C H A P T E R 25

Lily's POV

I was sitting on the couch in the lounge waiting for Nicole's interview. Adonis was in his office working and Anneliese had gone to a friend's house. I was drinking my aloe water and super comfortable. Nicole's interview started and they were talking about all things from modelling and the jobs she had been taking and all that.

The reporter then said ,'Now onto the topic everyone is curious about which is your love life.'

Nicole gave a laugh and the host said ,'You have a new boyfriend?'

Nicole blushed and said ,'Yeah.'

The audience oohed and aahed and so did I. I probably looked crazy sitting alone with popcorn wrapped in a blanket watching tv.

The host smiled and said ,'How long have you guys been together?'

Nicole thought about it and said ,'Officially officially it's nine months in a few days.'

The host nodded amd said ,'You kept it on the down low for a long time.'

Nicole nodded and said ,'Yeah we did actually, wow I didn't realize.'

The audience made sounds that said they didn't believe it.

The host said ,'You didn't realize?'

Nicole laughed at the audience's reaction and said ,'Really it wasn't planned at all.'

The audience made the sound again and I couldn't help but laugh as well. The rest of the interview went great and now I was sitting on my couch watching the Bucks versus the Celtics. It was a pretty good game and I made a mental note to text my friend and congratulate him on playing a good game.

Adonis's birthday was coming up and I had been internally thinking about what I wanted to do for him. I had come up with an idea and I now had to plan it and make sure it worked out. I was planning everything myself because I wanted it done to perfection I was excited it was my first time planning a party for him. I found out that Adonis doesn't celebrate his birthday he is always at work and I intended for that to change. His birthday is special if it isn't for him it is for the rest of us because it's the day he came into the world to be in our lives.

I heard the door open and footsteps, I turned and saw Anne standing behind the couch I was sitting on with tears rolling down her eyes.

I stood up in a panic and walked round the couch to where she is standing and I said ,'Anne, are you okay?'

She sniffled and said ,'Ronald and I got into a fight.'

I hugged her and when she stopped crying and she was now sniffling I lead her to the couch.

When she was sitting comfortably I looked at her and said ,'Do you want some cocoa?'

She nodded and I said ,'Okay.'

I walked into the kitchen and said ,'Mrs Camry can I please have two cups of cocoa with whipped cream and marshmallows in the living room for Anne and I?'

She nodded and said ,'Sure sweetheart.'

I gave her a smile and walked back into the living room and Anne had wrapped herself in my super fluffy blanket sniffing. I sat on the couch that was facing directly in front of her.

I sat with my legs crossed and said ,'Okay tell me everything that happened including the fact that who is Ronald.'

She sat the same way I was sitting and said ,'A few weeks ago Ronald and I started dating and I've liked him since we were freshmen but things seemed like they were finally working out for us. There was always something that stopped us or there was an obstacle, before it was the fact that Daniel liked me and so he didn't want to hurt his friend then it was that he seemed like he was flirting with Kiara. Anyways so we started dating and everything was going great and today there was a picture taken of Ronald and Kiara in a very compromising position.'

My eyes narrowed and I said ,'What position?'

Anne sniffled and said ,'Kiara had her hands on his chest and he wasn't pushing her away or anything.'

I nodded in understanding and asked ,'Did you talk to Ronald?'

She nodded and said ,'I did and I asked him and he got sad that I would even ask that but how could I not I'm not some naive girl who will just act like it's nothing. He got super defensive.'

Mrs Camry walked in with the cocoa and handed some to Anne then she gave me a mug. I gave Mrs Camry a smile and thanked her in a whisper, she smiled and walked out after giving Anne a comforting shoulder rub.

I took a sip and said ,'Anne do you think he did anything?'

She shook her head then she said ,'But who knows I just needed him to say it but instead he assumed I didn't trust him.'

I thought for a bit and I said ,'In my opinion you need to talk but in a calmer way. When you are angry things may come out a different way and since he got sad I think he really was just hurt I don't think he did it but he may have. Tomorrow you should talk to him but talk calmly and just try and relax tonight and don't let your emotions go crazy. '

She nodded and looked like she had calmed down, she wasn't shaking anymore. I walked next to her and gave her a hug. We were in a hugging positiong for a long time and she was sniffling and I was rubbing her back.

I pulled back and held her arms and said ,'Anne never show boys how much they break you especially in high school. I'm not saying be like emotionless but don't cry in front of them, you're a strong and I know you and Ronald are going to make it out I have a feeling. '

She was smiling now and gave me hug and started sniffling and said ,'You're the best Lily and I can't be happier about you guys being my guardians.'

I smiled but I was crying too now, we were in a hug and I heard Adonis shout, 'Honey I'm home!'

He walked into the living room and made eye contact with me and saw me hugging Anne with tears rolling down my cheeks. I gave him a small smile and he mouthed ,'What's going on?'

I mouthed ,'Boy problems.'

His eyes widened and he started walking away and I rolled my eyes at his reaction. Anne pulled away from the hug and  looked around for Adonis and she saw me shaking my head.

She laughed and said ,'He ran away didn't he?'

I nodded and said ,'Exactly.'

We sat and we were watching the NBA interviews and she said ,'Hey it's the guy in your dms and another one.'

I gave her a look and Adonis plopped onto the couch next to me and said ,'Hi Anne.'

Anne smiled and said ,'Hey big brother.'

Adonis looked concerned and said ,'Are you good?'

She nodded and said ,'Yeah I'm fine now. Thanks to Lily.'

I gave her a smile and Adonis put his arm around me and looked at my face and whispered ,'Yeah.'

Adonis kept looking at my face and I was now looking at the television and he said ,'Hi baby.'

I whispered saying ,'Hi,' but I was still watching the television so he wouldn't see how he was affecting me. He lifted my chin so I was looking at him and he gave me a peck and I couldn't help the smile that spread on my face.

Anne got up and said ,'Ewww, I'd rather not.'

She walked away muttering something and Adonis was chuckling. He looked at me and I said ,'How was your day?'

He sat and stretched himself out and put his feet on the coffee table. I pushed his feet off the table and he said ,'I'm super tired and I'm just happy I came home to be with my beautiful girlfriend.'

I gave him a smile and he said ,'So how was your day?'

I shrugged and said ,' It was alright I mean I had nothing to do after your meeting so I did nothing. I can't wait to get back to work.'

I snuggled into his chest and we were watching the after game programs. I was laughing at the reporters some of them were really going in on the players.

I had texted Jay saying good game but I also made fun of him. My phone started ringing and it was a facetime from Jay. I answered the facetime and he was in a restaurant.

I smiled and waved at him he smiled and said ,'Hey Lily, I just saw your message.'

I answered and said ,'It was a nice try Jay.'

He playfully rolled his eyes and said ,'Don't even start. '

I laughed and Jay said ,'Who's that?'

I lifted the phone to show Adonis's face then back down to my face. Jay got a look on his face showing he was about to tease me. I narrowed my eyes in attempt to warn him and he said ,'Oh so that's the boy toy.'

I slapped my forehead and I could feel Adonis was laughing. I rolled my eyes at Jay and he said ,'Hey man.'

Adonis waved and said ,'Hey.'

I pointed at my phone and said ,'This is Jay he plays for the Celtics,' I turned to Jay and said ,'This is Adonis my boyfriend.'

I heard someone talking behind the phone and he said ,'It's Lily.'

The person talked again and Jay laughed and said ,'Yes the supermodel.'

Jay replied to what the guy said ,'Sure you can come say hi.'

One of the players from the Celtics came and said ,'Oh wow he wasn't lying.'

I laughed and said ,' Hi, good game.'

The guy smiled and said ,'Thank you.'

Jay was laughing and said ,'You have no idea who he is do you?'

I shook my head no and Jay burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes and I said ,'I'll talk to you another time Jay and it was nice to meet you.'

Jay laughed and said ,'Typical Lily running away from awkward situations.'

Before he could continue I ended the facetime. A text came in from him and I rolled my eyes.

Jay :

That was rude

Me:

Whatever Jay, go back to your team dinner

Jay:

Okay but you arent off the hook we should link up soon.

Me:

Yeah ofc

Adonis and I were now just talking about random things and Mrs Camry walked in and said ,'Dinner time guys.'

We got up and followed after her, she had set out plates for Adonis, Anne and I on the table. We sat and had dinner and Adonis and Anne were arguing the whole time and I sat quietly eating my dinner.

Adonis groaned and said ,'Anne, that is dumb.'

Anne narrowed her eyes and said ,'No, you're dumb.'

I rolled my eyes at the way they were acting I wasn't even sure about what they were arguing about. I got up with my dirty dishes and took them to the kitchen.

I placed the dishes in the sink and said ,'Thank you for dinner Mr and Mrs Camry.'

Mrs Camry smiled and then said,'What are those two arguing about?'

I rolled my eyes and said ,'Who knows.'

Mr and Mrs Camry laughed and I gave them another smile and walked out of the kitchen. I sat in the living room and I could still hear Adonis and Anne arguing and I couldn't help the smile.

My phone started ringing and it was Nicole and Jane. I answered and they both said ,'Hey.'

I smiled at them and plugged in my airpods so I could try focus on the conversation and not the arguing. Jane furrowed her brows and said ,'Oh my word, what is all that arguing?'

I shook my head and said, 'It's Adonis and his little sister.'

Jane looked shocked and said ,'Who knew Adonis could be so loud.'

I laughed at that and said ,'So Nicole, how'd it go?'

She sighed and said ,'Well I went to his office after the interview and we got into an argument because he was being aloof. Anyways we were arguing, well I was arguing and he was his normal cool and collected then I let it slip.'

Jane questioned ,'What did you say exactly?'

Nicole answered ,'Well I said 'you're impossible and to think I was here to tell you I love you too' guys I froze and he froze too. '

Jane and I awed and just as I was about to speak Adonis and Anne walked into the living room still arguing very loudly. I shooshed them and they quitened down. I looked back at my phone and said ,'You guys are so cute, I'm like dying.'

Jane nodded in agreement and Nicole smiled dreamily and said, 'I'm in love guys, who would have thought.'

I smiled at my friends bliss and joy and I wanted to cry because Nicole went through so much emotional ache and I was just happy she was in a healthy and good relationship. Nicole asked me ,'So how was the meeting with you know who?'

I got up and walked to the pool and sat in one of the chairs with my blanket. I shrugged and said ,'It went okay really. I took the high road but believe me when I say Josie was testing me. '

Jane have me an incredulous look and said ,'I cannot believe you took the high road.'

I laughed at Jane and she said ,'You guys are way too classy to handle mean people like Josie.'

I rolled me eyes playfully at how dramatic she was being. Nicole raised her eyebrow and said ,'Jane you haven't even met the girl.'

After that we discussed the swimwear line and we came up with marketing and all that. I then remembered and said ,'Guys I need you to keep Adonis's birthday weeknd free which is the weekend after this one and tell your guys too.'

Jane grinned and said ,'Oo do I smell a party coming?'

I smiled quite proud of what I had come up with and I said ,'Well it's on my private island and it's going to be a small party. I'm borrowing Kendall's private jet and the family jet to get people to the island. I want to keep it fairly small and intimate.'

Jane stopped me and said ,'How are you accomodating those people on your island. '

I answered and said ,'Well actually luckily enough remember when my mum had my dad's party on my island she built a villa for all their friends so there is a lot of space. '

Jane nodded and said ,'It seems full proof to me.'

I nodded and said ,'I hope it's successful, I'll just need to make sure that people are able to keep it a secret until Adonis gets there. '

Nicole cut in and said ,'Jane and I can try control that on the flight and all that.'

I felt happy at my friends willingness to help and I said ,'That would help a lot guys please. '

Nicole smiled and said, 'Of course we got you.'

Jane smiled and said ,'When do we not.'

I laughed and said, 'Thank you guys. Norman is in charge of getting Adonis there, he is going to think it's for business.'

Jane asked ,'So how long can people stay?'

I answered and I said ,'Well there are activities the whole weekend. On Friday afternoon I'm going to see Adonis so he thinks we are spending the weekend together and I'm going to try to keep the party on the down low till the actual night. We will be staying at my actual house on the island and everyone else will be at the villa and the party will be at the ballroom at the villa.'

Jane squealed and said ,'I'm so excited.'

After the call I went back into the house and I was going through a magazine while Adonis was doing some work. I was going through the magazine but I was planning out Adonis's birthday weekend getaway. I had to talk to Anne about it and see if she's okay with staying behind then we would have another trip for her to celebrate with Adonis. I had booked a surprise performance for Saturday evening during the day people could do what they wanted there were a lot of activities they could take part in. I'm so excited for this it's the forst birthday I'm spending with Adonis in years.
