Riley gritted her teeth and tears welled up in her eyes. Tears and sweat were mixing on her pale face and they dripped onto the side of her lips. They mixed with the blood on her lips and dripped onto her white shirt. Her white shirt was dyed red.

Why would you come? You ignored me for 3 years and humiliated me for another three. You could have your peace and not need to feel conflicted about it anymore. So why did you choose to come?

She cried a river thinking about it. Her shoulder violently trembled as she cried silently.

Euan parked his car in front of the shabby house and stood right in the middle of the door without any fear. He was in a luxurious black suit and at this moment, he looked like Grim Reaper. He glanced across the empty hall on the first floor with a keen and cold gaze, one hand in the pocket and no emotions on his face.

He didn’t look like he was here to rescue someone but was just here to observe.

Nobody could win against his presence.

The kidnapper in the black shirt was holding his gun. He smirked as he saw the suitcase Euan’s was holding.

“I got the money, where’s Riley?”

Euan said with a frigid tone of voice.

“Don’t worry, we won’t let you go home empty-handed. You came all the way here after all.”

The kidnapper walked in front and Euan followed him. He observed the house frantically and was looking for hidden traps with his sharp eyes and keen senses.

It felt calm, but he was sure that they had something planned for him.

He could feel a murderous intention in the air. It was familiar and substantial, reminding him of a feeling he felt before in the past.

Euan acted like he didn’t notice anything and suddenly, the kidnapper halted in his tracks.

“Mr. George, bullets don’t have eyes. Please be careful.”

Euan snorted coldly, “Bring me to her!”

The man walked upstairs. It was a shabby house and the stairs were not in good condition. The dust was sticking to Euan’s pants as he walked. His Armani slacks were soon covered in dust, turning white.

As they turned around the corner, Euan saw a woman being tied to a pillar...

He felt his heart throbbed and his eyes were turning warm. It was hard to breathe as if someone were choking him. His tears might fall if he wasn’t being careful.

Euan let go of the suitcase and it fell onto the ground. The gust of dust swirled around him and dirtied Euan’s suit jacket. He grimaced.

The sniper hiding in the dark aimed his gun at Euan.

“He’s not my man! He sleeps around and never thinks of himself as my man,” she said as she smiled. She then looked up slowly and said, “Mr.

George, have you finally decided to sign the divorce paper? Are you going to sign it today?”

Riley signalled Euan about the location of the sniper with her eyeballs as she talked. Euan was a smart man, he had to understand what she was trying to tell him.

Euan was here. No matter what his intention was, she wouldn’t let him die.

With one hand in his pocket, Euan looked at Riley. His eyes were filled with disdain and he didn’t even bother to take a second look at her, “You think I’m here to rescue you? You’re so naïve, Riley. I’m just here to end you myself. Do you really think I’m here to rescue you after all you’ve done?

Sleeping around with other men during the past three years and giving me a bad name?”

He then looked at the man in black and said, “Thank you for leaving her alive for me. Here’s the money and her life is mine to take now.”

He walked up and pressed the gun that the man was holding against himself, and put the documents on the dusty table.
