Chapter: 19

"Baby, how are you doing", the empress walked up to her elegantly with smile brimming on her face . Feeling warm by her motherly welcome Evelyn was a bit awkward what to do or how to say.

She was very grateful that the empress still treated her the same. She knew even if she sometimes had given up hope on transforming into human. These people never stopped believing in her.

She wasn't sure where she would be in the future now that she could turn to her original form but she wanted to repay them for their kindness.

[Author's ramble:Little eve you should worry how you'll get out of bed in the future (*´∇')ﾉ]

The empress was about to hold her when Evelyn was suddenly pulled back and fell into a warm embrace. The familiar scent of forest engulfed her and she looked up to see Alexander's slightly pretentious smile.

"You're certainly well informed, mother" Alexander smiled but did not let Evelyn out of his embrace.

Evelyn blushed and elbowed him to let go but he just looked at her with his usual cold eyes as serene as a lake.

"You brat, are you already monopolizing her", The empress showed a bit dissatisfaction by not being able to hold the cute girl. All panther descendents were tall and huge.

So seeing this doll like soft girl the empress's hand itched. She really wanted to hug this soft milk bun.

Alexander's lazy and languid dark eyes conveyed a predator’s ease.Rosary was happy but she put O a stren face and commanded, "We need to talk Alex. So come to me after your walk".

Not wanting to see the poker face of her son the empress looked at Evelyn for the last and smiled, " Take care dear. You still have to practice your pheromones to fully stabilize it".

Evelyn nodded dazedly not understanding this mother and son's exchanges.

The empress turned around and left. While walking she sighed. "Your highness, it seems the crown prince also shares the same trade as the emperor", Anna the empress's exclusive maid said helplessly.

Rosary thought about her possessive husband. Sigh! It can only be blamed for the little rabbit's bad luck. This son of her was even more protective of the girl then she initially thought.

"Certainly, Anna. However, this might be a good thing in this case. Evelyn is too naive and doesn't know the difficulties of humans".Rosary said thinking of her pure pink eyes.

The empress smiled, " Well, it's not our lose. Haha our daughter in law is too adorable ".

Anna looked at the empress who was smiling broadly like a fox who stole the chicken. She got goosebumps, 'This whole family had some screws missing'.

In the afternoon~

Alexander was sitting face to face with his mother and a stone faced man with similar traits as him sat beside her.

He was the emperor, the current head of the Black Panther clan. A middle aged intimidating man with exceptionally handsome features.

However at this time, this very man was carefully peeling oranges and fed the woman beside him with a gentle smile. Alexander was used to seeing his parents lovey dovey relationship.

However, today he just wanted to quickly end this and go back to his cute little bunny. "What did you want to say, hurry up".

" Alexander , is this any way to talk to your mother? ", The emperor's cold voice sounded . Alexander just shrugged.

" Father, you know when it comes to our mates, we male panther are tenacious beyond your wildest imagination. You also know this from experience right ", Alexander said calmly.

"Well...... I suppose you're right. Sigh! So what do you plan to do", The emperor said. His blond hair gleamed against the setting sun with the same dark blue eyes as his.

Leaning against the sofa, Alexander said, " Of course, I want to marry Eve". Rosary had already guessed this out come so she wasn't surprised.

The minister's and nobles have been pestering Alexander to get married, even going as far as sending their daughters to his bedroom.

But Alexander never showed any interest and threw them out like annoying flies even before they could set their foot in the bedroom.

"Ahem... But you mustn't force Little Evelyn. She is so delicate what if you scare her. I'll never forgive you ", Rosary glared at her son and the emperor gently patted her back trying to calm her.

" Do you think I'll ever hurt her? You're worrying for nothing ", Alexander sighed and stood up.

" This conversation is done. If you want to see your future grandchildren then don't disturb us".walking away he went out without looking back and raised his hand as goodbye "

"Huh! He's just as pushy as you. " The empress sighed with a helpless smile by her son's brazen remark.

The emperor also smiled and kissed her cheeks, "Let the children deal with their matter, My love. Don't you think you should care for me"

There was a evil smirk on the emperor's cold handsome face which was totally different from before.

The empress blushed, even after so many years this man always had to have his way with her. Although she wasn't complaining.
