Betrayal
From Rivalry to Romance
The days that followed Bison's recovery were marked by an uneasy calm. He'd taken to resting, focusing on getting back on his feet while Style hovered close, as if unwilling to let him out of his sight for even a moment. The atmosphere in the safe house was thick with tension, but everyone knew the plan had to move forward. Time wasn't on their side anymore.
On the third day, when Bison had regained enough strength, the group gathered to finalize their next steps. Fadel was sharp, his eyes darkened with the kind of resolve that only came from the fire of betrayalâthey had all been betrayed, and he wasn't about to let it slide.
"We're kidnapping MOTHER," Fadel stated flatly, his tone brokering no argument. "We're getting answers, and we're getting them now."
Bison, still wearing the fresh bruises of his recovery, nodded in agreement. He wasn't about to let Mother have any more control. He wanted answers just as much as Fadel, and he was willing to go to any lengths to get them.
The plan was simple: sneak in, take Mother, and get her to talk. They didn't need her dead; they needed her alive but broken. No more of this cryptic shit. No more playing games. They were getting to the bottom of this.
The group split into pairs. Bison and Fadel would handle the confrontation, while Style and Kant stayed behind to keep watch and manage the logistics. As Fadel and Bison suited up, preparing for the task ahead, the weight of what they were about to do hung heavily in the air.
It was a quick strike, minimal noise, maximum efficiency. In less than an hour, they had MOTHER bound and gagged in an abandoned room, the cold, sterile walls echoing the silent threat they presented.
Fadel stood over her, his expression a mixture of anger and calculation. He wasn't going to make it easy for her. She'd made her choices, and now they had to make her pay the price.
"You've been running the show for too long," Fadel muttered, stepping forward to untie the gag from her mouth.
Mother glared up at him, her eyes sharp but betraying nothing. "You think this is going to end well for you?" she spat, her voice hoarse. "You can't win against what's coming."
Bison gripped her arm tightly, forcing her to look up at him. "Tell us what the hell is going on," he demanded, his voice low and menacing.
Mother took a long breath, her chest rising and falling with an eerie calm. "You want the truth?" she sneered. "This isn't just some random threat. It's one of your old clients, the cartel, one of the assignments you worked for me in the past. They're the ones behind the attack. They want revengeârevenge for the jobs you did to them. And I agreed to work with them. They promised me my life in exchange for my loyalty."
Fadel's fists clenched, his body shaking with fury as the pieces of the puzzle clicked together. The cartel. The assignment. The revenge. It wasn't just about money. It was about settling an old score, and they had unknowingly walked right into it.
"You sold us out?" Bison growled; his voice barely contained. He was seething with rage, the betrayal cutting deeper than any physical wound ever could.
Mother's lips curled into a tight smirk, clearly reveling in the power she thought she still had. "I did what I had to do. You were always too busy playing at being noble. I'm smarter than that."
Fadel took a step closer, his anger boiling over, his eyes cold and hard. "You're not just betraying us, MOTHER. You're betraying everyone who trusted you. You think this cartel's just going to leave you alone once they get what they want?"
She said nothing, the smirk still present, but a flicker of doubt crossed her eyes as she realized the gravity of what she'd done.
"You'll never be safe," Fadel continued, his voice deadly calm now. "You sold your soul for your life, but you'll never outrun this. The cartel doesn't care about loyalty; they'll use you, and when they're done, they'll toss you aside like everyone else."
The silence that followed was thick, suffocating, until Bison, his expression twisted in anger, grabbed her by the throat. "You're a damn fool," he spat, the venom clear in his voice. "And now we're going to make sure this is overâone way or another."
Mother gasped for air, her eyes wide with panic as she realized they weren't just going to let her go, but Fadel stepped forward, holding Bison back with a firm hand. "We don't need her dead. We need information."
Bison's eyes flicked to Fadel, conflicted. The betrayal stung, but Fadel was right. "Fine. But I'm done with her."
Fadel turned to MOTHER, his eyes sharp. "You're going to help us take down this cartel, or we'll make sure no one believes your lies when this is over." He grabbed her by the arm, pulling her upright. "You think the cartel's going to spare you after they've used you? After they've gotten everything, they need from you?"
Mother remained silent, but her gaze flickered, betraying the fear that was beginning to sink in. She knew she had made a dangerous deal. And now, there was no way out of it.
Fadel and Bison exchanged a brief look, their mutual anger simmering beneath the surface. Betrayal. The word echoed in both of their minds as they stood there, the weight of what they had learned sinking in. This wasn't just a fight against a rivalâit was personal. The cartel had made it personal. And they weren't going to stop until they got everything they wanted.
Now, the real battle was just beginning.
