber. Just small naps.
And then the door of her room creaked open.
Shrithik came in with his pillow tucked under his arm.
She plopped herself on her elbow and raised her eyebrows with a confused expression.
He pouted and said
"I wasn't able to sleep. Maybe I was scared. Will you tell me a bedtime story?"
His expressions were so genuine that she couldn't help that small soft smile. He came to her with such a good excuse. Maybe that was the situation of Sameera.
She nodded and he grinned.
Hopping he threw himself on the bed beside her and slipped his hand under her head.
"Have sweet dreams sweetheart."
He said and pecked her forehead and not minutes later they both were asleep.

Shrithik opened his eyes when he felt the weight lift off of his hand.
But when he saw her turning to the other side still asleep, he closed his eyes and slept again.
He again woke up with bright sunlight peeking through the curtains. He groaned and turned towards Sameera to sheild his eyes from the sunlight by her but got up when he found nobody.
There were two duvets, two pillows, the bed was extremely messed up. But she was not there.
Quickly getting off of the the bed he searched the whole house. Both the bathrooms, both bedrooms, the hall, kitchen, he even searched under the bed. Maybe she got a nightmare and hid under the bed.
But she was nowhere to be found.
Pulling his hair he cursed himself. How can he be so irresponsible?
Then the door of the house was slammed open.
He lifted his eyes up to find Sameera. Sweat was covering her and she was wearing her sports shoes. For the dress, she always wears the same thing: a lower and a t-shirt.
"Where the hell were you?"
He asked as soon as she entered the house.
"Uh- there was no milk left. But why are you so hyped up?"
He glared at her.
"Hyped up? You were attacked yesterday and crying like...... like........you were crying so much. I thought that-"
"Oye. Don't think much. I'm totally and completely fine. It was just in the spur of moment that I cried that much. And to be honest-"
She grinned like she normally does
"-I always wanted something like that to happen to me. It was so thrilling, you know. And heroic."
Saying this she swayed near him and smiled mischeviously
"And to give you a proof, I nicely scolded the shopkeeper for using polythene bags. He was like 'okay mam, sorry mam, I'll be cautious, yes mam' and all and all."
Seeing her back to normal bought a smile on his face and he chuckled at that childish expression of hers.
"Okay. That's amazing but you have your college today. Restarting."
He said and she furrowed her brows.
"College? Oh shit! I totally forgot. Thanks old man. You are the best."
She said and ran inside her room.
It was already eight and her classes stared from ten. She has to bath, cook as Shrithik has been cooking for all the 15 days and she had to clean the house too. How was she gonna do that all?
Then she heard him shouting
"Sweetheart!? Where is the broom?"
She awed. So sweet.
Opening the door of her room she threw the broom on him and ran inside the bathroom.
According to Vedic culture, one should not even enter the kitchen without bathing. And she was a strongly religious person.
Quickly bathing she went in the kitchen and cooked a simple bhindi ki sabzi (ladyfinger) and chapatis.
She was just cleaning the kitchen when Shrithik entered, drying his wet hair with a towel and shirtless.
Sameera's mouth hung open. He was sclupted goddamit.
But quickly composing herself, she looked down and started doing what she was doing earlier: cleaning.
Then Shrithik's stomach loudly growled.
He gave her a sheepish smile when she looked at him. In return she couldn't help but smile back too shaking her head.
"Come on! Go sit on the chair I'll bring you something."
She said and he nodded and hopped towards the dining table.
Both of them never acted like adults. Either one of them will be childish or both of them will be. And when both of them are serious, one will treat the other one as a child. And the thing was they both liked it. Getting treated like a child and getting to treat their so important person as a child. It was adorable for both of them.
Serving the food, Sameera placed it in front of him and crouched down a little to get to his level as he was sitting.
"I've cooked for now. And I'll be getting home late so please cook the dinner. And I'm leaving. Bye."
She said and he nodded, not looking up as he was eating. But remembered that he invited those two bastards to apologize to her at 10:00. It was 9:30 and they can come anytime.
He jerked his head up to find her inches away from him.
His breath hitched and he could feel her not breathing too. He looked into her eyes, searching for some sort of terror or sadness but he could find none. She was really fine.
Nobody knows how it happened but soon their noses were touching, but just as they were about to kiss the bell rang and it's shrill sound starteled Sameera and she fell on him.
And unfortunately, their lips didn't touch. Her lips just grazed his neck.
They were once again just inches away and with their noses touching.
Her eyes were set on his rose pink lips. And now she really wanted to kiss them and she leaned towards him but before they could touch once again the bell rang.
Both of them sneered and then snarled
"Who the hell is there to disturb us right now?"
She got off of him and made her way to open the door and spit at the person who disturbed them.
Shrithik was a foot behind her, desperately in need of a cold shower once again, but the possibility of those two bastards being there stopped him from going anywhere.
She slammed the door open and stumbled back when she saw Shourya and his father in front of her. They were there with a bouquet of white roses in both of their hands and she could see their five maids standing with trays in their hands that were covered with neat white clothes.
Shrithik caught her waist when she started walking backwards. So she too knew who wanted her dead.
Sameera looked up at him and he could see that small amount of fear in her eyes. But he could also see her hand reaching for the vase that was kept on the table. She will not hesitate to break it on their heads if tthey say one thing, absurd. Let her life be ruined she didn't care. But in the back of her mind- NO! By her whole existence she knew that her old man would not allow a single hair of her be harmed. Let alone allow her life to be ruined.
He shook his head in no and holding her waist moved her infront of him.
Sameera looked at the two guys in front of them and folded her arms in front of her.
"Yes? Why are you two gentlemen here?"
She spitted. Anger was bubbling up in her and then those two guys replied,
"To apologize."
