Chapter 10
I'm Dating My Ex-Girlfriend's Older Sister, and We Have a Great Chemistry So Everyday Life Was Fun
âCome in.â
âS-sorry to bother youâ¦â¦â
I ended up visiting Rina sanâs room.
Itâs because of the final exam which is coming up soon and sheâs going to help me study.
Rina sanâs parentsâ¦â¦more precisely, I was nervous about meeting her father, but itâs a weekday today. He seems to be working at his office as usual.
I hardly ever talk to him, but he knew that I was dating Yuikaâ¦..
On top of that, I donât know what will happen if he finds out that I started dating Rina san this time,â¦â¦.
Nevertheless, Iâll have to tell him properly at some point.
âDonât just stand there, sit down.â
âAh, yes.â
Rina san urged me to sit down on the cushion she gave me.
The space in this room is about eight tatami mats.
With the necessities such as a closet, a desk, and a bed, there are not many personal belongings to be found.
The interior is based on white and has a sweet scent like strawberries.
I have been to this house many times, but this was the first time I entered Rina sanâs room.
Rina sanâs mouth fell open as if she was teasing me.
âAre you nervous just because itâs your ex-girlfriendâs sisterâs room?â
âWell, of course. Itâs not my ex-girlfriendâs older sisterâs room, itâs my girlfriendâs.â
After she received my remarks, Rina sanâs cheeks blushed.
She crouched down and shook her head slightly.
âY-yeah, I guess soâ¦â¦ Letâs, um, letâs study.â
The atmosphere was getting unbearable, and Rina san put her hands together with bread to change the mood.
I took out an English reference book from my bag.
âHere. Iâm not good at English, so I would like to ask you to teach me.â
âEnglish? Takuto kun, youâre not good at English?â
Rina san raised her bewildered voice with her eyebrows raised.
âIâm sorry. Iâm a pure-blooded Japanese. I donât understand English.â
âNo, thatâs not what I meant.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âI mean, well, I used to live in America. Iâm a returnee.â
âHee, thatâs the first time Iâve heard of it. Thatâs amazing.â
âSo, I wonder if youâre the same, Takuto kun?â
I made a difficult face.
I couldnât understand how she came up with that idea.
âDo I look like I used to live abroad?â
âNo, not at all.â
âI think what you said earlier was the oppositeâ¦..â
âWell, letâs see, have you ever been abroad?â
âYeah, I have. I was in elementary school back then, so I donât remember much about it anymore.â
âDid you learn English back then?â
âI was there for two weeks or so, so I canât really remember. It was just a trip.â
When I was an elementary student, I couldnât even use Japanese.
Naturally, I havenât even reached the level where I could handle English. Mostly, I was always clinging to my mom.
But come to think of it, I donât remember much about the trip. I think something shocking happened.
âI see. Well, of course you donât remember.â
â? Yes.â
âAll right, then. Letâs study.â
âPlease take care of me.â
Rina san clenches her fists and gets fired up.
As she unfolded reference books on the table, she taught me one-on-one.
For me, whoâs doubtful about the basics when it comes to English, Rina san was like a goddess as she taught me in a very kind and careful manner.
Or rather, sheâs good at teaching. I think sheâs suited to be a school teacher.
âYes, thatâs correct. Well done.â
âDo I have to be patted every time I get the answer correct?â
âWe have an educational policy of developing our children through praise.â
âSince when am I Rina sanâs child?â
âYou donât like it?â
âI donât.â
âEh, but itâs funny. Try calling me mom.â
âM-mom?â
ââ¦â¦T-thatâs kinda naughty in some wayâ¦â¦.Can you stop saying weird things?â
âYou made me say itâ¦..â
The actual âIâm not a fan of the way you look at it, but Iâm not a fan of the way you look at it either.
I looked at Rina san in a confused expression and said it in exasperation.
In any case, with this kind of situation, I proceeded with my studies smoothly, even though I just had useless conversations.
It was about an hour later.
âOh, yeah. You didnât bring anything to drink.â
âOh, no, donât worry about it at all.â
âItâs fine. Iâll get you something, so please wait.â
âThank you.â
Rina san lifted her hips and opened the room door with light steps.
âWhoa, Whoa !?â
and a voice filled with anguish was heard along with a familiar figure.
Does this door make a sound?
I had no time to think about such a nonsensical thing when I saw a familiar blue-haired girl.
âY-yuika? Are you okay?â
Rina asked in a panicked and worried tone.
Yuikaâs face turned red as she held her forehead with her hand, and she walked away without saying a word.
âAh, hey, W-waitâ¦.Yuikaâ¦.â
Rina san looked at Yutaka anxiously as she ran away.
What is she doing, that girl.
Could it be, she was eavesdropping on our conversation in front of the door?
âI-is she okayâ¦â¦ Iâm going to go check on her a bit.â
âOh, then, Iâll go.â
âEh? Butâ¦â
âThere are some things I need to tell her before things get complicated.
Rina san looked a little confused, but when she looked back into my eyes.
âUnderstood. Then Iâll leave Yuika to you, Takuto kun.â
âRoger that.â
Rina san went to get something to drink.
I decided to go to Yuikaâs room.
