Chapter 1-Life Still Goes On
Reincarnated No, But I Woke Up In A Different Body
First Person- Lucille
I stared at the face reflecting in front of myself astonishment.
"Lucille, get your butt down here!" A sickly-sweet voice yelled in a harsh tone
"C-coming," I was shocked at my voice, it had a beautiful tone to it. When reading the book, I always imagined he would have an annoying and pestering voice.
The book 'Love is difficult but so am I,' had always led me to believe that Lucille was annoying and rather unpleasant to the eye, however what I saw and heard was just beautiful.
I made my way through the oak door, there was engraving on the sides in every corner. 'Interesting I should try and find out about this later.'
I wandered to a proper mirror and looked at myself once again. I was still in shock. 'I just can't believe it I-'
"Lucille I swear to God, if you aren't down here in the next 2 minutes, you'll be doing all of the chores for the next week all on your own." A deeper voice had shouted loudly.
"Sorry, I just got distracted." I replied, I made my way down the stairs seeing engravings on them too. I paid no mind to it and just hopped down the stairs, accidentally jumping six stairs in the process.
Finally, after a longer trip then needed I made my way into the kitchen, which was connected to the dining room. "Good morning 'Mother'."
"Ah good morning my little darling,"
A woman about 5'9 had gracefully walked over to me, she had black hair that was mid length, and had the same blue eyes as me. Then a man about 6'2 strode towards me. He had the same short, glossy blonde hair as me and dark wine like red eyes.
"Good morning 'father',"
"A wonderful morning to you too Luci, breakfast is on the table." His low yet humble voice grumbled.
"Alrighty, I'll be getting ready after I eat," I said back as I walked into the small but still spacious dining room.
I sat in the spot from Lucille's memories, the second closest chair to the fireplace on the right, there was no chair at the head of the table like you would typically see.
Across from me was who I believed is Aluxio, Lucille's older brother.
Though he was never described in the book, many people in the fanbase believed he was just like Lucille. Though Lucille's memories were still foggy, from what I have found out is that he is a well rounded person. Much like the rest of his family he is intelligent and we'll mannered yet still a fun person.
Though he did not look like Lucille in the slightest he still had a charm to him. He had raven hair much like his mother, and the same eyes as his father.
The next person to enter the dining room was the twin sister of Aluxio, Cytherea. She was also rather intelligent and is very good at economics.
Much like her brother she had the same black hair, however she had the same blue eyes as Lucille and their mother. "Good morning you two, I hope you slept well last night."
Me and Aluxio both chimed back "Good morning to you too, we did."
Finally, entered a small girl. This was Elysia a spitting image of her father The same blonde hair and Red eyes. She had a talent for literature despite her age her intelligence was well above an average teen when it came to literature.
"Good morning," she said with a yawn.
"Good morning," All three of us said together.
At last, everyone was at the table, and eating. Then 'fathers' voice said "I just want to remind everyone that the Banquet for your school is tonight. I want you guys to be the best versions of yourselves even though there are crude people there."
"I'd also like to add in," chimed 'mother,' "you three, next time you are trying to hide the fact that you are staying up later than your supposed too. You should not leave the candles on in your bedrooms while you're asleep."
I felt a sudden tinge of guilt, as Lucille's memories of staying up doing embroidery last night. I then continued eating.
'Wait, this is the perfect timing' I thought to myself, this is because in the book Lucille obtained his horrible reputation at first for spilling punch on the female leads dress.
Once I was finished I went to the kitchen to wash my dishes. After that I went back to my bedroom to change, I picked out a simple worn down dress shirt and pants. I brushed out my hair trying to tame me bedhead.
After I was finished I looked at myself in the mirror. I had tucked my shirt into my high waisted pants. My hair was wavey and fluffed up.
I then made my way to the library. As I entered, there was Cytherea on a leather couch.
"Ah Lucille, wonderful seeing you here. Did you know that as soon as those people stole the throne. The Rosetta Kingdom has been suffering mass economic problems. The spike is lower and steeper than ever, not in the good way."
"I mean it's as expected," I replied to her. 'So everyone is aware, I mean it makes sense'
"Yeah, excited for the banquet?"
"More or less, just a little nervous." I said uneasiness in my voice.
Then, she walked over and gave me a hug. Despite her not actually being my sister, it still felt like it was the most comforting thing I've ever felt."Shh, Shh everything will be okay."
After the hug she went back to reading and I looked around for books. 'Embrodiery for Different Occasions' 'No, not needed Lucille had memorized this to back, Found it!' 'The History of the Rosetta's'
I smiled in glee, I quickly made my way out of the Library saying my byes to Cytherea. As I made my way down the same stairs as the morning I went to the back door connected to the living room.
"Ah Lucille, amazing seeing you here." shouted 'Father.'
"Nice to see you too," I said back noticing apron like garment and gloves, "Gardening?" I questioned.
"You know it," he said gleaming hair in the sun, "I finished my work quite early so I decided to tend to the garden a bit."
"Yeah? Well I'll be on my way," I replied hastily.
"Oh, that book did you know your grandpa wrote that himself before the incident." He said rather sorrowfully.
"Dad, everything is going to be okay." I said hugging him
"Yeah... Yeah! It will be." He said now reassured, "You and your siblings have a talent for always bringing back hope," He smiled.
"I'm going to go read now, see you," I yelled running.
"Okay, make sure to stay safe!" He yelled as I entered the forest.
As I walked along a path I saw a tree, as I walked up to it I noticed my hair becoming brown, much like how it was described as in the book. I closed my eyes and cleared my mind. As I tried to think of a reason, trying to see Lucille's memories. 'Aha a magic barrier' The actual Rosetta family had put a instant illusion barrier for when they leave.
'But why?' As soon as I thought that something popped in my mind, The Rosetta's and the Alanic's the family 'mother' was from both have decernable features that define them. For our case its our hair and eyes.
I then hear a rustling in the bushes. I look over to see 'a capture target?' He looked shocked.
This was Alibis Enshire, the son of the duke. He stood at about 5'9, had long lilac hair tied in a high ponytail. He had a noticible scar across his hand.
"Uh, hey mind explaining that?" He questioned cautiously.
"Uh..." I panicked. 'Had he saw?'
"Oh come on, your telling me the only other person who could've seen that bird with a sword didn't see it!" He exclaimed in a weird tone
"Anyways, the names Alibis Enshire, pleasure meeting you." He said bowing not missing a single beat.
"Oh! Uh Lucille, the pleasure is all mine," I said still uneasy.
"Oh you're one of the honors students at Rosetta Academy of the Elite!" He said in bliss, "Anyways what are you reading?"
"The History of the Rosetta's," I said, but as I vocalized it something went off in his brain.
"Anyways I've gotta go," he said more rushed as the seconds went by. "See you around!" He yelled giving a curious gaze back in my direction.
"Uh yeah, see you I guess." 'I never thought that capture targets could be so weird.'
Finally I was able to climb the tree, I had scrapped myself in the process. By the time I got my entire body up with the book I noticed the cut was gone. 'Oh yeah, because the Rosetta's represent light and life as well as death they have the capability to heal.' I thought rolling my eyes.
Finally, I had finished. While I was reading I noticed there was added pages for us. I presume it was Aluxio because of his very descriptive profile compared to the others.
I decided to go back home, as I walked when I reached the barrier point my hair went back to normal and I presume my eyes did too.
When I got back I went to my room to get ready for the Banquet. The thing other than spilling punch on the princess that screwed Lucille over is that he held a scowl the whole time.
Another thing that created a bad reputation for the entire family is that they arrived late. The carriage they had taken sent by the kingdom had been very slow and off track. However, this time that won't happen this time cause I'm here.
As I finished I looked at myself in the mirror, my hair was the same as in the morning. I had on a dress shirt with sleeves that poofed out. I had a dark red ribbon that had a broach, tied around the neck of the shirt. I had on a bluish grey vest. My shirt and vest tucked into my dress pants. I had long socks and dress shoes.
In my pocket I had an embroidered handkerchief. On it was a light yellow rose with white lily's around it. This was the symbol of the Rosetta Kingdom.
As I made my way down stairs I noticed 'father' in a light yellow vest with gold embroidery and a frilly dress shirt with a tie with a broach in the middle just like mine.
'Mother was standing next to him in a dark blue dress that reached her ankles. It had no shoulders and just went around her chest with a gold lining and went down her arms and poofed out into white frills with gold embroidery around the elbow.
It was a solid dark blue down until her hips which had a slightly lighter blue. Then it changed into the same dark blue as before with multiple frills for the skirt, each embroidered at the end. She had on solid black heels with gold moons on them
Aluxio and Cytherea both came down at the same time. Matching each other's pace and posture
Cytherea had on a light yellow dress with a pearl necklace and her hair up in a white bow. With gold accents much like 'fathers' suit. It had a wide v-line, where a thick white brim ran across with the same pattern of gold.
She had short filly sleeves and like mother's dress it was solid in the chest and waist, however hers was light yellow. She had a bow around he waist and tied in the back. Her dress was solid with a slit in the middle, and at the very end it was three rows of frills.
Aluxio on the other hand had a dark blue vest on top of a tight fit dress shirt. He had a bow tie, which in the middle had. A cresent moon much like the one on 'mothers' shoes. He had tight fit dress pants and dress shoes much like mine.
Then, the last one to come down Elysia. She had a frilly light yellow dress she had white stocking that ran down to her small heels. She had her half of her hair down and the other half tied in braids evenly on both sides of her head tied in the back with a white ribbon
Her dress went up to her neck with frills, she then had, a necklace over it. She had a middle piece like 'mothers.' However she had a white and light yellow dual colored top to her dress. The bottom of her dress had a slit in the middle with frills going all along it, the sides were a solid yellow that ended at he ankles.
"Alright looks like everyone is ready to go," 'Fathers' voice boomed over the tense atmosphere.
"Wait," I shouted, "I have handkerchiefs for everyone," I chimed.
"How lovely of you Lucille." 'Mother'chimed in.
Everyone stared at it a bit until putting them into their pockets,
And off we go.
