C H A P T E R 28

Lily's POV

I walked into the room and Adonis looked really good. I was happy with my choice of outfit for him, he just made it work.

He looked up at me and his eyes darkened with lust and I put my hand up and said ,'No, Adonis.'

He got up from the bed with a smirk, started walking towards me and said ,'What.'

I gave him an incredulous look and said ,'I know what you are thinking and we are late already.'

He came towards me and said ,'We do not have to go. We can just stay here and I can get you out of your outfit multiple times. '

I put my hand on his chest holding him back and he looked down at my hand. I drew my hand back from him quickly because he just might use it to his advantage. He stepped up and we were now chest to chest. I looked up into his eyes and he was staring adoringly at me already.

I quickly stepped away from Adonis and I picked up my phone and handbag and motioned for him to follow me. He smiled and followed me down the stairs.

There was golf cart waiting for us and we got onto it. The driver started driving us and the whole time was spent with me swatting his hands away from me.

We arrived at the hall in about five minutes and I stepped of the golf cart with Adonis stepping off after. I smiled and thanked the driver and he smiled then drove off.

I opened my handbag and pulled out an eye mask. I turned to him and Adonis groaned and said ,'Okay I'll comply with but when we get back you have to comply as well capisce.'

I gave him an innocent seductive look and dangled the eye mask in front of him and said ,'Oh you mean with this.'

Something that sounded like a growl came out of him and he came behind me and whispered lowly ,'There is going to be so much more than just using an eye mask and you can thank your leather dress for that.'

I shivered and he smiled cockily and said ,'Okay so let's get this show on the road, I have plans for tonight.'

I covered his eyes, rolled my eyes and said ,'I know you can't see me because your eyes are covered but I just rolled my eyes.'

I took a deep breathe and said ,'Are you ready?'

He hummed and I took his hand led him to the middle of the room and everyone was surrounding the podium in the middle of the room. I led him up then I said ,'Okay, three, two, one.'

As soon as I took off the eye mask everyone shouted surprise. Adonis sturned to me emotionless and said, 'No ways.'

I smiled and he pulled me in for a hug. I pulled away so people could come and say hi to him and all that.

I heard my name and saw Jane pulling Nicole towards me. I smiled and went to meet them. We hugged and Jane said ,'Lily this look surreal, I mean you did great and can I just say Adonis's friends are like all hot.'

I laughed and said ,'You're exaggerating.'

She smiled and said ,'Well maybe but there are still a lot of them. '

Jane hooked my arm on one side and Nicole's on the other and started walking us to the bar. She turned to look at me and said ,'You deserve a shot for all this planning.'

I laughed and we got to the bar and we took shots. I only took one and decided I could drink later because at midnight I had to make a birthday speech for Adonis.

There were different food stands of different types of food from chinese to japanese to french to italian. There were very professional bar tenders that my mum used. My mum had handled the catering and I couldn't be more thankful for her connections.

I was sitting at table with Nicole and Jane and once in a while people would come to me and talk to me. This party was a lot of fun and Jane heard her favorite song and as a result she jumped up started pulling us towards the dance floor.

We were walking through people and Nicole and I were apologising and we got to the centre of the dance floor and we were now screaming the song on top of our songs and dancing like crazy. Now here is the thing I can dance and Nicole can dance but Jane not so much.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and I smelt Adonis's cologne. I turned around and put my hands on his torso and he was looking down at me. I couldn't help the grin that grew on my face just seeing his eyes look so happy and relaxed.

He brought his head down and whispered ,'You left me alone.'

I laughed and said ,'You had to do your rounds and thank all these people for coming.'

I felt his smile and whispered on my ear ,'All thanks to you.'

He gave me a hug and said ,'Seriously Rose, I couldn't thank you enough ever.'

I put my hands on his cheek and said ,'I did it because you deserve it Adonis.'

Nicole shouted ,'Guys let's go to the photobooth.'

I nodded and Adonis put his arm around my waist and led me through the crowd with us occassionally stopping and he would greet someone or be greeted and I would be introduced.

We got to the photobooth and Connor and Nicole jumped into the photobooth first. I was standing with Adonis and he was still shocked how I managed to get all his real friends together in one place. Apparently it's hard and they've tried before. He had been smiling hard the whole time he was talking to me but he hadn't smiled when the surprise happened.

Connor practically stumbled out of the photobooth and he looked roughed up. He looked a bit starstruck and I had an idea what Nicole did in there. Nicole poked her head out and said, 'Jane and Lily can we take ours now, I want to go dance with Connor.'

Jane and I walked into the photobooth and we took a lot of pictures and we printed them out and put them in Nicole's bag. The boys came in as well and we took pictures all together and they were really good. Ben and I were arguing about who should leave. I wanted Adonis and I to have our turn now but he was arguing that it was Jane and his turn.

I frowned at Ben and said ,'Seriously Ben, why won't you just let us go first?'

I saw Connor and Nicole slip out and he said, 'Because.'

I waited for him to finish but he just ended there. I narrowed my eyes at him and said ,'You can't just end there.'

I think Adonis saw me get riled up and said ,'Ben man please, for my birthday.'

Ben sighed and said ,'Fine.'

I stuck my tongue out at Ben from behind Adonis. Those shots were definitely starting to affect me.

Adonis and I took some formal pictures, some goofy pictures and some cute couple pictures as well. We walked out of the photobooth and Ben and Jane went inside. Adonis and I walked around to all the things that were there and we decided on the karaoke bar.

The vibe in karaoke bar was chill and we sat in there watching the people doing karaoke and laughing with everyone.

I don't know how but I was now huddled with the partners of Adonis's friends and there was about to be a girls versus boys about to happen.

One of the girls Kelly laughed ,'Why are we doing this I can't even sing.'

I laughed and said ,'Me too.'

Gina the other girl said ,'It's not about that guys.'

Kelly and I looked at each other and I said ,'Uhm Gina it's karaoke, you literally have to sing.'

Gina said ,'No guys we just have to entertain.'

I nodded because she had a point. Kelly gasped and said ,'I have the perfect song and since we are three its perfect.'

Gina and I looked at Kelly and she said ,'No scrubs.'

That was not a bad idea except the whole we can't sing part. Gina looked like she was in and I was too.

We came up with little cute movements and told each other what we were planning on doing.

We pulled away and the guys were looking at us to finish. We motioned for them to go ahead and they got onto the small stage and selected the song.

I heard the start of steal my girl and Adonis was looking at me and I couldn't help the fits of laughter that bubbled out of me.

Kevin who is Gina's fiance started off the song and he pointed at Gina and sung ,'She's been my queen since we were sixteen, we want the same things we dream the same things alright. '

Gina was laughing at Kevin at so hard and he looked at her lovingly. It was amazing to see just how different couples interacted.

Now it was Brandon's turn who is Kelly's boyfriend. He walked up to her and said ,'I got it all, cause she is the one, her mum calls me love her dad calls me son alright.'

Kelly gave him a huge smile and his smile grew in return.

I was laughing along with Gina and she was recording the whole spectacle. Adonis came and took my hand helping me up and gave me a smile and sung ,'I know, I know, I know for sure.'

They all sung to us saying ,'Everybody wanna steal my girl

They ended there and I couldn't stop laughing. The instrumental was playing and we were all slow dancing it was really fun and I could not be having more fun.

The boys ended and it was the girls turn now. Adonis came and hugged me from behind and whispered in my ear,' Let's see you beat that.'

I turned slightly so I could see his face and said ,'Please, that's light work.'

He chuckled and I pulled away and went to the stage where Gina and Kelly were already. Gina said ,'I don't know about Brandon and Adonis but Kevin is a little cocky.'

Kelly and I laughed at how riled up she was. The dj person started the music and walked behind Adonis's chair and ran my hand across his chest and sang ,'A scrub is a guy who thinks he's fly and is also known as a  busta.'

Gina was now standing next to Kevin leaning on his chair and sang ,'Always talking bout what he wants and just sits on his broke ass.'

Kelly flipped her hair once and sang ,'So, no I don't want your number.' She flipped her hair again and said ,'No I dont want to give you mine and.' She leaned in really close to his face and said ,'No I don't want to meet you nowhere.'

She started walking back to the stage where Gina and I were waiting and laughing because Brandon's face was l priceless. As soon as she got on stage she said,'No don't want none of your time.'

We started doing some cute coordinated moves and sang together ,'No, I don't want no scrubs.A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me. Hangin' out the passenger side of his best friend's ride. Trying to holla at me (Whoo). I don't want no scrubs

We really felt ourselves for like a cool minute. We posed and flipped our hair. We looked at the guys and they were quiet and emotionless. One thing for sure is that I would never do this when I'm sober but I might as well have some fun.

I looked at them and said ,'Well.'

They all started grumbling, 'You were alright. It wasn't impressive or anything.'

We laughed at them and I said ,'Okay.'

We were now sitting eating small snacks and drinking wine while chatting it up when my phone pinged. It was five minutes till Adonis's birthday and we needed to go so we could say happy birthday. I got up excitedly causing everyone to look at me and I said ,'Come on guys, let's go. '

They looked at me questioning me but followed me regardless. I was walking dragging Adonis along who was following behind me with Gina and Kelly with their boyfriends as well.

I was with Adonis on the stage and I tapped my wine glass with my nails and that got people's attention. I was holding hands with Adonis and I said ,'Hi guys, thank you so much for being here to celebrate Adonis's birthday.'

People's phone were already in the air recording Adonis and I on the podium. My phone vibrated in my hand notifying me that it was officially Adonis's birthday. I turned to look at Adonis and said ,'I wanted to be the first to officially wish you a happy birthday.'

Adonis gave me a small smile and pulled me towards him. There was applause and Adonis gave me a long kiss and then he said ,'I love you Lily Rose Hart.'

I was frozen for a bit but I recovered and I smiled and said ,'I love you too Adonis Andrew Hamilton.'

We turned to the crowd and I was tucked into his side. He took the microphone and said ,'Thank you all for coming to help me celebrate my birthday. '

There was applause as he stopped for a wbit and then he said , 'Also a big thank you to the love of my life for knowing I wasn't going to celebrate and so planning this for me.'

Adonis's friends laughed because they knew it was true. He chuckled as well and said ,'Please enjoy the rest of the party. '

People kept on dancing and the rest of the party went well. Adonis and I got pretty wasted but so did everyone really.

Everyone went back to their respective suites at almost two a.m. There were go carts that employees drove the guests to their suites in.
