Chapter 13

“Hey, Takuto.”

“Hm?”

It was after school and as I was getting ready to return home.

A voice called out to me from the seat behind me.

When I turned around, my eyes met Yuika’s, who was resting her chin on her hand.

“I have a favor to ask you, is that okay?”

“It depends on what it is.”

“I can’t tell you now.”

“What the hell was that.”

I raised my eyebrows and made a difficult expression on my face.

The final exam is just around the corner and I want to spend time on my studies.

I didn’t want to accept a request that she couldn’t even tell me what it is.

“I’m sorry, but ask someone else-“

“Takuto, you’re the only one I can ask….”

Yuika’s sorrowful eyes caught my attention.

Yuika doesn’t rely on people much.

She has standards that allow her to do basic things on her own, and she tends to feel embarrassed to rely on someone.

Since Yuika is asking me to do something for her, it must be something complicated.

I scratched the back of my head.

“……it’s just this one time.”

“Yeah. Thanks, Takuto.”

Yuika’s cheeks slightly blushed as she thanked me.

I took out my phone and sent a chat to Rina san.

[Sorry, it looks like I won’t be able to go home with you today.]

She immediately replies.

[Why?]

[Yuika asked me to do something for her. She won’t give me the details, but I’ll tell you when I find out.]

Immediately, she stops replying.

As I stared at my phone suspiciously, I heard the sound of busy footsteps approaching.

Oops.

My girlfriend is running down the hallway at full speed…….

“Whew, whew…..Haa.”

Rina san came in while out of breath like she had just run a half-marathon.

“O-onee chan? Why are you in such a hurry-“

What are you going to do with Takuto kun? Yuika.”

Rina san looked at Yuika while adjusting her breathing.

Yuika gulped down slightly.

“It’s none of your concern, Onee chan. Let’s go, Takuto.”

“O-oi….”

She went in the wrong direction and pulled my hand.

Rina san’s eyes color changed and she pulled Yuika’s hand away from me.

“I don’t want you to touch my boyfriend without my permission.”

“How dare you act like a girlfriend  even though you’ve only been dating for a few days.”

“I don’t think it has anything to do with how long we’ve been dating or what. Right now, I’m dating Takuto kun. Of course as his girlfriend, I don’t want him to be touched without permission.”

“Whoa, Onee chan is very restrictive.”

“I think it’s crazy to allow your boyfriend to hold hands with other girls.”

“I’ve already touched Takuto more times than I can count. Isn’t it too late now?”

“I don’t care about the past. I’m talking about the present.”

“…..Annoying.”

The atmosphere that was filled with quarrel was about to break out.

I decided to step in between the two of them while sweating profusely.

“U-um…… You two need to calm down a little.”

When I started to open my mouth, all of the gazes turned to me at once.

“Takuto-kun, do you still have feelings for Yuika? I thought you had completely switched to me by now.”

“No, no,it’s not that. I just received a request from Yuika.”

She bit her lip and glared at me with a puzzled look.

When she was flustered, Yuika interrupted her from the side.

“That’s right. It’s just a request. You worried too much, Onee chan.”

“It’s weird to not be worried. What is it that you want to ask my Takuto kun for?”

“Whoa…..you even said ‘my’……”

“Do you have a problem with it?”

“Nope.”

“Then, can you stop acting like that?”

Sparks were scattering along with their gazes and creating a dangerous atmosphere.

My heart ached at the fact that I was partly responsible for this.

“S-since Rina san said that, why don’t you tell me what you’re asking me to do?”

Even if we continue to talk like this, we will only run into a parallel line.

I’m going to switch the subject to the main topic.

Yuika dropped her gaze and revealed the details of her request after hesitating a little.

“-…..I want Takuto to play the role of my boyfriend.”
