Chapter 15-A Guest

I looked towards the tea set in front of me, the peppermint flavor seeping into it as it got darker. Slowly I started to pour the tea in my cup and then the cup in front of me. Right behind the cup was Bê's doll. 'Let's hope this works...'

I waited patiently staring at the doll... nothing. I turned towards Sorin ready to get up and give up. "Oh my gosh these back cramps man, couldn't of kept me in there any longer could ya?"

I turned back shocked, "Bê!"

The mask faced creature responded instantly "That's me-" They paused, "So what did you need me for?"

"Well you see there is this prince from the neighboring kingdom, prince August," I cleared out my throat, "And he plans on performing a world reset getting rid of all magic in the process so I figured you could help after all I believe it would prove much significance to your life."

"Very much so, there are to many things I care about in this world they all hold a very close place to my heart... I'll have an idea that will hopefully be in full swing by the next time I see you, too da loo." They waved bye with a crooked hand, "Till we meet again dearest friend of mine."

"Bye, I'll see you soon!" I sat back for a moment as they turned to smoke. 'They barely know me and yet they are so willing to help, I can't wait for next time,"

That was as of last week, after that though it seemed as if everyone was on edge, the hallways in school started to feel like everyone I didn't know were vultures staring down prey.

Orion lightly kissed my hand as he left for his dance classes, "Be safe out there." I was going to meet with Prince Autumn so Orion was extremely worried about the outcomes because as Uri had said 'I needed to get things on with him.'

I headed towards Evelyn, her talking to Melora. She was going to be taking me to the castle, we only had a few weeks left until things got into motion.

The air was tense as we made our way towards the castle, soon I spotted Uri. We waved as Evelyn soon went towards the other direction 'She really doesn't like Prince Autumn' I spotted the devil himself behind Uri. "Please be safe Lucille, he's a very dangerous person, and if you get hurt the both of us know Orion is going to have me dead by the next morning."

Uri walked with me towards Autumn, "Your highness, I've brought Lucille here because of his families current situation,"

"Come with me for a private talk," He grasped my hand as if he had found an opportunity. We made our way towards a table situated in the garden.

He pulled out a chair for me as the both of us had sat down. "Lucille, it's wonderful to finally be able to have a one on one talk with you." Prince Autumn cleared out his throat preparing to speak, "I am aware of your families current situation and their right to the throne. I have a proposal for you that I am sure you will agree on.... Poison Evelyn and I'll do the rest,"

I took a deep breath in, "And how exactly will that help me get my family name back?"

"It's simple dear Luci, when the one and only daughter of the so called Rosetta family dies they'll be at their weakest state grieving, once your family is able to take control of the crown again we can start to form an alliance where you could help me build an empire without magic. Think about it once all magic is gone no one will ever be able to impersonate your family again!"

I sat there shocked trying to think about what answer would be best for the situation, "I don't believe that I could poison Evelyn myself, so I can't go through with that part of the plan... however I could convince some of the staff to help with that and I will help you with whatever you need."

"That would be wonderful, it just feels amazing to have someone on my side, it feels lately everyone in this kingdom including the current royal family have been cold to me and avoiding me overall." He paused for a moment sipping tea, "I cannot express how grateful I am to you especially because I had assumed that you had hated me based of our most recent meeting with one another. You should know that you are really helping a good cause here." He smiled, not a real smile, a deceiving smile.

I exited the garden letting all the built up stress that I had release, and this happened week after week, turning into every other day. Going from school to the garden and continuously hearing the prince tell his son story about how magic had messed up the world and made people cruel and untrustworthy.

I walked into the cafe, this was one of the only days where I didn't have to go see the prince. I greeted the older Mr.Norbert and soon mad my way up the flights of stairs. I saw Orion as I had finally made it all the way up. "Luci! You're here,"

I felt my guts squeezed out as Orion hugged me tightly, "Finally"  I exhaled.

I sat down by Melora and Orion as we settled down at the multitude of tables combined. "There are so many people here..."

I felt glares on me as I looked around noticing some of the people around the tables were also knights along with Uri. "Lucille now that you're here do you mind sharing what you've found out."

I stood up in my seat, "Prince Autumn seems to know very well how to put up a front and create a pity case out of his life, he's explained to me that he has been slowly building up an army of people who've been affected by magic in the worst ways possible to slowly build up an army." I paused "He had reached out to me because of my family's position and Evelyn's family position, his original plan was to have me poison Evelyn, he wouldn't tell me the rest, however I have reason to believe that he would've made an announcement of some sort to bring attention to the fact that Evelyn's family had impersonated my family creating chaos in the kingdom and showing the effects of magic and why it should be gone and we should restart the world as we know it."

I sat down letting a breath I hadn't known I was holding. I felt a hand on mine rubbing circles in the palm of my hand. I looked towards Orion, "You did good doll"

"Thanks"

We sat there both sipping tea watching as others presents their information.

We were exiting the cafe when I was about to turn to go home when I felt my wrist grasped and a whisper in my ear, "Doll could we please just wander around shopping, or something... We barely spend any time together anymore!"

"I'd love to, after all this is one of my only free days." I felt Orions grasp get tighter  as he started to drag me in the other direction. I rushed nearly tripping over my feet to keep up with him.

We went into a clothing shop trying on matching pairs of everything we could find, sadly only being able to buy a few. I looked around trying to find Orion. 'Where did he go?'

"Right here," I shivered as I felt his breath on my neck, "Your shocked expression is so cute... now I need you wrist please,"

I held out my wrist, "You shouldn't scare me like that."

"Sorry, couldn't resist.... I knew it would be a perfect fit!" I looked down at my wrist to see a bracelet, "I have one that goes with it right here." Orion stated showing me his left wrist, both bracelets had the same gold and dark blue design.

"Thank you, it looks so nice"

"Just means our wedding rings will have to nicer right?" I looked up at Orion my temperature rising. I stood there stunned 'How can someone just say something like that-' Orion pulled me towards the front desk soon paying for everything.

We walked hand in hand down the busy streets, despite being dark people were still lively. I looked towards Orion smiling, he then gave my cheek a light peck, "I've missed you."

"Same here, it seems like we never spend any one on one time together." We continued the rest of the journey in silence. Before I knew it I saw my bangs turn a light blonde.

"I'll see you at school Luci, love you."

"I love you too!" I waved as Orion walked away.

I walked into my house, seeing everyone in the living room watching mom and dad play chess. The air was dense.... "Checkmate"

Dad suddenly shouted "Dang it" as mom consoled him for his lost.

(A/N)- I am so glad I finally got the motivation to finish this chapter, I finished all the latest chapters of The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass and I just had to write. I hope everyone has a wonderful day or night, bye my lovelies
