Chapter 926
Arielle Moore and Vinson Nightshire
Meanwhile, in Horington, Trevor had swiftly acquired all the companies that manufactured construction materials.
His assistant, however, couldnât help but voice his concerns. âMr. Larson, weâve drained all our accounts and even mortgaged our branch offices to take out loans. If Mr. Nightshire doesnât give in to us within a week, weâll be bankrupt. Donât you think you should reconsider your actions?â
Trevorâs expression instantly became sullen. âWell, itâs too late for regrets. Besides, shouldnât you have persuaded me back when we stood Vinson up? Whatâs the use of saying all these now? Since you have so much time on your hand, I want you to spread the news. Let Vinson know the price he has to pay for going against the Greenes and us!â
âYes, Iâm on itâ¦â the assistant murmured before slinking away.
At Nightshire Groupâs branch office in Horington, Vinson was about to depart for the airport when the branch manager came looking for him.
âMr. Nightshire, Mr. Luke Yeager is here.â
âLuke Yeager?â
After a momentâs thought, Vinson settled back into his chair. âAll right, send him in.â
âYes!â
Before long, Luke strode into the office with a grim look on his face.
Question marks flooded Vinsonâs mind as he gave Luke a onceâover. âMr. Yeager, what happened?
Are you not happy with the contract?â
Luke hastily replied, âNo, no. Thereâs no problem with the contract. Itâs Trevor.â
âTrevor Larson?â
At the mention of Trevorâs name, Luke gritted his teeth in anger.
âWhen Trevor found out that I was working with you, he bought out all the construction material manufacturers in Horington. How am I supposed to get my hands on materials for my construction needs? How on earth do I build anything at all? Trevor is just out to destroy me!â
Luke was expecting Vinson to blow his top, but to his surprise, Vinson remained calm.
âMr. Nightshire, did you hear what I said?â Luke asked warily.
âOf course, Iâm not deaf.â Vinson then stared at Luke and added, âMore importantly, Mr. Yeager, you havenât gone through the proposal in detail, have you?â
Luke flinched and scratched his head sheepishly. âI was so happy that I havenât had a chance to look at it⦠But donât worry, Iâve handed it to my subordinates. Theyâre preparing for it as we speak.â
Vinsonâs lips curled into a wry smile as he handed a copy of the proposal over to Luke.
âSince we have time now, why donât you give it a read?â
Despite feeling befuddled, Luke did as instructed.
It didnât take long before he looked up from the proposal and exclaimed, âOh, youâre not constructing buildings. Youâre constructing the worldâs biggest theme park!â
âThatâs right,â Vinson replied with a nod. He then explained, âI plan to build a theme park thatâs suitable for all ages. Iâve purchased the land, but you donât have to rush to start construction. Letâs wait till we get the design blueprints from the other party.â
âBut⦠If I canât get my hands on any building materials, I still wonât be able to build a theme park.â
Vinson raised his chin and smirked. âCarry on reading.â
Luke nodded and buried his nose in the proposal.
Not long after, he cried out in surprise, âWhat? The other party agreed to provide all materials? Theyâre even shipping them over from Epea?â
