C H A P T E R 4 4

Lily's POV

Adonis and I hadn't seen each other in three weeks and I missed him the most. It was the beginning of a new year so he was travelling to different branches to see them and I had so many projects right now. He has been abroad and I was literally pinging around the world but our schedules and locations never aligned so it was hard. We had been video calling all the time and we were constantly texting but I missed him so much.

I am going to fly to Manchester because he was being honoured and getting an award so I was just going to pop in we spend the night then I have to go to Tokyo the next morning but I just wanted us to spend some time together and I wanted to be there for him. I had planned with Norman and he was going to get me into the gala without him knowing so I could surprise him while he accepted his award.

I had to finish my photoshoot then I had my private jet waiting to take me to Manchester. Jenny let out a sigh and said, 'I know you're excited to see your fiance but you need to focus so you finish.'

I rolled my eyes at her, Jenny and my glam team hadn't stopped teasing me about Adonis. It was every moment of everyday with these guys. The photographer clapped and said, 'Well Lily, that is it. Thank you, I'll be seeing you again soon for sure. '

I smiled sweetly and said, 'Thanks Juan.'

He smiled back and said, 'Okay go on to see your fiance.'

I playfully rolled my eyes and he just chuckled. I went to change out of the clothes I was wearing at the photoshoot. Jenny had organised and all my bags were on the jet at the tarmac. We were late on the schedule and I wasn't sure if I was going to be on time to give him the award. When Norman told the organiser that I was surprising Adonis, the organiser had insisted that I be the one to honor Adonis and hand him the plaque that the Charity Organisation had made for him.

He said he liked Adonis and anything to make him happy. We sped onto the tarmac and a few minutes we had taken off. I knocked out on the flight because I was already mad tired and I wanted to have energy when we get there. An hour before we land I was showering and my glam team was going to get me ready. It was literally straight from the tarmac to the location of the gala. Norman organised a car to take me straight there.

I open my eyes and Jenny said, 'Okay Kiara it's time.'

I was all showered and I was sitting in a bath robe so my glam team could do their thing. Julissa hummed and said, 'Okay everyone, hair and make up has to be sexy. The newly engaged couple haven't seen each other in forever.'

I deadpanned at Julissa and she shrugged and laughed. They got started and I was texting Adonis. As far as Adonis was concerned I was leaving for Tokyo in a bit and he was complaining he didn't want to go for the award ceremony but I convinced him to go.

Lily's outfit for surprising Adonis at the Charity Gala

We had just landed and I was walking down the stairs to the car that was waiting. The driver smiled and he howed and said, 'Miss Hart. I'm Deacon Mr Hamilton's driver.'

I smiled and said, 'Hi Deacon please call me Lily.'

I stepped into the car and he closed the door. My team was going to a hotel with the car we got for them. My phone pinged and Norman was telling me I had eight minutes. I asked Deacon and said, 'How long do you think it will be?'

He seemed to be thinking and he said, 'Six minutes.'

I let out a breathe and he chuckled obviously laughing at how nervous I was. Six minutes he had pulled up at the front of the building and I was out the door jogging up the stairs. Norman was standing at the entrance and he smiled and said, 'Hi Lily, come with me. '

We went to another door and we were now back stage and he said, 'You can calm down Lily.'

I rolled my eyes because Norman just couldn't help himself. I was standing backstage and they were putting my microphone on. Now I was facing a different crisis which is that I was nervous to present Adonis with his plaque.

The stage director motioned for me to go on and I walked onto the stage but I couldn't register anyone's face. I had a bright, kind smile on my face and I got to the podium. There was an applause and I said, 'Now for the last honorary award recipient of the evening.'

I placed the plaque on the podium and I said, 'I'm honoured to be presenting the last honorary award recipient with their plaque on behalf of the Food For Kids Charity. This plaque is for one of the most hardworking and kind hearted people I know. A man that I am just simply mad about, Adonis Hamilton.'

There was a loud round of applause and there was a standing ovation. We made eye contact and his eyes were twinkling so he was happy to see me. My smile grew more as he got onto the stage and he was making his way over. I was so happy to see Adonis, I felt like I hadn't seen him and just seeing him now made me happy.

I knew I had to be professional so as much as I wanted to jump onto him I gave him a side hug and a simple kiss before handing him his plaque so he could give his acceptance speech. I stood a bit behind him to the side applauding as well. I was kind of welling up, I always did this when Adonis was receiving awards and he found it absolutely ridiculous.

Adonis put his plaque on the podium and he turned back to look at me and winked which made me smile. He turned to face the audience and he said, 'Thank you for having me as one of the honorary award recipients. The things that this organisation achieves are amazing and I'm just thankful and honoured to get to be apart of this in any way. Thank you to my fiancee for presenting me with this award. '

He turned to face me and he said, 'I love you, I love you, I love you, ' he turned back to the audience and he said, 'Thank you once again, please enjoy the rest of your night.'

There was applause and Adonis came up to me with a smirk and I smiled and he took my hand. We walked off the stage and the organiser of the event was standing there with a giddy smile on his face. I smiled and he looked at Norman and the event organiser and said, 'Thank you Mr Gordon and thanks Norman.'

They nodded and they walked away and he turned to look at me and put his hands on my hips looking into my eyes. I smiled and he let out a sigh and said, 'I'm so happy you're here, I missed you.'

I smiled up at him with a whisper and said, 'I missed you too.'

He put his hands on my hips and he said, 'You look breathtaking Rose. I missed you so fucking much, you have no idea.'

I smiled and we shared a long, passionate kiss. We pulled apart and he said, 'How are you here right now. Don't you have photoshoots in Japan this week?'

I nodded and said, 'I do, I only have one night. I just missed you and wanted to see you.'

He pouted and I just smiled at him sadly. He took my hand and he said, 'You have no idea how much I appreciate this Lily, I missed you so much that I'm sure Norman and my employees are tired of me being in such a arse mood.'

I chuckled and he said, 'I want to spend as much time with you as possible. Let's go.'

My eyes widened and I shook my head, 'Adonis you need to stay.'

He shook his head and took my hand and we were making our way outside and into a car. Adonis was holding my hand and playing with my fingers and I had my head on his shoulder. He kissed my temple and said, 'Do you know what I'm going to do?'

I hummed and he said, 'I'm going to buy you a lot of junk and fast food and we are going to watch whatever you want.'

I groaned, 'I can't Adonis, I still have weeks of work.'

He pecked me on the cheek and he said, 'I know but I know you want to besides what type of fiance am I if I don't. I know you've been staying great on your diet and working out, let me spoil you for one night.'

I pretended to be thinking about it when I was already on board. I let out a fake exasperated sigh and said, 'Fine.'

We got into his hotel room and before the door even shut he had me pressed up against the wall and we were heavily making out. He grazed my neck with his teeth and I let out a moan. He whispered just then into my ears, 'You know it's a shame you look absolutely stunning in this dress because now I want, no I mean, need you out of it.'

Just hearing that had me letting out another moan. After my moan, Adonis groaned in response. I removed his blazer and started unbuttoning his white shirt. His shirt was open and I put my hand from his abs and upwards slowly and when they got to his neck I slightly scratched right under his neck.

Adonis groaned even louder and put his chin on my head and I felt him unzipping my dress. While he was doing that I brought my hands down and started undoing his pants and placed my hands inside.

My dress slipped off my frame and I stepped out of the dress and I was left in my lingerie and stilettos. Adonis clasped his hands together, let out a breathe and he said, 'Wow.'

I smiled and he came and carried me to the bed while I squealed. Adonis placed  me on the end of the bed and squatted in front of me. He looked up to me and said, 'I missed you so much baby.'

I put my hands on my face and we had another deep kiss. I think everyone knows what happened next for the next two and a half hours. We did everything we wanted to do multiple times and now I was wearing one of Adonis's hoodies which was too big for me, a pair of cargo pants, ugg slippers and we were going to buy some McDonalds.

We decided to go into the restaurant because it's like half past ten in the night so who would be there. We walked in and there was actually a lot of customers inside Adonis groaned and said, 'Well we assumed wrong.'

I hummed and we went to join the line Adonis was wearing a sweater and cargo pants with a pair of sneakers. People had noticed and I was trying to not draw attention to myself but it wasn't working. We got to the front of the line and we ordered and we were going to sit on a table that's on the outside.

I sipped on the water I had ordered, I ordered water so I wouldn't feel bad about eating a lot of junk. We had ordered a lot of food and I was completely prepared to eat.

I unwrapped my burger and let out a moan  and Adonis chuckled at me. I picked up my burger and as soon as I bit into the burger there was a flash. I put the burger down and Adonis and I looked in that direction and there was a woman taking a picture of me.

She looked embarassed and I lost my appetite. I put the burger down and she started apologising profusely and I just gave her a soft smile telling her it was okay. Adonis gave me a sad look and we stood up to leave, it was just a moment ruined.

She saw me stand up and she said, 'I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your night in any way. '

I shook my head and Adonis picked up my food and put it in the McDonalds bag for me. She was still apologising and I said, 'It's okay, do you want to take a picture?'

She nodded profusely and Adonis took the picture of us and she said, 'Thank you. '

We walked out of the restaurant, to go to the car and there were photographers. I couldn't understand why there were photographers at like ten in the night. Adonis put his hand on the small of my back and led me through the photographers and helped me into the car and closed the car door.

We arrived at the hotel and we walked into the room and on the table in his suite there was a box of donut holes and some McDonalds. I turned to him in shock and he said, 'I asked Norman to organize this while you took pictures with all those people.'

I jumped into his arms and he chuckled. I let out a breathe and said, 'I love you so much Adonis.'

He kissed my cheek and I let out a breathe in joy. When I tell you that no one makes me happier and makes me feel as happier than Adonis. Adonis does all these small things like sometimes I get to my hotel room and there is a bouquet of flowers there, we are in different time zones and he always texts me good morning and when I wake up the text is there, then food he knows I love food more than anything.
