Chapter 12-Dancing and Books

I was about to get up and leave until I felt someone grab my wrist. "Dancing remember,"

"Oh! Yeah sorry about that Orion I forgot."

"It's okay, let's go!"

We both rushed through the hallways, they were less crowded from before sewing as other people had already left or were in their club rooms.

We made it to a slightly larger room that had a huge open floor and a seating area by the entrance. As we entered an older lady spoke "Ah, Orion I see that you've finally gotten yourself a partner, good enough." The entire time she had her eyes focused on me, her eyes scanning up and down. Her hair was in a tight low bun.

There was a voice that suddenly spoke from behind the women. "That's wonderful, it's a pleasure to meet you, you can call me Ms.Cyrus and her Ms.Margot." Ms.Cyrus smiled from behind, her orange hair being in a loose low ponytail.

"Alright let's begin," Ms.Margot clapped her hands getting everyone else's attention.

"Ms.Margot why is he here?" I looked over at where the voice came from, it was a person from my math class.

"And what exactly do you mean by that Mr.Smith?"

"Well wouldn't want water boy splashing us." At that moment they pointed at me directing everyone's attention 'Great...'

"Now now Mr.Smith that doesn't mean we have to not let someone participate."

"But I don't want to get wet after all I just got new shoes." They said in a mocking voice. 'I'm about to kill a man-' My hands shook as I dug my fingernails in my palm. Orion put his finger in between mine stopping my palm from bleeding.

"Mr.Smith out now-" Ms.Cyrus called out in a harsh tone.

"Alright class while they are out, we should start class."

Orion grabbed my hand as everyone went around the middle of the room. Everyone was in a waltz position, me and Orion held out the two of out hands out on the side of us meanwhile my other hand rested on his shoulder, his arm around my waist.

There was a slow start to the music that had started to play. It slowly started to speed up as we went around the room. Everyone avoided one another as we all spun around while circling the room.

Soon the person from before re-entered with Ms.Cyrus and went to their partner. We all still continued to dance until the music slowly started to stop.

"Lucille, if you don't mind could you come here, everyone else please stretch" Ms.Cyrus called out.

"Oh, alright!"

"Alright so we will need you to fill out some of these forms, we are so glad that you were able to be a partner for Orion." Ms.Cyrus gave me a small stack of papers. I sat down on the bench and started to read over them, filling out the needed information as I went along.

I felt eyes on the back of my neck as I flipped to the next page, I looked over to where the stare was coming from. Both me and Ms.Margot made eye contact as I did.

"You certainly have the physique for dance, although can't say I'm impressed."

I finished filling out the papers handing them to her. "Very well, go warm up along with the others."

I went over to Orion, He was down in a split holding his foot in his hand. I slipped down joining him on the floor. Ms.Margot clapped her hands grabbing everyone's attention in the room.

Class went on for about another half hour as we danced around. There were a few slip ups however nothing bad, the one guy from my class continued to stare at me the entire time.

Me and Orion went through the front gates of the school, walking along the path to town. We walked around the stalls heading into some stores.

"Hey Luci wanna go to this cafe?" Orion pointed towards a little victorian style building with had a sign hanging that had a stack of books and cup of coffee.

"Sure, smells nice." I said as the smell of fresh pastries and food filled the air

We walked across the brick road towards it making our way through the door as the bell rung.

As we entered, there was a little old man that resembled Me.Norbert by the slightest stood at the counter, "What brings two young fellas like you in here?" The man spoke, squinting his eyes.

"Oh we're just stopping by, this place looks fascinating."

"Indeed it is," The man reached for his glasses that were lying right by the cash register, "Ah, you two are from Rosetta academy, don't see a lot of those students come here very often."

"Really I'd expect more people to come here, I mean We've only just entered and it's a wonderful atmosphere!" Orion spoke after taking in everything although there was still so much more than what met the eye.

"Thank you very much, now what would you two like to order."

"Oh, could I have a cup of dancing caramel tea, and an egg sandwich."

"And what about you?"

Orion stared at the menu for another minute, "I'll have some macaroons and a singing latte."

"Alright, coming right up,"

The older man went back through a door, as me and Orion stood there waiting. He came through once again Holding a tray. As he placed down the tray both of the cups started to flash with lights, and then the cups started to form figures. The cup that I presumed had me caramel tea started to wisp around as little people appeared making movements. Orion's started to play a soft melody, both of our cups matching up with one another.

I chuckled at the thought of how alike it was to Mr.Norberts magic, "and what's so funny boy?"

"Sorry, your magic just reminds me so much of teachers."

"I was thinking the exact same thing Luci!"

"Oh really, actually my son works at your academy we both share the last name Norbert."

"Yeah that's him, we actually have him as our magics teacher." I nodded along as Orion spoke

"Well that's just wonderful, really is a small world," he whispered to himself. There was a ringing all throughout the cafe as someone entered through the front door, "Well boys you better go sit down right about now, don't want your drinks to get cold."

Both me and Orion said "Thanks," in unison as I grabbed the tray. We walked along the shop, each wall covered with books. We turned to corner, there was genres listed on signs sectioning the areas off. We went up a small spiral staircase that had the lable fantasy. Along the staircase there was some lanterns, mushroom houses and what looked to be little people. We then looked up as we made our way to the second story platform. The ceilings seemed to stretch on forever as they went up, you could see a slight light from string lights once the windows had disappear the further it went.

We chose a seat  that was just overlooking a balcony. It was right by a bunch of fantasy novels, some picture books included. I was surprised to see that some of the classics from the original world I was from here. There was even some more modern stories too which had shocked me. I had decided to take 'Over the Garden Wall' I remember being obsessed with it as soon as I had watched it that back in my original world I had bought all of the comics as soon as I finished watching the show within an hour and a half.

I looked over to Orion to see that he had picked out 'Hansel and Gretel' We both smiled at each other as we made eye contact, each taking a sip out of our drinks.

I looked down at my book as I started to open it there was suddenly a loud shout from across the platform we were on, "No way Lucille is that you!" I looked up as I saw Uri running towards Orion and me.

"Uri what are you doing here?"

"Oh the first prince wanted to check this place out, what a coincidence to see you here though." As Uri spoke I noticed the huge pile of books that he had been carrying. "Its crazy how many books they have here, some of these books even seem like they're from another world."

I nearly choked on my tea as I continued to sip it, 'I- how- what?'

"Anyways, how are you and you family, I heard about what happened with the second prince." He whispered the last part, covering the side of his mouth as he spoke.

"Oh, yeah everything is fine now," I smiled at him.

"Uri, why are you all the way over here?" There was a rather loud voice that spoke.

"Oh your highness, sorry about that I just saw Lucille and I had to say hi."

The person who I believed was the first prince started to mutter my name, "Lucille, Lucille.... Oh Lucille," he cleared his throat he grabbed both of my hands clasping them in both of his "I'd like to formally apologize for my younger brothers actions. I heard about what happened and I am grateful for you and your family for forgiving my brothers absurd actions I am in great debt to you." He kneeled on his knee as he spoke. Kissing my hands once he finished

I lifted my hands from his grasp as I spoke "Oh please there is no need for you to apologize, after all you had no control of the actions your bother took."

"You are too kind, I would love to stay and I'm sure Uri would as well however we must be on our way."

"Bye Luci see you soon!"

"See you too, bye" I waved as Uri turned the corner leading out, you could hear the bell ring again once they left. I sat there for a second. There was an unnerving feeling in the atmosphere for awhile.

I took a deep breath in and looked back at Orion"Sorry about that Orion I didn't expect anyone to be here."

"Oh I had no problem with it at all."

We continued to drink as we started to eat, the toasted bread crunched as I bit into it, the egg yolk dripping as I did.

Recipe:

Ingredients-

Egg

Bread

Lettuce

Peppers

Salt

Butter

Step 1-Spread butter on both side of two slices of bread

Step 2-Put some butter on you pan, after the butter is bubbling put bread on the pan and wait until both sides are golden brown

Step 3-Make egg however you want, I do a dippy egg

Step 4-Put salt on egg as you out it on bread, then put lettuce and cut peppers on top

There was a light music still playing from Orion's latte.

"Hey..." I looked at Orion as he paused, "I just wanted to say that I want you to know how much you mean to me."

"Aww thanks you mean a lot to me too, I care very much for you as well."

Orion took a big gulp of air before speaking, "So... I wanted you to know that I will always be by your side no matter what. You mean the world to me." He held my hand in his across the table.

"And I'll be by yours, forever and always." As I spoke I felt heat rise to my face, the steam that was still coming from my cup didn't help either.

He took my hand and placed a kiss right where the first prince had, "Thank you so so much for being in my life."

I smiled at him as I grabbed his hand and kissed the top of it as well, "I should be the one thanking you."

We both stared for a few seconds, soon both of us averting eyes. I looked at the clock on the wall 4:45, "I think we should get home soon,"

"Yeah," Both me and Orion stood back up putting both of our books back in the places they were before we had came. We headed back towards the front door saying our byes to Mr.Norberts dad.

"I hope you two come back, and make sure to bring some more friends next time," The older man waved to us.

"We'll make sure to, after all this is a wonderful place," both me and Orion shouted, the bell rang once again as we opened the door.

"Bye, I'll see you tomorrow" I hugged Orion as we were about to go out opposites way down the street.

I felt Orion whisper in my "Bye Lovely," He started to run with red cheeks.

"Hey, you can't just leave like that!" I shouted, "Get back here you!" All I could see once I finished was his soft green hair.

(A/N)-I was going to post last night however I got to caught up reading a webtoon, I also just watched Over The Garden Wall and watched it again cause it's ten times better after the first time! Bye my Lovelies!
