C H A P T E R 26

Lily's POV

It had been a crazy busy week because I was back to work and I was planning Adonis's birthday bash. I had ended up deciding against doing the 73 questions because they wanted to come to Adonis and I's house and I wasn't really comfortable and I knew the reaction to the house would have been another problem. I was already being called a gold digger among other things and I knew that the interview wouldn't help with that so I decided that's not what I needed.

Today is Thursday and I'm pretending to be going for work but I'm going to Kendall's house for the night then tomorrow morning I'm leaving for the island to make sure everything is in order. The jets with the people coming for the weekend were landing at around eleven in the morning and then Adonis later on at three in the afternoon so I was landing with Jenny before both groups.

I was packing my suitcase for the weekend and Adonis walked into the walk in closet. I stood up and gave Adonis a kiss and got back to packing. He sat on my vanity table and said ,'So what time are you leaving ?'

I playfully narrowed my eyes and looked at Adonis and said ,'Someone is eager for me to leave.'

Adonis scoffed and said ,'I would rather you didn't leave at all. Am I allowed to play the birthday card?'

I rolled my eyes at him and said ,'You don't even celebrate your birthday and besides I tried to move the job but I couldn't.'

I was playing this out well I dont think he was suspicious. Adonis sighed and said ,'Okay fine but when you get back we are celebrating.'

I went and sat on Adonis's lap and said ,'Of course babe. What are you doing tomorrow?'

He put his arm around my waist and said ,'Since you aren't here I actually have a business meeting.'

I nodded and playfully said ,'Okay as long as you aren't in clubs without me drunk off your ass. I don't know if I could take being cheated on by you.'

I was joking around but Adonis didn't take it that way. It was quiet and I could feel the tenseness around us. I tried to get up from his lap and he wouldn't let me.

He looks at me and I can see he is angry but he calmly stated ,'Is that what you think?'

I shook my head saying no and I said ,'I trust you Adonis and I trust that you can be wasted and you wouldn't, it was a joke.'

He held my face and said ,'Yeah you remember that baby. Besides you know I don't get wasted.'

I laughed and said ,'I wish I could say the same.'

I kept packing and Adonis was sitting on the vanity just watching me. I stopped and with a smile I said ,'What ?'

He looked very deep in thought and said ,'Nothing just watching.'

I laughed and said ,'You're making me nervous.'

He laughed at my reaction and I kept packing and he was watching.

Lily's Outfit going to Kendall's house

We were standing outside and Adonis was talking to Kendall about business and I was saying goodbye to Anne.

Anne was upset and she said ,'I can't believe you guys are having a weekend of partying and I can't come.'

I laughed and I said ,'Anne your parents would kill me and your brother would be stressed about you.'

She folded her arms aceoss her chest and said ,'When you get back you are taking me for a very expensive lunch, very expensive.'

I nodded and said ,'Okay Anne, I will. '

She gave me a big hug and said ,'I haven't even seen you this week.'

I nodded and said ,'Yeah, I've had a lot of jobs and the planning of this party.'

We pulled apart and she said ,'I'll miss you.'

I smiled back at her and said ,' I'll miss you too. Do not forget, Adonis doesn't know, it's a secret.'

She nodded and she walked with me to where Kendall and Adonis were. Kendall raised his eyebrows at me and said ,'You ready?'

I nodded and he said ,'Okay, I'll see you in the car.'

Adonis and I were standing alone on the stairs and he said ,'Have a safe flight and text me as soon as you get there.'

I nodded and he pulled me in for a hug and we hugged for about five minutes. He whispered and said ,'I'm going to miss you so much Rose.'

I pulled away and whispered ,'I've got to go.'

Adonis nodded and I pulled him in by his t-shirt for a kiss. I pulled away and walked down the stairs to the car. I got into the passenger seat and Kendall said ,'That was awful dramatic, you're seeing him tomorrow.'

I rolled my eyes and said ,'He doesn't know that Ken.'

He rolled his eyes and said ,'Whatever.'

I smiled at the thought of Chase my nephew. I turned to Kendall and I said ,'How is Chase?'

Kendall chuckled and said ,'He is excited, good luck getting him to bed tonight.'

I laughed and said ,'Where are you two going for dinner tonight?'

Kendall and Rebecca are high school sweethearts and we all knew they'd end up together. There were issues they had faced but for me it was good to have them as an example. I had good examples of love with my parents then Rebecca and Kendall.

Kendall replied and said ,'We opened a new French restaurant.'

I rolled my eyes, trust Kendall to mix work in with his date one way or another. He said ,'What are you and Chase going to do tonight? '

I shrugged and said ,'Well I can't take him out so probably a movie.'

He hummed and said ,'Well he's really excited to spend time with you.'

I grinned because I can't wait to spend time with Chase. I was a bit nervous because I needed no one to let it slip.

We got to his house and I was getting out the car and I heard Chase screaming for me. I smiled and as soon as I was on the ground I felt arms around my legs. I picked Chase up and he was grinning at me.

He hugged me and said ,'Aunt Lily, I missed you so much.'

I looked thoughtful and said ,'Really? Like how much did you miss me?'

He stretched out his hands and said 'Like this much.'

I hugged him and said ,'Well I missed you that much too.'

I saw Rebecca walking towards me, I smiled and waved at her and she waved back. I walked up to her with Chase in my arms and I said ,'Hi Rebecca.'

She folded her arms across her chest and said ,'Well if it isn't Miss stranger herself.'

I laughed and gave her a side hug and we started walking towards their front door. She looked at me and said ,'I assume since you're here you'll help me get ready for my date.'

I laughed and I said ,'Of course.'

Chase and I had gotten Rebecca ready for her date and they were gone. I was sitting with Chase and we had had Mac and Cheese for dinner and we were cozied up watching Toy story. As always Chase was really hyperactive when he was watching the movie and I let him run around. We were talking about what was going on at school.

I looked at Chase and he grumbled and said ,'And she says I'm her boyfriend.'

I laughed and said ,'Is she pretty?'

He gave me a bored look and said ,'Yeah I guess.'

I gave him a sly smile and said ,'Do you like her as a girlfriend?'

He gave me an annoyed look and said ,'No Aunt Lily.'

I pretended like I got the hint and said ,'Would you like it if she got another boyfriend?'

His demeanor changed and he didn't seem so confident anymore. He furrowed his eyebrows and said ,'But she is my girlfriend, why would she want another boyfriend?'

I shrugged and said ,'Well because you said you don't like her as your girlfriend so maybe she wants someone who likes her.'

He frowned and aaid ,'No I like her as my girlfriend.'

I laughed at him and gave him a hug. I looked at him and said ,'You should always treat women well Chase. Okay?'

He nodded and I said ,'Good because girls like gentlemen.'

He looked at me thoughtfully and said ,'Even Laura?'

I asked him ,'Is that your girlfriend?'

He nodded and I said ,'I'm pretty sure Laura likes gentlemen too.'

We watched quietly for a bit and Chase said ,'Aunt Lily can you please take me next door?'

I furrowed my eyebrows and said ,'Why Chase?'

He looked up at me and said ,'I want to tell Laura I like her so she doesn't get another boyfriend.'

I smiled at how cute my nephew and said ,'I'm pretty sure she knows Chase.'

He poked out his bottom lip and said ,'Pretty please Aunt Lily I just want to tell her then we can come back.'

I thought about it but I couldn't help break for my nephew. I huffed out and said ,'Okay fine Chase we can go.'

He jumped up and ran up the stairs I was sitting on the couch and he came down in his shoes. He came and took my hand and said ,'Let's use the hoverboards. You can use dad's one it's faster that way.'

I nodded because I knew two of the security guards were going to come with us. We got onto the hoverboards and we were on our way. We probably looked absurd because Chase was in his pyjamas and I was in sweatpants and a white singlet and some slides.

The security guards were with us and the security guards at Laura's house noticed Chase and let us in. I smiled at the security guards and we just made it to the front. When we got to the bottom of the stairs at their entrance a lady opened the door and a girl around Chase's age came running out.

Chase hopped off his hoverboard and went to the little girl. They started talking and then they started walking towards me. I smiled at the little girl who smiling cutely at she put her hand towards me and said ,'Hi, I'm Laura.'

I smiled and said ,'Hi sweetie, I'm Lily Chase's Aunt.'

They started playing on the hoverboards and even took mine. I walked up the stairs and saw a lady standing at the door she looked around my mother's age. I smiled and said ,'I'm so sorry for us to impose but Chase was pretty insistent.'

The lady laughed and said ,'It is totally okay I'm Helen James.'

I shook her hand and said ,'I'm Lily Hart.'

She nodded and said ,'Oh you are Rebecca's sister in law.'

I nodded and said ,'Do you want to come in?'

I shook my head and said ,'I don't want to impose really.'

She shook her head and said,' Don't be silly please come in amd meet my older kids.'

I turned and called Laura and Chase so they come in. They came running up and zoomed past us. Helen and I laughed and Helen said ,'So what do you do for a living?'

I looked at her and said ,'I'm a model.'

She nodded and said ,'That is why you look so familiar.'

I laughed and as we sat in the living room she shouted ,'Bryan and Chelsea come down here we have guests.'

A guy around my brothers age came down the stairs. Helen said ,'Bryan come, this is Lily she is Kendall's sister.'

I smiled and he came and said ,'Hey I'm Bryan.'

I shook his hand and said ,'Lily Hart,'

I was about to say it's nice to meet you but he said ,'You're the supermodel?'

I nodded and said ,'Yes.'

Helen cut in and said ,'Bryan took over our family business.'

I nodded and a teenage girl came down the stairs and we looked eyes and she said ,'Oh my word, you are Lily Rose Hart.'

I chuckled and said ,'That's me.'

After that we sat and chatted until my alarm rang showing it was Chase's bedtime. I got up and said ,'I need to take Chase home or else my brother just might kill me.'

They laughed and walked Chase and I out. We got onto our hoverboards and said goodbye to Laura's family and went home.

I know he's just a kid but I was very excited at how much of a gentleman he was, he seemed like he was a one girl guy. I took him to his room and read his a bedtime story. I gave him a kiss on the forehead and went into my room.

I was lying awake for a little bit hoping that everything tomorrow would go great. I had packed a bag for Adonis with the clothes he would need during his birthday weekend.
