C H A P T E R 36

Lily's POV

Lily's outfit for the Charity Bake Sale

I was so annoyed right now because the women at the bake sale were well annoying. The women here were all heiresses as well but I hadn't found one I wasn't annoyed by yet. Adonis had seen his friend Kieran and gone to say hello so now I was with the ladies alone.

The bake sale was going incredibly well and the baked treats were selling quickly. It had become more of a social for very wealthy people eating baked treats whilst looking at the art. I saw Adonis walking in my direction and I smiled at him but the people coming with him seemed in a hurry.

He was walking with an attractive man and a gorgeous woman as well. They arrived at the stall and Adonis said ,'Baby someone brought some treats to sell.'

I looked at the woman and said ,'Thank you so much.'

I wanted to introduce myself but Adonis said ,'She'll be back baby she needs to find Kieran.'

I wanted to ask more but I just nodded and she walked away with the guy Adonis came with towards the doors. I looked at Adonis and said ,'Do you even know what is going on?'

Adonis shook his head, looked at the doors as well and he said ,'I have no idea but I'm sure she is the reason why Kieran was kind of in a mood. That is the first girl that Kieran has ever liked or loved and I think they are fighting or something.'

I looked at him and said ,'Really the first ever?'

Adonis nodded and came to sit with me behind the counter and said ,'Yes the first ever. When we were in university girls threw themselves at our group of friends and Kieran never kissed, had sex with or went on dates with any of the girls at all. When Ashton told me today that Kieran was in love I was so shocked.'

Adonis looked genuinely happy for his friend and I was fascinated by it. He continued and said ,'Connor, Ashton, Kieran and I we are all in love and that is something because one of us was always single and then Kieran of course was as well.'

The guy Adonis had called Ashton motioned for Adonis to come and he looked like a child on Christmas day. Adonis got up and said ,'I'll be right back baby.'

They quickly paced towards the doors and they were now staring outside. I looked down at the baked goods that the girl had brought because they were moving fast. She had brought them like ten minutes ago and there were like five pieces of dessert left, I put money for the baked goods and tasted a macaron and now it made sense. The macaron practically melted in my mouth and it was amazing. I was about to buy another one when I saw the guys approaching with the girl. The girl was stunning, she had olive skin, bouncy brunette locks and hazel eyes but they were light hazel.

They got to where I was and I said ,'You're back.'

She smiled shyly and Adonis said ,'Baby this is Kiara Dempsey.'

I gasped and became a stuttering mess and said ,'Oh my word, I'm such a big fan of your work.'

Kiara Dempsey was one of the best architects in the world, I literally loved all the houses she did and my dream was to have a house done by her because she always exceeds expectations when I see houses she has designed for other people. She was very picky about the projects she did and she didn't do any favouritism. My parents had been trying to get her to do them a house and up till today hadn't succeeded. Adonis and I had sent an application and her team hadn't got back to us yet but they had put out a statement that for a few weeks she would be settling into her new position so we have been waiting patiently.

She smiled and said ,'Thank you that really means a lot.'

I went to her and linked arms with Kiara and I said ,'I can't believe I'm standing here with you and you're beautiful wow.'

She laughed and said ,'You are gorgeous too and I think I recently saw your advert on a billboard like recently.'

I smiled, I already liked her and said ,'Thank you Kiara. Oh my gosh we are going to friends forever.'

She giggled and I giggled and now we were in fits of giggles sitting on one of the tables that were set up for people to mingle.

Kiara and I were talking about her architecture, we talked about what I would want in a house, we talked about modelling and talked about the charity. I really liked Kiara she was really funny and you could tell she was genuine.

We had been talking about an hour just as girls and we were already getting quite close, we had opened up to each other I noticed she took some time but now she was open. I saw her looking at the guys and I asked ,'What's going on between you two?'

I shrugged and I said ,'I wish I knew but today was kind of the reunion.'

I waited for her to elaborate and she said ,'We were going on a date last night and something came up and basically we didn't end up going on the date and I pushed him away.'

I felt like I understood, it seemed like it was the feeling I had when I realised how fast I was falling for Adonis. I wanted to make her feel better because I could tell she still felt some type of way about it so I said ,'I know exactly what you're talking about, I had the same thing kind of. My last boyfriend cheated on me.'

She gasped and with excitement she said ,'Ooh me too.'

I squealed happy to have someone to share this experience with who also seemed over it like me and said ,'Really?'

She nodded and in a low voice said ,'Who would've thought?'

The guys came to sit with us but I saw that Ashton was gone. Kieran couldn't look more into Kiara as he looked softly and said ,'Are you guys almost done because we need to go have dinner and I want to eat my desserts.'

Adonis looked at me and said ,'You guys getting along?'

I looked at him and said ,'Are you kidding I think I just met one of my new close friends.'

He chuckled amd said ,'Do you think she's a good person?'

I nodded and said ,'She doesn't really trust very well but yeah she's a really genuine person.'

Kiara was downplaying her desserts and I cut into her and Kieran's conversation and said ,'Keeks I had a macaroon and it was delicious and they were finishing quickly actually.'

She seemed doubtful confirming what I had noticed she was very hard on herself. She shyly hummed and said ,'I think you're biased. I'm Italian that dessert has to be perfect.'

I nodded and said ,'That makes a lot of sense. Your baking and your mannerisms.'

Adonis cut our conversation and said ,'Since when are you guys best friends.'

I smiled, shrugged and said ,'Some people just click and sadly for you guys we have so you can be expecting us to be hanging out a lot.'

Kiara looked at Kieran with a pointed look and said ,'Exactly.'

Adonis put his hands up and said ,'I'm not complaining I get to see my mate more.'

I looked at Adonis and he just looked so happy and I couldn't help the warmness that spread throughout my chest. I gave him a peck and he deepened the kiss. I heard an aww and saw Kieran looking at Kiara who was too busy awwing us to notice. Kieran stood then said ,'Let's go you guys, dinner I want to eat my dessert remember.'

Kieran and Kiara disappeared to their cars and we had no idea where Kieran's house was. We were in the car and Adonis called Kieran and as soon as Kieran answered Adonis said ,'Dude do you expect us to pull you address out of thin air?'

Kieran chuckled and said ,'My bad man, Kiara and I'm in a race right now let me send you the location.'

Adonis nodded and said ,'Okay man.'

He then turned to me and said ,'Please don't race I'll have a heart attack.'

I gasped in a pretense offended manner and said ,'Why?'

He looked up from his phone and said, 'Oh please baby you know how bad you are at driving.'

I laughed and maps was giving us directions to this guys house. Kieran's house was very far in the outskirts of New York. We arrived at the house and we saw Kiara and Kieran standing by a black Lamborghini and I think arguing. From both of their stances I could tell it was not serious, my door opened and Adonis was standing there with his hand held out for me.

We started walking towards them and we heard Kieran said ,'Kiara, you were so far away I parked and got out of the car.'

Kiara narrowed her eyes at Kieran and his confidence shrunk down and mumbled ,'But I did beat you.'

Kiara smiled at Kieran with her arms folded and said ,'Yeah by cheating.'

Kieran grinned and playfully narrowed his eyes and said ,'You're a sore loser princesa.'

She rolled her eyes and said something in Italian which had Kieran burst out laughing and say, 'I speak Italian so I understood.'

She rolled her eyes and said ,'I know what Kieran, you were supposed to. If I didn't want you to I would have spoken in Korean.'

She walked into his house and he just stared at her as she walked into the house with a smile on his face. Adonis burst out laughing and said ,'Wow man when you fall you fall flat on your ass don't you.'

Kieran looked at us and said ,'Shut up. '

He motioned for us to follow him and he said ,'As you can see Adonis it's still the same house all I did was add new appliances and upgrade the ones already here so you can show Lily around, I'm going to go find Kiara.'

Adonis nodded and Kieran walked into another door. Adonis took my hand amd started swinging our hands as we walked around Kieran's house.

He had just turned a corner and we were in the dining room and Kiara was talking to who I assume was the butler. Adonis stepped forward and said ,'Benjamin.'

The butler turned and bowed and said ,'Mr Adonis, it's been a long time.'

Kiara came to stand with me and she said ,'I'm so hungry.'

I sighed and said, 'Me too. '

He sat onto the two seats and four people came with platters that had different types of sushis on each platter. My tummy grumbled I really liked sushi. Adonis sat beside me and Kieran walked into the dining room and took a seat as well. The waiters came in with four pitchers of different cocktails, the pitchers were put behind name cards and the drinks were pina coladas, margeritas, long island iced tea and amarula.

Kieran motioned for the waiters and chef to leave the room and they did. We sat and ate whilst talking for hours. I took some pictures and videos for my instagram story because we were having so much fun. We were now sitting in Kieran's gazebo with music playing and the guys were telling us stories.

We had also spent a fraction of the night coming up with ideas for Norman's proposal for his girlfriend. Some of the ideas were good but others weren't so good but it was fun nonetheless.

Kiara came up with the idea for Norman to propose. We had told Kiara and Kieran about Annie's personality. Annie was a Southern Belle, she was very sweet unless she is angry and she is an introvert.

She had suggested that he sets up a gazebo with fairy lights and they have dinner out there and then he proposes. Kiara had made the point that since she's an introvert she wouldn't want something too extravagant but something more intimate. When we called Norman and told him the idea he praised Kiara and she was just laughing at how dramatic he was. Kieran got jealous when Norman was complimenting Kiara continuously and Kiara clearly liked it when he got jealous because she blushed and just leaned into his chest. They were very very cute and I was very much hoping all well for their relationship.
