C H A P T E R 4 1

Lily's POV

Adonis and I had been hugging and swaying for a bit now then he whispered ,'There's more.'

I looked up at him and he took my hand and we started walking back towards where I came from. All the tables and notepads and polaroids were gone and the letter that I had left on the table too. He chuckled and said ,'Don't worry they've been packed away so nothing happens to them.'

I nodded and we continued on our way and got onto the golf cart. I put my head on his shoulder, looked at the ring and said ,'I can't believe what just happened. '

He looked down at me with a smile and said ,'I can't believe you said yes.'

I smiled and said ,'There is no way you thought I was going to say no.'

He looked down at me for a second and said ,'I really did, I was so nervous. I don't know if I've ever been so nervous in my life. '

We got to the house and through the glass doors that led into our backyard I could see my friends interacting in the house. I turned to Adonis and I said ,'Baby, you didn't have to do all this seriously.'

He shrugged and said ,'I wanted to, I wanted us to celebrate. '

I gave him a kiss and I could hear the guys hollering so I shyly stopped the kiss and turned to look towards the doors where everyone was coming out of. Nicole shouted ,'Well don't stop because of us.'

I chuckled at her and I could hear laughing. I stepped off the cart and I put my hand up showing my ring and pointing at my ring as I walked towards our friends. I could hear Adonis laughing behind me and I turned back and gave him a huge warm smile. We all met in the middle and now it was just a messy moment of screaming and showing off the ring and the guys teasing and taunting Adonis and I.

I had now hugged almost everyone but I had hardly a conversation with everyone because of all the excitement right there. We had moved the party inside and I was with Adonis and we were getting a drink at the bar. He was playing with my fingers and he said ,'Now we need to walk around and talk to everyone then the dinner after we finish,' and I nodded while looking up at him.

I looked around and I could see videographers filming the event and photographers taking pictures and people were posing for pictures. We got our drinks and he said ,'Okay let's get to it.'

We started off with Kendall and Rebecca who were sitting on some of the seats and we took seats opposite them. Rebecca did a low volume scream and said ,'Look at you two.'

I smiled and Kendall said ,'I can't believe my baby sister is engaged. '

We all chuckled and Rebecca was looking at my ring quite closely. I had my hand in her hand and she was really looking at the ring. She stopped and said ,'This ring is absolutely gorgeous. I mean this pearl is so unique and this diamond with the blue and green colours.'

I sighed and started staring at the ring with Rebecca and said ,'I know right.'

Rebecca looked up and said ,'Then this house as well, this is impressive well done Adonis.'

Adonis smiled and said ,'Thank you very much I try. '

I looked at Kendall who was watching Rebecca and I and I said ,'Guess who did the house?'

He furrowed his eyebrows and said ,'Who?'

I put my hands together and said ,'Kiara Dempsey like the Kiara Dempsey.'

Kendall looked shook and said ,'You are so lucky, mum and dad are going to be so jealous.'

I laughed and Rebecca said ,'Not just your mum and dad I'm jealous. I met her she is so such a sweetheart I wouldn't have expected it.'

I nodded and said ,'Yeah she really quickly became like a best friend it's crazy.'

Adonis then pointed at Kendall and said ,'Hey that means you met Kieran.'

Kendall nodded and said ,'Yeah and you were right about him being quiet but I spoke to him for a little bit and I could already tell why he is number one. That guy is smart.'

Adonis nodded and said ,'Yeah it's unreal.'

We talked for a bit more and I found out that Adonis had asked your approval from my family this morning and I was in awe he really thought about everything.

Adonis and I were now going towards Jane and Benjamin. Jane and I had been in this sort of strange limbo, up till now we still hadn't spoken about our fight since it happened so we had this thing hanging over our heads everytime we saw each other. Regardless of what was going on between us right now I'm more than happy that she's here to celebrate with me because at the end of the day she's still Jane and I know I'd be upset if she wasn't here.

I got to them and before I could say anything Jane had me in a bear hug. I laughed and she said ,'Oh my gosh, I can't believe you're engaged. '

I smiled and said ,'I knowwwwwww, me too. I'm still in shock. '

She took my hand and she was looking at the ring and Benjamin said ,'So how'd he do?'

I nodded and said ,'He did amazing Ben, like amazing.'

Benjamin dapped Adonis up and said ,'Nice going brother.'

I gave Benjamin a hug and I was in a side hug watching Jane quiz Adonis. Benjamin whispered and said, 'Are you happy?'

I nodded and looked up at him and whispered back ,'I'm so happy Ben, really.'

He gave me a squeeze and said ,'You deserve it best friend, you really do.'

I smiled and I was getting a tad emotional and I punched him and said ,'Stop being sweet, you're making me cry.'

He started rubbing his arm amd said, 'Ouch. Good luck Adonis with your fiancee there.'

Adonis smiled and had his arms wrapped around me and gave me a kiss on my forehead. We were now moving towards the groups of all guys who had been standing together and they were hyping me up. Their hyping me up made me model the ring exagerratedly and they were really gassing me up. I got into the middle of the group of the guys and they were all speaking together at the same time. The vibes here were completely immaculate and had me smiling really large.

Zach quitened the guys down and said ,'Okay Lily, so please tell me you made him sweat a little.'

I smiled shyly and in a low voice said ,'Uhm no.'

The guys all started pushing me around in the middle and I was laughing. Adonis hit all of them at the back of their heads and then he said ,'Stop pushing her around.'

I chuckled and they all seemed to be laughing as well. Luke tucked me under his arm and said ,'I can't believe you're engaged.'

I smiled and said ,'I know and regardless of what you all thought I was first.'

Liam had a look of realisation and said, 'Gosh you are the first.'

I was now talking the twins and the Adonis was talking to Zach and Xavier. Liam was looking at my ring trying to guess the price of the ring because Adonis said he would pay him if he managed to guess the price. Luke shook his head and said ,'He is never going to guess.'

I looked at Luke and said ,'I back that assumption.'

He looked at me amd said ,'So Lils did you forget about me?'

I gaped and said ,'Of course not I would never forget my favourite twins besides we were on a call like two nights ago.'

He chuckled and said ,'I know I just wanted to annoy you.'

I playfully rolled my eyes at Luke and he said ,'Yeah I was trying to be as petty as Jane and Nicole.'

Liam and I both gasped at what he said, he shrugged and said ,'What it's true.'

A laugh burst out of me and I walked away after saying ,'I can't with you.'

I could hear the twins chuckling and I went to Nicole and Connor. Luke and Nicole always had a bit of bad blood between them and I had no idea why and so jabs like these were normal between the two of them.

I got to the couple and Nicole could see Luke laughing and she said ,'Let me guess, Luke had some smart ass comment to say.'

I looked at her but didn't say anything and Connor gave me a side hug and said, 'Lily, congradulations I can't believe you're engaged.'

I smiled and said ,'Thanks Con, I really can't believe it either.'

He motioned at my ring and I put my hand out and he was looking at the ring and said ,'Whoa, is that a blue moon diamond?'

I nodded and he said ,'My best friend did good.'

I chuckled and Nicole said ,'Hey Lily, congradulations.'

I smiled softly and returned her hug and I saod ,'Thanks Nicole.'

It was awkward and Adonis came and Connor said ,'How are you going to propose and not tell me anything?'

Adonis chuckled and said ,'I didn't want to risk Lily finding out.'

They dapped up and Connor said ,'Congrats man. I can't believe you're the second man down.'

Adonis chuckled and put his arm around me, looked down at me and said ,'I believe it.'

I blushed and Nicole awwed and said, 'Aren't you two cute.'

I blushed even harder and hid my face in Adonis's chest. We talked to them for a little bit and then Adonis said ,'I have a surprise for you.'

I narrowed my eyes at him at him and said ,'Another one?'

He nodded and pulled me to follow him. He covered my eyes and we walked a few steps and then he lifted his hands from my eyes and I saw Kiara and Kieran in front of me. I squealed and ran to her and now we were jumping together speaking at the same time.

We stopped and we just hugged for a long time then pulled apart and I said ,'You have just been sneaky haven't you.'

Kiara chuckled and said, 'I wouldn't say sneaky.'

I smiled and said ,'Definitely sneaky Kiara. I mean this house and then you being in LA.'

She put her hands up in defense and said ,'I was sworn to secrecy.'

I smiled and I quickly turned to Kieran and said ,'Hey Kieran.'

He gave me a very short flash of a smile and said ,'Congrats Lily.'

I smiled then turned back to Kiara and said ,'Keeks, this house is just beyond anything I could have ever wanted or imagined.'

She smiled and did a playful bow and said ,'Well I work to please.'

I gave a smile and said ,'No seriously Kiara, thank you so much.'

She smiled shyly and said ,'I'm just glad you like it.'

Adonis came and hugged me from behind and said ,'Ladies we can continue this at the dinner table.'

We nodded and we walked towards the table where people were now hovering. Everyone took a seat on table and it was Adonis at the head of table, me to his left and to his right was Kendall with Rebecca next to him and next to me was Kiara who had Kieran sitting next to her.

Our starters were served and Kiara was telling me what a pain in the ass Adonis had been. She sipped her glass of wine and said ,'All I'll say is never ever again.'

I gasped and said ,'No you have to, pretty please.'

Kieran pitched in and said ,'The girl is difficult up till now, my project still hasn't been approved.'

Kiara gasped and turned to Kieran and said, 'I did.'

He gave her a look and she whispered an ,'I think.'

Which made us at this side of the table laugh. I heard Luke from next to Rebecca say ,'So who are these two?'

I looked aat him and said, 'You haven't met yet?'

He nodded and I said ,'This is Kiara Dempsey and Kieran King. '

Nicole was now gaping and she said, 'Kiara Dempsey, as in the architect?'

I nodded with a smile because I had the same reaction. Kiara was such a figure of awe in the elite circles because of her talent and quality of work she puts out. She was also a figure of awe because she was exclusive, she only took on projects she liked and so many people were just enthralled by her and wanted a project done by her. What most of the people who were enthralled by her didn't know was what a kind and sweet person Kiara was, I'm just happy I get to have her as a friend she's really always there for me.

Jane scoffed and said ,'It's not that impressive.'

Everyone on the table must've clocked it and I looked at Kiara and Kieran who seemed completely unfazed as they kept eating their starter and having wine. Luke didn't like that comment and in it he said, 'Wow.'

Jane turned to him probably not expecting Luke to defend Kiara. Luke straight at Jane and said ,'See, that's some bullshit.'

Luke always said it like it is even as his friend he would tell you off. His no nonsense attitude is why we had stayed friends all the time he was loyal and trustworthy. Jane narrowed her eyes and said ,'What's some bullshit?'

Luke sat back and folded his arms across his chest with a smirk on his face. I turned to look at Adonis and his jaw was ticking and I knew he was irritated and I didn't blame him, right now wasn't the time.

I stood up and tapped my wine glass and everyone turned to me and I put a smile on my face and took one of Adonis's hand in mine. I looked up again and said ,'Thank you so much guys for being here. It really means the absolute most because I would want to celebrate with my friends and I can. Now to my fiance, ' I paused then said ,'Wow that's the first time I've said that,' the table laughed and I looked into Adonis's eyes which were trained on me and I said ,'Thank you so much for tonight, it's absolutely perfect. I love you so much. This is to forever then some.'

The table said ,'Cheers,' and I sat down and Adonis gave me a kiss on the lips which left me with my eyes closed for longer.

We were now done eating and people were now just sitting and eating from the dessert platter. Adonis was rubbing the hand he was holding and I sighed and said ,'I love you so much baby.'

He smiled and said ,'I love you too.'

Kiara tapped me and handed me a wrapped gift and said ,'For the newly engaged couple.'

I gave her a look and she smiled sweetly which made me a bit suspicious. I skeptically opened the box and as soon as I saw what was inside I slammed the lid back onto the box. She laughed and Adonis gave me a look and I was just shaking my head in shock.

Kiara had gotten me some very very sexy red lingerie. Kiara stood up and pulled me up and carried the box and we walked a bit away from the table. She smiled giddily and said, 'Okay fine, open it now.'

I opened the box and there was very very sexy lingerie a white set, a black set and a red set. I looked at her amd she shrugged then she motioned for me to continue with the gift under the lingerie there was a pair of very high black stilettos. I looked at her and she said ,'Happy engagement night.'

I smiled at her and said ,'Thanks why you asked for my size. Oh my gosh you are a lot. ' and we hugged.

I pulled away and said ,'Hey about what Jane said.'

She didn't let me finish and she shook her head and said ,'Don't even worry about it.'

We went back to the dinner table where Adonis seemed worried. I ran my hand up his thigh and just kept it right by his crotch which gave him a hint of what was in the box which made him take a large deep breathe which made me smile. I knew I was going to use some of that lingerie tonight for sure. I still couldn't believe that Adonis had proposed today it was just surreal.
