I was a bit afraid since it was still broad daylight but if I were to conduct a night robbery it would be harder since the night guards are much more alert than the day guards.

"We are gonna conduct a daylight robbery.....get that?" Reebell said wiggling his eyebrows and I just shook my head.

I put the items that I thought might be useful like a rope, a mask, pair of gloves, a candle, a matchbox and a knife (just in case) into a bag.

"What makes you sure that we robbing the royal treasury would be that easy?"

"It is not easy. Only the king and the people with special permission can enter the barrier around the treasury." He said contemplating something. I looked at him with a 'are you kidding me look'.

"But let's not forget the fact that I am invisible and that the barrier holds nothing against you." He said hurriedly.

"Would they not know that someone stole the amplifier?"

"That amplifier had been hidden away from the world for 627 years. If people knew of its existence a war would break out for its possession. It's highly possible that the king himself doesn't know where it's hidden." I stopped my movements.

"If even the king doesn't know of its existence how am I supposed to know where to find it?"

"With the help of that." He said pointing to the blue healing crystal. "Besides being a healer it can also sense other objects that contain the power of God. Since the mana amplifier is an object given by gods to the first emperor, the crystal will start to glow when you come near it. The more the glow the closer you are."

"Hmmm...." I nodded. At least Reebell thought it through.

Since I already told Vera not to disturb me for today, so everything's set. I used the secret door to go outside. While on my way I saw delicious foods being cooked on the stalls and I remembered that I had not eaten but I was so nervous that if I ate anything I would puke it out.

When we came up to the palace we decided to ignore the main gate since it was heavily guarded. There was a sidewall around the palace that had only two guards roaming around now and then.

"Go inside to check the area." I whispered to reebell while setting myself up to climb the wall. It was a brick wall and had many grooves for me to climb

"There is a guard at some distance but he is facing away. We would be safe if you don't make any noise." I put on my gloves and started climbing. My stealth skills from my last life were coming very handy. It was one of the many things that Victor (Brother from past life) taught me.

I slowly reached the top and started climbing back down on the other side. After reaching a safe distance from the ground, I jumped on the grass, my feet not making a sound.

On the sound of the slight crunching of dried leaves coming from somewhere close, I quickly ran towards a building that did not look very well maintained. It looked like this place had not taken care of and was about to fall down any second. I entered the building slowly and sighed in relief when I heard no one.

I climbed to the top floor and entered a room that looked like a bedroom.

It looks old but it still looks like someone is using this building. I climbed on the bed since it was near the window and looked outside.

"Look what I found." Reebell said showing me a pair of old-style binoculars.

"Why are you snooping around in someone else's room?"

"Stop being so righteous, when we are here to steal in the first place." He grumbled.

Well, he was right.

I took the binoculars and looked outside towards the building that held the treasury. Through the windows of the treasury hallway, I could see many guards roaming. I decided to look around the room for some other helpful items.

"Hey open this. It is protected by a barrier." Reebell said pointing to a small cabinet.

I opened the cabinet and I knew that luck was on my side. It was filled with chemicals. I did have a science major in high school so I could put these chemicals to good use. I got my whole plan figured out.

I mixed a few chemicals to form a short-term memory loss potion. Yup it was possible in this world.

There was a secret passage leading to the treasury in the book, but it could only be opened from the inside. In the story, Jabari opened the door and had his people rob the treasury empty so that the army would have a lack of finances when he rebelled.

I put the potion into an empty bottle and put the binoculars in my bag since I might need them later.

I started making my way out when I crashed into the door frame and fell butt first on the ground.

"How can you crash into it when there is such a huge entryway for you?" Reebell said shaking his head hopelessly.

I quickly got up brushed my clothes and collected the items that I dropped and we made our way out.

"Once I give you a signal you are gonna light a fire in the garden below the Treasury. Make sure a lot of smoke rises. Make it look like an accident. Since you can't enter the treasury due to the barrier, you will meet me in the forest behind the palace." I said as I walked quickly but quietly.

I hid behind the bushes, pulled the binoculars out and tried to find a sleeping guard.

Looks like no one sleeps on duty. Then I would have to use another method.

I followed a guard until he was alone and then used my super skills to knock him out.

"Cool" Reebell said clapping. Looks he is enjoying this whole ordeal a bit too much.

I force-fed him the memory potion and then stripped him.

You heard me, folks. I stripped him but it was in no way romantic. I just needed his jacket and pants. I stuffed my clothes in my bag and wore the royal guard uniform. The uniform was a bit oversized but I don't think anyone would have the time to look at me during the commotion.

"Now" I said and reebell flew off in the direction of the garden.

Soon huge clouds of black smoke started rising and the whole palace went into an alarm.

"It's an attack. They are trying to block our vision. Everyone stay away from the smoke. I took the opportunity and entered the building and made my way toward the treasury.

No one noticed because I was wearing a guard's uniform and was able to blend in with the crowd. When I reached the door I opened it hoping that it would not trigger an alarm. But it was as easy as opening the door to my bedroom.

When I closed the door all the sounds drowned out and it was complete silence. The treasury was filled with many different and rare items and diamond statues along with a heap of gold coins and random gems laying in a corner. A blue light started coming from my chest and I pulled the crystal that that hanging from my neck out.

I looked around to see the room contained other godly objects and silently cursed.

"How am I supposed to know where is the item I need." I held the crystal in my hand and focused my thoughts on the mana amplifier. Thankfully the crystal stopped glowing. I toured around the room and stopped in front of the large heap.

So it's in this heap?? Wow, the rare item sure is being given a nice treatment.

I jumped into the pool of gold and started adorning myself with the weird-looking accessories.

Suddenly the crystal started glowing a dark blue colour and I shook the childish behaviour and searched the heap. I found a ring and when I brought it closer to crystal it glowed a midnight blue colour before going back to its original blue swirls.

I looked closer at the ring. It was a silver or probably platinum ring with a gold lining and a white gem in the middle.

I kept the ring in my bag and moved toward an old picture frame. I looked at the beautiful picture that belonged to the first empress of the nation. Gliding my hands on the intricate design of the frame I pulled open the left bottom corner and a lever popped up. Sliding the lever down the picture moved to the side leaving way for one person to enter at a time.

I changed into my own clothes and kept the current ones in the bag. I was about to exit but stopped. Going back I put two handfuls of gold coins in my bag. These will help me when I am thrown out.

Once I entered the passageway the door closed again. I was super scared because the passage had not been used for a long time. I pulled the candle and lit it with the matchsticks and make my way out.

When I came out I saw that it opened in a cave.

"Reebell where are you?" I yelled.

"Here." I saw him flying towards me at full speed so he had to bump into me to stop himself.

"Did you find it?" He asked excitedly. I nodded and showed him the ring. After analyzing the ring he gave me a toothy grin showing his approval.

"We can continue once we get home." I said and placed the guard's clothes on the stone floor and lit them on fire.

This chapter would be a bit messed up since I added and deleted things constantly. I know that it would not be that easy to rob a royal palace so please don't criticise. But let's not forget that Reebell is invisible to other people and barriers don't work on Alexander.
