Chapter :17

Evelyn opened her mouth and said proudly, "There is no need. They don't want me and I also don't want them. I can take care of my....... "." Grrrrrrr...... ".Suddently there was a sound of stomach growling.

Evelyn felt her cheeks getting red. She wanted to bury herself in a hole. Here goes my proud moment well done traitor!!!!

Alexander looked at the colourful face of the girl sitting in front of him and chuckled.

" I'll send the maid to help with your bath and clothes"he looked at her slightly ruffled silver hair and couldn't help but stretch out his hand and patted them gently.

He went out and Evelyn was left alone in the room. So much has happened, she couldn't believe she could turn into a human . She looked dazedly at the retreating back of the man.

Even after her transformation she felt he was too tall and big. Knock! Knock!

"I am coming in miss rabbit".

Lily opened the door and there was a flash of surprise in her usual bored eyes.

Lily quickly pulled herself together and smiled bowing her head, " Good morning, my lady"

Evelyn's nervousness went away by her warm welcome she laughed heartily, "Hello, Lily".

After their brief chat while helping her wash up lily excused herself to bring her clothes. Evelyn stood up wrapping herself in the bathrobe.

She walked out of the bathroom and saw lily bringing rows of dresses. Evelyn was astonished seeing this dazzling scene. "These were all prepared for you my lady by her majesty although the size needs to be altered".

Looking through the variety of clothes Evelyn picked out a soft baby blue dress with delicate lace . Lily wanted to help her but Evelyn declined and lily went out to get her shoes.

Evelyn slowly wore the dress. She still wasn't used to her human form so she didn't wore a corset but the dress had some ribbons on her back. Evelyn tried several times but failed and huffed .

The sound of door opening was echoed through the room . Evelyn said excitedly as if finding her saviour, "Lily, could you please help me tie the dress up. My hands can't reach it".

Suddenly she felt a shadow looming over her and the ribbons on her back slowly stretched one by one.

Thick cold fingers grazed her back making her shiver.

She tilted her head backwards and was greeted by the sight of Alexander's sharp jaw. Her eyes widened with surprise and met with the man's blue eyes, which was now completely focused on her back tying the ribbons or who knows what.

Evelyn tried to back off, " It's..... It's fine lily will help me with it, Your highness. You don't need to bother".

Alexander's deep voice came above her head, " No bother ".

Evelyn shut her mouth, 'Okay, if you say so'. Her cheeks were slightly pink. Alexander looked at the delicate back . It had a small mole on her left shoulder . Although the dress didn't show much of her back but the exposed skin was glowing.

Making his canine teeth itch a little. He suddenly had an impulse to bite this delicate milky shoulder. However, he controlled himself.

This timid rabbit might run off being scared by him if he did something like that. Evelyn was petite and only reached a little below Alexander's shoulder.

She pouted unhappily and murmured,"Do we still eat the same food, how come he grew so big".

Alexander leaned forward his lips slightly touching her sensitive earlobe.

"It's genetic little eve", the deep cold voice sounded beside her and Evelyn inexplicably shivered. This man why does he have to speak so close.

Alexander looked at her with his usual stoic face but amusement could clearly be seen in his dark blue eyes.

" Let's go to the dining hall"

Alexander backed away but his eyes caught Evelyn's pink little toes. She wasn't wearing any shoes and the beautiful round toes were soft and pink.

Evelyn stepped forward wobbly ,still not used to walking with her feets but she was very excited hearing they would eat.

Only heaven's knows how she was deprived of the delicacies of the world. No matter how good the meal was she was only allowed to eat little human food and most of the time she ate high quality rabbit food.

But grass was still grass. Her mouth watered and she trotted towards Alexander. Cute and lovely like a bouncing milk bun. "What food is there? Is there cream puffs? "

Alexander chuckled and picked her up swiftly. Evelyn tilted her head looking at his face confused.

Alexander replied without her asking, "You're not accustomed with your legs . I'll carry you"

Evelyn didn't mind, she was used to him carrying her. She was looking forward to eat and said happily in her soft voice, "Okay"

Alexander carried the soft little person in his arms. She was like a sweet cotton candy and a faint scent emanated from her. Her cherry like lips were slightly pouty.

The servant all bowed seeing their master walking but when they lifted their head and saw the exquisite doll like person in Alexander's arm they were stunned.

"Hey, did you saw what I saw? " A short haired maid nudged her fellow colleague. The other maid nodded in a trance, "Was that an angel or a doll?"
